I would like to thank the officers and committee of this well-run show for their kind invitation to judge. I was delighted with the super dogs that I had the pleasure of judging, all a real credit to you. A huge thank you to the exhibitors for the honour of your lovely dogs. A huge thank you to my 2 very efficient stewards, who also had a very long day, the show could not go on without you, so thank you.

Special Yearling (2,1)
1. Mr & Mrs Pilgrim - Nospar’s Drambuie
15 month old liver spotted dog, having a pleasing outline and showing good overall balance. He has a proportionate masculine head, good length of neck, with the brisket down to the elbow and holding a firm topline. Strong and muscular hindquarters, which show a good width to the thigh. Moved in profile showing good drive, a fraction close behind, a little proud of his tail. Liver spots have good distribution. Shown in firm muscular condition.

1. Mrs Stocks - Nospar’s Gin And Tonic
Liver spotted 15 month old bitch, and litter sister to winner of SY class. She has lovely body lines, with good substance and nicely rounded bone, but nothing is overdone. Feminine head, with good width to the back skull, moderate stop and toning eyes. Strong neck of good length flowing into a firm level topline. Lovely depth, fill- in of forechest and spring to the ribcage. Wide hindquarters, which she used to power around the ring. Just needing maturity to finish - RBOB.
2. Mr & Mrs Wallington - Dallyador Secret Passion For Rovinjdal JW
Lovely black spotted 4 year old bitch, shown in firm condition. A slightly lighter build than winner. She has a delightful head and expression so very feminine. Clean neck of good length, deep in the brisket, not quite the forechest of winner. Nicely angulated hindquarters, in firm muscle tone. Strode out on the move.

1. Mr, Mrs & Miss Collier - Kallierbelle Pink Sapphire
Loved the balance and outline of this 4 year old black spotted bitch. She has elegance yet enough substance and strength throughout. Feminine and well proportioned head, flat skull and good length to the foreface, dark intelligent eyes, so keen and alert. Slight arched neck of good length, well defined withers, deep in brisket, with a good spring to the ribs. Standing on well boned limbs and tight feet. Strong muscular hindquarters. Showed lovely reach and drive on the move.
2. Mrs Stocks - Pandamax Lady Martini To Nospar JW
Very shapely 5 year old black spotted bitch, she presents a pleasing outline when stood. Appealing head, nicely balanced, with a kind dark eye. Clean neck of good length flowing into a firm and level topline. Chest is down to the elbow, good round bone to the legs onto cat like feet. Nice bend of stifle, not quite the toning of winner. Moved out soundly, not quite the reach and drive today.

Nicely balanced 14 month old slate bitch, liked her overall size and shape when stood. She has an appealing head, with good proportions, good width to the back skull, and feminine strength to the foreface. Pleasing depth to the brisket and good spring to the ribcage. Holds a firm level topline on the move and standing. Moderate hindquarters. Held her outline in profile on the move, with a good tail carriage. Put down in lovely coat and condition.
2. Mr & Mrs Bevis - Beabeardies Xtra Special
16 month old slate bitch, her proportions are balanced and she as a nice outline, not always showing herself off as she was giving her handler a bit of a hard time! Her head is feminine, with a broad back skull and equal length of foreface. Kind dark eye. Her moderate neck flows into a firm topline and well set on tail. Good depth to the ribcage. Nice sweep of stifle. Not as accurate on the move as winner, a little out of coat

1. Mr & Mrs Bevis - Beabeardies Cinnamon Girl
Liked this 3 year old fawn bitch, she has lovely body ratios. She is of a typical outline with sound construction. Feminine head, with a broad flat skull, enough strength to the foreface, and her toning eye give a gentle expression. Holding a firm and level topline, correct spring to the ribs and ok for forechest. Nicely boned limbs. Her hindquarters show a nice bend of stifle, and low set hocks. Holds her outline with a good head and tail carriage when moving, which is smooth and light. Shown in full coat. Close up to winners
2. Mrs Lee-Finglas - Braemoors Quite The Catch For Richeath naf (imp ndl)
2 year old slate bitch, not quite the balance of winner when stood. Feminine head, with good proportions, with a melting expression. Good reach of neck, flowing into her well held topline. Good depth and forechest. Nicely angulated hindquarters. Not quite the finish to the coat or reach on the move of 1 today.

