RETRIEVER (FLATCOATED)

PUPPY (5)

1st Lane & Lane-Ridyard’s KULAWAND CALLISTO

A very well put together youngster, who headed a quality puppy class. He is so well balanced and presents a clean outline in profile. Typical well moulded head with dark eye and intelligent expression. Excellent front and shoulders and the best of hindquarters with good width to thigh. He held his topline well on the move with correct tail carriage and was so sound moving out and back. Should have a very bright future. BP

2nd Jones BENVELLYN SEQUOIA

Another promising puppy, not as mature as the dog. Pleasing clean cut headpiece with intelligent expression. Well developed front assembly with good depth to chest, well ribbed, desired short loin and correct rear angulation. A confident puppy on the move with wagging tail action.

A very pleasing class of youngsters. A super young dog who is so well balanced throughout. Pleasing well moulded head with good eye colour. Good neck length, best of shoulders and front, firmly made throughout body with strong loin. A very sound and free mover with correct tailset. 3rd Egginton & Egginton Davis PAJANBECK THINK OF ME

POST-GRADUATE (8)

1st Egginton & Davis PAJANBECK ONE MOMENT IN TIME

Placed in the strong Yearling class, but lacks maturity at the moment. Very pleasing head and expression with dark eye. When stacked she presents a balanced outline, with good depth to chest and moderate rear angulation. Needs to steady on the move to give her best.

2nd Bugh’s RAVENCRAG LIMITED EDITION

Pleasing in head with good eye colour, adequate reach of neck. Has a firm topline and well rounded hind quarters with strong hocks. Much more settled on the move than in the previous class.

3rd Turner’S ANGEL UNDERCOVER TAKE MY BREATH AWAY

LIMIT (5)

1st Leavey’s HOPEVALLEY MORNING SHINE OVER WYCHWIZARD

Very pleasing in head with intelligent expression and kind dark eye and correct earset. Firm throughout body with adequate depth, hindquarters of good width with strong hocks. She was erratic on the move today.

2nd Wilson’s HAMELDOWNTOR PEDRO XIMENEZ

Well off for bone and substance and presents a typical outline. Pleasing head proportions with correct stop. Well laid shoulders, needs to be tighter in pasterns which let him down on front movement. Has a lovely dense coat and presented in good muscular condition.

OPEN (5)

1st Lewin’s VYNESBROOK DEJA BLEU

I was drawn to this bitch for her overall balance and sound construction and right amount of bone. She has a lovely feminine head with correct proportions and good length, pleasing neck length and well placed shoulders. She is well ribbed with strong hindquarters and moved out freely off strong hocks. Shown in gleaming coat with adequate furnishings. My BOB and I understand shortlisted in the group.

2nd Wilson’s HAMELDOWNTOR MUSIC OF THE NIGHT

A quality seven year old bitch who is well made throughout. Good head, bright expression and kind dark eye. Sound front assembly with good depth of chest and well angulated hindquarters. Not as positive in hind action as my winner.

3rd Walker & Roberts GLOI DUHBJUST ONE LOOK

WELSH SPRINGER SPANIEL

PUPPY (3)

1st Harrison’s GLENBROWS AMADEUS

Three promising youngsters in this class. My first was a well constructed male that presented a pleasing symmetrical outline when stacked. His head has correct proportions, pleasing expression and good eye colour. Correct body shape with good topline and correct tailset. He was racing on the move round but he settled and moved soundly when moved individually to win the class.

2nd Harrison’s GLENBROWS HARMONY

Another attractive puppy with typical head of good shape to skull and correct earset.

Not as soundly made in front assembly as my winner. She is well ribbed with adequate rear angulation. Her coat is developing well and I liked her colouring.

3rd Wallington’s FERNDEL RENZO AT ROVINJDAL

SPECIAL YEARLING (2)

1st Harrison’s GLENBROWS CASANOVA

A top quality young dog, classic head with correct dome to skull, dark eye and well shaped ears. Shoulders well laid and good straight front, good length to height ratio which already gives him such balance when stacked. His coat has a rich colour and excellent texture. Moved out freely on a good even stride. Should do very well as he matures. BP & Res BOB

2nd GLENBROWS HARMONY (repeat)

POST-GRADUATE (2)

1st Stevenson MYMMSBROOK MATADOR WITH BLYTHWAY JW

I have judged this dog previously and he has developed well. He has a very attractive head with adequate stop and correct earset. He is very well balanced with correct angles both fore and aft and has good bone and substance. Good width to thigh and strong hindquarters. He moved out well on a smooth ground covering stride, just tends to fly his tail on the move. BOB

2nd Tew’s PAMICKS DREAM WITH ME

A bitch with a very pleasing head, kind expression and good eye colour. Neck of adequate length and well laid shoulders. She has good height to length ratio. Correct rear angulation and strong hocks. Shown in good coat and condition coat and moved soundly.
