Many thanks for the invite to judge at this friendly, well run show. Thanks to the exhibitors for a super entry and to my lovely steward for keeping things running smoothly.

CHESAPEAKE BAY RETRIEVERS

J (1) 1 Boyles Pixiesrock Mr Tumnus By Bleyos correct head shape with broad skull and good eye colour. Strong neck, shoulders well laid back, super bone and feet, good depth and spring of rib, well muscled hindquarters , thick dense oily coat, moved soundly and freely with a strong back, correct topline and tail carriage, pleased to award him BOB

PG (3) 1 Boyles Pixiesrock Mr Tumnus By Bleyos 2 Pont’s Amore Of Ridsome (imp It) of good breed type, feminine head with alert expression, ample bone and body, well coated and of good oily texture. Moved out positively 3 Watts Oakleaf Manor Bay of Oakmarsh (Imp Deu) JW

O (4) 1 Pont’s Sh Ch Oakmarsh Dancing Diva Lovely head with strength but retaining femininity, super bone and feet, good depth and spring of rib, firm in topline and moved out well from strong hindquarters, good dense oily coat, just preferred the free movement of the junior RBOB 2 Watts Oakmarsh Acorn SGWC VW At 13 years is a credit to her owner. Of good make and shape all through. Well laid shoulders, ample depth and spring of rib. Shown in hard condition and coat quite acceptable for age. 3 Watt’s Oakmarsh Freedom

POINTERS

J (4,2a) 1 Baines Vadkartya’s Hen Harrier this young lemon/w had a pleasing head shape with kind expression. Super front and feet, ample depth and good length of rib, strong, well angulated rear, moved soundly and freely, covering the ground effortlessly. BOB 2 Lake’s Lithespirit Daisy Hamilton 15mth liver/w a little stronger in head than winner and would prefer a softer expression. Stands on good legs and feet, ample body, moved well in profile.

PG (3) 1 Marsh’s Lithespirit Hope and Glory for Ratchda strongly built liver/w male with pleasing head and eye, good depth of brisket, lovely bone and feet, shown in hard condition, moved true fore and aft. 2 Robson’s Codnorhawk Dinky Stta feminine all through, moved out steadily but preferred front construction of winner. 3 Hall’s Jilony Columbo At Dalhallpals

O (4,1a) 1 Matthews Sonham Chasing Rainbows B/W girl with lovely head and expression, super bone and feet, clean neck, well placed shoulders and presented a lovely outline when stood. Thought she was carrying a little too much weight today which affected her front movement but pleased to award her RBOB 2 Robson’s Bradgate Until Dusk B/W has the loveliest of heads, of good breed type but not the depth of winner and would prefer tighter feet. Moved out with purpose 3 Hall’s Jilony Columbo At Dalhallpals

GERMAN WIREHAIRED POINTERS

J (1) 1 Quinn’s Germanus Hotwyr Yindi a very promising young male with pleasing well furnished head and kind eye, lovely bone and feet, ample depth and ribbing for age, stands and moves true, just lost out on maturity for top honours RBOB.

PG (1) Shepherd’s Kimmax Kallin Danny Boy Over 2yr old male of lovely breed type, masculine throughout with super bone and good feet. Strong neck, good depth of chest and well ribbed back, strong loin, has good coat texture and furnishings, correct angulation fore and aft, covered the ground soundly with drive. BOB and pleased to see him awarded BIS congratulations.

O (1) Shepherd’s Kimmax Klean Sweep 6 year old bitch with pleasing head shape and expression, ample bone and body properties, moved with purpose, in good overall coat and condition

HUNGARIAN WIREHAIRED VISZLAS

P (2,1a) O’Keefe’s Emily’s Choice At Castlegarnstone 10 mth old with feminine head and expression, ample bone and good feet, presents a lovely outline when stood and moved out very steadily. Coat on the change at present so a little soft BP

J (2) 1 Spillane’s Belatarr Kodiak lovely headed young dog, straight front and good feet, ample depth and good length of body, has strength throughout without being overdone. Correct harsh coat. Moved out soundly with correct topline and tail carriage BOB and pleased to see him shortlisted for BIS 2 Tasker’s Zoldmali Ezmi (imp Serb) smart young dog with pleasing head and expression, lovely breed type, in good coat just not as precise on the move as the winner.

O (1) Spillane’s Belatarr Jupiter 6 year old male with super head and expression, nicely balanced throughout and in good coat and hard condition, moved out true fore and aft, just felt his younger kennel mate had that extra sparkle for top honours RBOB

WEIMARANERS

P (3) 1 Longbottom & Milby’s Gunalt Curtain Call super youngster with most pleasing head and expression, well set ears of good length, clean neck, super front and feet, ample depth and good length of rib, correct angulation fore and aft. Once she got into her stride she covered the ground well BP 2 Hill’s Weipowa Ida another lovely girl who pushed the winner all the way. Feminine head, ample neck, well constructed forequarters but to be critical would prefer tighter feet. Nicely developed body for age, moved soundly. 3 Rayner & Maskell’s Enjager Access To Raystans

J (3) 1 Hill’s Weipower Ida 2 Suett’s Silberliss Peckham Pouncer masculine all through, balanced head with pleasing expression, strong bone, feet ok. Good length of body, strong loin. Moved well in profile just needs to tighten in front. 3 Jennings Wallaroo Romeo

PG (7,2a) 1 Filby & Brown’s Desjiem Billy Don’t be A Hero JW headed a mixed class at different stages of development, liked him for size and balance, pleasing head, strong neck, ample ribbing and strong loin. Moved out soundly from well muscled hindquarters. 2 Pilatova’s Sabsky Svratka JW lovely breed type, feminine all through with balanced head, straight front with good feet. Well handled and moved out true. 3 Suett’s Silberliss Saucy Mare JW

O (10,3a) A pleasure to judge this quality class 1 Rodgers Sh Ch Minstergate Carnival JW one I judged as a puppy and pleased to see she has fulfilled her promise. Most pleasing head, strong neck leading to well laid shoulders. Excels in front construction with best of feet. Good depth of brisket and ample ribbing. Strong loin with moderate tuck up, moves out effortlessly from well muscled hindquarters, keeping a level topline BOB and pleased to see her awarded BIS3 2 Maskell & Rayners Enjager Harmony With Brownbank JW very promising 2 year old with pleasing head and expression, ample bone and body properties, she is nicely balanced all through, moved out soundly RBOB 3 Hill’s Weipowa Beretta

SPANISH WATER DOG

P (2) 1 Searle’s Cravessa’s Bottoms Up pleasing head of correct proportions, short strong neck, well placed shoulders, ample bone with good feet, ample ribbing, coat of good texture and curl, moved out positively.BP 2 Abraham’s Cravessa’s Right On The Dot by Adormidera litter sister to winner, slightly longer in muzzle, ample neck, good length of body, in good coat. Moved well in profile but needs to tighten in front.

O (2) Searle’s Adormidera Apache Rose At Cravessa lovely head and expression, strong neck, well laid shoulders, well sprung ribs and correct topline, in full rustic coat of good texture, moved soundly covering the ground well. BOB Pleased to see her shortlisted for BIS 2 Abrahams Adormidera Ziggy Star Dust mature 6 yr old boy with correctly balanced head and kind expression. Well made all through, stands and moves true just preferred the brisk movement of the winner.