1. Mr & Mrs Salmon - Potterdale Heritage
Fell for this 3 year old slate dog, he just looked the finished article. So balanced and full of quality. Lovely masculine head balanced and in proportion, lovely dark eye giving an intelligent and alert expression. Firm through his topline, and nice straight forelegs with good bone. Lovely depth to the brisket and well filled in forechest. Strong well angulated hindquarters. He showed himself off with confidence and style. Sound on the move, whilst holding the correct outline. Beautifully presented and in full bloom. BOB – delighted to hear he won Group 4
2. Mr & Mrs Jones - Braemoray Loch Ranza At Clanwillow
Fully mature 8 year old slate dog. Lots to like about this dog. He is very proportionate when stacked and masculine all through. Good strength and length to his head, lovely dark expressive eyes. Good length of neck flowing into his firm topline. Lovely depth and forechest, with a good length to the ribcage. Playing the fool a little on the move, but once settled moving well, just tending to fly his tail a little higher - RBOB.

1. Brewster & Green - Stowthorney These Days
Just loved her, 11 month old grizzle bitch, she is the epitome of a smart and functional border terrier. She shows herself off with aplomb and typical attitude. Liked her overall size and balance. Lovely head piece, good width to the back skull, neat ears lying close to cheek, dark inquisitive eyes, and a strong short muzzle. Straight forelegs onto small neat feet, good depth to the brisket, but narrow all through so easily spannable, with a carrot tail. Pleasing hindquarters with a good width of thigh. Sound on the move and holding her outline in profile. Harsh jacket and thick pelt. I shall certainly watch her with interest – BOB & BP & Puppy Group 1 & BPIS
2. Mr Flowers - Bingobongo’s Jubilee
Another super 11 month old grizzle puppy with so much to admire, a bright future ahead of her. She has a typical profile, lovely balance and construction. So workmanlike, with her racy outline and super coat texture. Such a feminine head and expression, alert to all going on around her. Good width to skull, strong foreface with good strong teeth. Straight forelegs, brisket down to the elbow, ribs carried well back, easily able to span, racy hindquarters. Smooth and fluid on the move, looked like she could go all day.

Litter brother to winner of SY, a nice 11 month old grizzle dog, who hold a lovely outline when stood. He has many similar attributes as his sister. Lovely otter type head, dark inquisitive eyes, neat well set on ears. His neck flowing into a firm topline and well set on tail. He has the depth to the brisket, straight forelegs and small feet, easily spannable. Liked his hindquarters a good width of thigh. Not as clean in front action on the move today, but strides out with an air of confidence.
2. Mrs Vaughan - Holteal Halfpenny Worth
2 year old grizzle bitch, of a different stamp to winner, a little more compact, but keeping her racy outline. Loved her inquisitive nature, rather nosey!!! She has a pleasing outline and a nice flow to her. Typical otter head, good width, neat ears, and dark eyes. Good length of neck, brisket well let down, with the desired narrowness. A little shorter in the ribcage. She held a lovely firm topline, and has a good set on of tail. Racy but strong hindquarters, which she put to good use on the move, true in her action. Shown in good coat.

Smart 17 month old B/T dog, so balanced and unexaggerated, with a lovely flow to his outline. Built on racy lines. Good otter head, width to the skull, strong short muzzle, good bite, dark eye with a keen expression. Pleasing length of neck, clean and straight front. Right amount of depth to be able to span, good length to the ribcage with a firm level topline. Not quite the width of thigh of his kennel mate, but strong hindquarters. A lovely true mover in all directions. Shown in a harsh jacket – RBOB
2. Mrs Holmes - Ir Ch Barnby Caramel Wafer At Bimandi JW ShCM
Grizzle dog, 9 years of age, and looking in fine fettle, perhaps carrying a touch more condition today. A lovely shape in profile, liked his overall size, having super balance and proportions. Handsome masculine head, width to the back skull, short strong muzzle, and dark eyes. Neck flowing seamlessly into a firm, level topline to a well set on tail. Nicely boned limbs with small neat feet. Good width to his quarters, which he used to drive around the ring, not quite as tidy in his front action as winner. Shown with a good harsh jacket.

Red bitch coming up 2 years of age. She presents a smart and compact outline when stood. Keen and alert in her demeanour. Good length of neck flowing into a firm topline, lovely depth to the ribcage and spring to the ribs. Would like a little more angulation in the hindquarters. Just shy of his 1st birthday, this red dog has much to commend him. He has a strong and compact outline with a lovely flow to his topline. He has such a handsome head, Width to the back skull, neat erect ears, dark mischievous oval eyes, good stop and strength to the muzzle, would like a cleaner bite. So attentive to his handler. Well sprung ribcage, with the ribs carried well back with a short loin. Moderate hindquarters. Moving out with drive and enthusiasm. - BP

Beautifully presented and handled 2 year old red bitch. Liked her overall size and femininity. A shade longer in the body than winners. Pretty head piece, good width between the ears, lovely dark eye with a gentle and loving expression, good stop, would like a little more strength to the foreface. Her neck has strength and of good length. Lovely depth reaching down to the elbow, which are tight to the body. Ribs well sprung, moderate hindquarters. Moves out cleanly and with style, just losing her topline a little today.

Most appealing 18 month old B/T dog, he is sturdy and well put together. Liked his compact and strong outline, full of quality and breed type. Lovely head on this boy, he has such a cheeky expression, well proportioned, with a good width and slightly rounded skull, well placed erect ears, dark oval eyes, and strength to the foreface. Strong neck, firm topline, super ribcage and depth with a strong loin. Balanced angulation fore and aft. Well presented and moving out true in all directions. – BOB, delighted to hear he went Group 2

Strong and impressive black brindle dog who is coming up 2 years of age. He portrays the image of strength and masculinity. He is well balanced from all angles. Pleasing head, with good width and depth, neat rose ears, well developed cheeks, strong underjaw, and those piercing dark eyes. Clean neck flowing into well laid shoulders. He holds a firm and solid topline. Good width in front and stands on well boned legs. Muscular hindquarters. Seemed a little distracted on the move, lovely in profile, a little close behind today - RBOB

Appealing black brindle bitch also coming up 2 years of age. She has feminine strength and shows good balance with good body lines. There is no mistaking her gender, very feminine, but has the desired strength and in fit condition. She has a balanced feminine head, with a good width to the back skull, well defined stop and strength to her short muzzle. Strong neck, flowing into a firm level topline. Good width in front and enough depth. Well sprung ribcage, and a short strong loin. Muscular hindquarters and low set hocks. Moving out well with her handler

Plenty of bone and substance to this 3 year old black brindle bitch, but not overdone, just showing strength in a feminine package. Feminine head, with a broad back skull, neat rose ears, piercing dark eyes, strength to the foreface and correct bite. Good width and depth in front, holding a firm topline both stood and on the move. Her ribcage is well sprung and carried well back. Muscular hindquarters would like a little more bend of stifle. She strode out on the move, showing to be parallel behind, and carrying her tail well.

Oh so very smart, this 3 year old black brindle dog, looked an absolute picture on the stack. Solid, muscular and full of breed type. Masculine and handsome head, it is deep all through, with good width, well placed neat rose ears, and dark round eyes that dare me to look anywhere else! Lovely strong muscular neck, super depth to the brisket, with a well filled in forechest which shows good width. He stands on well boned limbs onto tight neat feet. The topline is level with the ribcage being well sprung and the ribs well back with a strong muscular loin. Hindquarters have a nice sweep of stifle and in hard muscular condition. Shown in gleaming coat and condition. Moving beautifully in all directions and at one with his handler - BOB

She has an appealing head, well balanced, with a good length to the foreface, nicely domed back skull, well placed ears, and nicely furnished. Strong neck, enough depth to the brisket, not holding quite as firm a topline. Moderate hindquarters. Showed her happy nature on the move, powerful drive from the rear.

Delightful 16 month old tricoloured dog. He has a shapely outline when stood and carries himself with a confident air. Masculine and handsome head, well balanced with the correct proportions. Lovely large dark oval eyes, with a hint of mischief. Neck of good length, chest is down to the elbow and nicely filled in in-front. Ribs nicely rounded and carried well back. Oh my, what a sweetie, this 6 month old o/w dog is. As you would expect he has a lot of growing and maturing to do. But he was thoroughly enjoying his time in the ring. He has the sweetest expression, his head is nicely balanced, with the correct proportions, large dark oval eyes. He has good depth and ribbing for his age, a little bum high at the moment, nicely boned limbs and well angulated hindquarters. A fun time was had on the move, with all the lovely smells on the ground! – BP

Very pretty 4 year old w/s bitch, liked her overall body proportions. Such a pretty head, nicely balanced, slight dome to the back skull, good stop, large dark oval eyes, nicely chiselled under the eyes, her well furnished head gives a cheeky and kind expression. Nice and straight in front, with a well developed forechest and depth to the brisket. Tending to lose her topline today, her loin is a fraction longer. Moderate in her rear angulation. Moving true and with lovely drive. Shown in good coat and texture.

Sturdy and well-built 20 month old Tan & White dog. He has lovely body lines and is not overdone in anyway. When stood he has an impressive compact outline, and is clean and sound all through. He has a lovely head, nicely balanced, with a slight dome to the back skull, good depth to the flews, gentle darks eyes, his low set nicely rounded ears frame his face. Good length of neck, firm and level topline flowing to a well set on tail. Body is well developed with a good spring to the ribcage. Strong round boned limbs on to tight feet. Very pretty 17 month old tricoloured bitch, who was showing herself off to advantage. Lovely head piece, nicely balanced, with slight dome to the skull, right amount of flews, well shaped dark eyes giving a kind expression. Good length of neck with a slight arch, firm level topline and well set on and carried tail. Nicely filled in in-front, brisket down to the elbow, would like a little more length to the upper arm. Ribs carried well back. Strong hindquarters. Moving out with drive and at one with her handler - RBOB

Masculine head, but preferred today the shape of the winner. Long and strong neck flowing into his sturdy and compact body. Stands on well boned limbs and tight feet. Good depth, super firm level topline, needing a little more length to upper arm, well developed body and moderate hindquarters. Moving, when he put his mind to it, true and driving.

More refined 3 year old Tan & White bitch, but who presents a balance profile when stood. Ultra feminine head, showing the correct proportions, with kind dark eye, giving a pleasing expression. She holds a firm and level topline, with a good spring to the ribcage. Limbs a little lighter in bone. Well angulated hindquarters with lovely tight feet. Holding her outline on the move in profile

Most impressive 10 month old bitch, who cuts a super outline when stood. She gives the impression of strength but retains her femininity. Lovely head, showing a flat skull, strength to the foreface, well placed wide ears, and lovely round well toning eye with dark pigmentation. Clean neck of good length, flowing into a firm topline, which shows a good ridge and crowns. Her chest is down to the elbow with a good spring to the ribcage. Strong wide quarters. Not as settled on the move in the class, but showed lovely drive – BOB & BP & Puppy Group 4

Just fell for this 9 month old, very attractive and classy brindle with white trim dog. Thought him just right for size and oozing breed type. His outline is so shapely, yet he is not exaggerated in any way, one-part flows seamlessly into the next. He has an elegant strength about him which is so appealing, still needing to finish as you would expect. Lovely head, long and lean, neat small rose ears, and dark oval eyes from which he has a keen and gentle expression. Long neck with the slight arch, flowing into his well held topline. Good depth to the brisket and nicely filled in in-front. Curvy underline, to his broad hindquarters. On the move, he is fluid and graceful, so very true fore and aft, with a lovely low daisy cutting action. BP & Puppy Group 1 & RBPIS – well done.

Lovely elegance to this 13 month old Brindle & White bitch. She has a curvy flow to her topline and underline giving a pleasing outline when stood. Nothing is overdone just clean smooth flowing lines and very smart. Lovely feminine head, clean back skull, well placed neat rose ears, good length all through with right amount of strength to muzzle, lovely dark oval eye. Her long neck is muscular, enough depth to the brisket, needs a shade more fill in of forechest. Nicely bladed limbs with a slight spring to the pasterns. Nice spring to the ribs and correct arch. Pleasing hindquarters, good width of thigh, and bend of stifle. Moving out with style, clean and true fore and aft - BOB

Another elegant 18 month old brindle and white bitch, with much to like. Her outline when stood is shapely. She has a lovely head, long and lean, neat ears, and dark inquisitive eyes. A lovely flow from nose to tail. Strong long neck, good depth to the brisket, nicely filled in forechest. At times flattening her topline, shapely and well tucked up underline. Good width of thigh to the hindquarters, a fraction longer in second thigh. A lovely clean mover

This 6 year old brindle and white dog still cuts a fine outline when stood. He is all male, who has strength yet retains the desired elegance. Masculine head, of good length, neat ears and dark gentle eyes. Long slightly arched neck, deep in brisket, and well filled in in-front. Good spring to the ribcage with a strong loin. Muscular hindquarters. He carries himself well, moving fluidly in profile with a low action, not quite the precision of the youngster today. RBOB

Fawn brindle and white dog coming up 4 years of age. He has a pleasing smooth and shapely outline. He has an appealing head, showing good length and the desired leanness. Good length of neck, flowing into his well held topline. Brisket is down to the elbow, not quite the fill in of winner. Nicely bladed bone, with a slight spring to the pasterns. Muscular hindquarters, moving out well, but not showing himself off as well as he could.

(Basset) Sturdy 8 month old red & white Basset dog. Liked his overall balance and proportions. He has the desired strength all through. Nice dome to the skull, low set ears of good length, dark eye with the typical calm expression. Strong neck of good length, flowing into a firm and broad back with a well set on and carried tail. He is deep in brisket with a well developed forechest, strongly boned limbs onto large well knuckled feet. (Ibizan) Rough coated, white & red Ibizan hound bitch, just had her first birthday. Liked the overall balance of this bitch, she is of a nice size, and shows the desired narrowness all through. Well shaped feminine head, long flat skull, with occipital bone prominent. Large well placed ears, which were well used. Nice almond shape to the eye and a clear amber colour. Lovely long lean neck showing the typical slight arch. She has a lovely firm level topline, with the croup falling away. Her ribcage shows the correct height above the elbow. Strong hindquarters with a long second thigh. She showed the correct slight hover in her footfall

(Basset) Very much liked this red & white dog, just coming up 2 years of age, he presents a lovely outline, and very much up there for top awards. He stands foursquare and has the desired strength but not overdone, having good ground clearance. Liked his masculine head, nicely balanced with right amount of dome to the skull, lean foreface, and deep in flew his long low set ears nicely framing his face. Strong neck of good length flowing into his firm topline and well set on tail. Deep in brisket and super development of forechest. Stands on well bone limbs. (Greyhound) Just loved this upstanding 6 year old blue brindle bitch, she is so full of quality. She has an impressive outline when stood and is symmetry in motion on the move. She just flows from nose to tail. Smooth curves grace her outline and shown in super condition. Her head is very feminine, with good length, flat in the skull, fine rose ears and eyes tone with coat colour. Clean long, elegant neck flowing seamlessly into her topline. Brisket is well let down with a good fill in of forechest. Forelegs are nicely boned with a slight spring to the pastern. (Basenji) Wow, another cracking bitch, so very smart and stylish. 3 year old R&W bitch who is so typical in outline when stood. Lovely balance, with a good length of leg, fine boned and so very graceful. Super head, she has a flat skull, showing good wrinkle, nicely hooded small ears, and dark almond eyes. Head well carried from her long neck with a good crest, flowing into her firm topline and high set tightly curled tail. Chest well let down with a good spring to the ribcage. (Ibizan) Stood alone, but a worthy winner, if a little exuberant at times. Liked her overall balance and shape giving elegance and refinement. She has a lovely fine long head, with the correct erect and mobile ears, and oval amber eye. Long elegant neck flowing into her firm topline, with a long flat ribcage and well tucked up. Well-muscled hindquarters. When settled moved well, with the typical slight hover.

(Basset Fauve De Bretagne) Delightful 16 month old bitch, loved her happy and outgoing nature. She is of a nice size and overall shape. Lovely head, so very feminine, with a nice arched back skull, good strength and length to the foreface, dark oval eyes and well set on ears. Muscular neck, pleasing depth to the brisket, tending to roach her topline at times, ribs well rounded, strong hindquarters. Moving out with style and drive.
2. Mr & Mrs Jones - Clanwillow Back To Th Future
(Basset) 16 month old tricoloured dog, was much more settled in this class, and showed himself of better. He presents an impressive outline, showing good strength and substance, with decent ground clearance. Nicely balance head, Strong muscular neck, flowing into a firm well held topline. Stands on well boned limbs. Strength through the long well rounded ribcage. Liked his hindquarters. Held his outline on the move, not quite as tidy today behind.

Broad and strong rear, showing parallel movement. Correct coat texture

Just wow, what a credit to her owner, she is looking in super condition for her age, and can out move the youngsters in the class! Feminine head, with a dark almond eye, yes there is grey, but this only adds to her appeal. Good length of neck, deep in brisket, firm level topline, strong nicely angulated hindquarters.
