Many thanks to the committee for the kind invitation to judge at this show and to all the exhibitors entered, I really enjoyed my day. Many thanks to my 2 lovely stewards as well who ran the ring like clockwork!
Weimaraner
Puppy (6,2)
Weipowa Double O’Seven (Hill). Excellent young prospect presenting a typical outline with breed-specific proportions. Loved his masculine head of correct proportions with moderate stop, open nostrils and an aristocratic expression. Good reach of neck into a well made forehand, plenty of depth and width through his body for age. Strong topline with symmetrical rear angles. Needs to relax on the move slightly in profile with very good front/hind action for a youngster. Most promising, pleased to award him RBOB & BPIB.
Rivertone Inevitable at Joneva (Evans & Pavey). Just 6 months and so very raw with time on her side. Loved her pretty head with lobular leathers. Not quite showing herself on the stack but demonstrated good overall balance for her age. Liked her straight limbs, neat feet and firm hocks. Firm topline with short loin. Needing to come together on the move but showed glimpses of an easy co-ordinated action. Can only get better with age.
Gunalt Beehave (Longbottom)
Junior (2,1)
Gunalt Polished at Wystry (Brown & Davies). Judged him earlier in the year as a youngster, pleased to see he has continued to body up. Excellent head with good leathers, moderate stop and correct eye shape. Balanced angulation both fore/aft and plenty of leg. Strong topline maintained on the stack and on the move. Would prefer a bit more verve on the move but is very sound from all directions.
Post Graduate (3,2)
Gunalt Polished at Wystry (Brown & Davies).
Open (5,2)
Sh Ch. Minstergate Carnival JW (Rodgers). Excellent bitch for overall type and proportions. Loved her clean shape and obvious balance of angulation. Ultra-feminine head with correct stop, eye colour and proportions. Reachy neck that flows seamlessly into her correctly made forehand. Straight limbs and neat feet. Excellent spring and depth of rib, short loin with wide thighs and firm hocks. Easy mover on the go-round maintaining her shape and absolutely sound going/coming. A very worthy titleholder, pleased to award her BOB today, congratulations!
Cavalmist Cosworth (Bennett). Excellent bone to this dog giving the immediate impression of strength and athleticism. Loved his head with correct shape of skull with width between the ears and large open nostrils. Well laid shoulders but would prefer more return of upper arm. Mature through his body with firm hocks. Very sound and accurate mover from all directions.
Ansona Sprinter (Bennett & Slimak).
Labrador Retriever
Puppy (6,2)
Berlan Get Up And Go at Sandylands (Casey & Jayes). Felt this yellow dog to possess outstanding breed type. Immediately impresses for his strong bone, thick tail and overall proportions. Excellent strength of head with a kind expression. Very good neck into shoulders with long upper arm. Plenty of depth and spring of rib for age, just needing to firm up in his topline which I am sure will come with age. Strongly made rear with wide thighs, correct bend of stifle and firm hocks. In excellent coat/condition. Once settled, he demonstrated an excellent ground covering action on the move using his tail well. Would love to see him as the finished article. BPIB, congratulations!
Potterzuri Mister Mufasa (Young). Another good quality yellow, slightly longer cast than 1. Very appealing head with excellent pigment and dark eyes. Strong neck that leads into a well made forehand. Strong topline with deep brisket and firm underline. Corresponding rear angles. Would prefer a slightly thicker tail. Sound and steady on the move in all directions maintaining his shape. Preferred proportions of 1.
Tomative Annabelle (Lapper)
Special Yearling (7,0)
Darrabol Amphitrite with Allenie (AI) (Ganney, Allen & Hess). Loved the overall make & shape of this yellow bitch. Prettiest of heads with dark eyes and correctly set ears. Strong neck that flows into well laid shoulders with good return of upper arm. She stands on strongly boned limbs with tight feet. Enough spring of rib for age with time to develop further. Good length of leg with strong topline and underline. Excellent tail set and thickness of tail. Wide over her pelvis with well bent stifles, wide thighs and firm hocks. Holds your eye on the move demonstrating such a fluid and rhythmic action and absolutely sound going/coming. Still think the best is yet to come but I loved her. BOB, congratulations!
Bellamar Love Me Do (Glaister, Bordacs & Bordacs). Judged this black as a puppy and pleased to see her again with a bit more maturity on her back. Really typy, her overall shape and balance was of great appeal. Kindest of expressions with strength through her skull and muzzle. Strong neck that flows into an excellent shoulder but would prefer a slightly longer upper arm. Good length of leg with a strong topline. Correctly set tail that was thick and well wrapped. Strong rear quarters with wide thighs and short hocks. Steady mover once settled, maintaining her shape and using her tail. In good condition overall.
Potterzuri Mister Mufasa (Young).
Post Graduate (9,2)
Winsleywood Waghorn at Ravoakar JW (Bambrook). A very typical and honest yellow dog who impressed me for his overall proportions and shape. Felt his head was so typical being correctly proportioned without coarseness, darkest of eyes and kindest of expressions. Good reach of neck into a well made forehand. Very good spring of rib and length of leg. Firm topline and correctly set tail. Well off for rear angulation with firm hocks at all times. Steady, co-ordinated and true from all angles on the move holding his shape.
Bellamar Love Me Do (Glaister, Bordacs & Bordacs).

Potterspiney Apollo Daydream (Young). A very strongly made, eye catching yellow dog. Excellent width of skull and muzzle without coarseness, correct angulation both fore/aft. Excellent maturity through his body with a firm topline and a thick, correctly set tail. Firm on his elbows and hocks both standing and in motion. Very fluid, easy mover. Just needs more confidence.
Overmarsh Seventh Hour (Manning). A larger, well boned yellow bitch. Pretty head with dark eyes. Excellent straight limbs with the tightest of feet. In good coat/condition overall. An honest bitch all round who goes on an easy stride from all directions.
Open (1,0)
Allenies Tampa Bay D’Orta for Darrabol (Ganney). High quality yellow presenting a typical shape in profile. Prettiest of heads with strong muzzle and dark eyes. Excellent balance of angulation both fore/aft with a strong topline. Not in her best coat today but absolutely superb on the move, being so easy with correct reach and drive while using her tail. Had to settled for RBOB behind her daughter today.
Border Collie
Puppy (5,1)
Arrodare Wild Card (Lee & Ratcliffe). Blue/white bitch presenting a good overall shape. Correctly shaped, pretty head when viewed from the side with correct pigment. Good reach of neck with very good forehand, excellent body for her age with a firm topline and balanced rear angulation. Holds a very typical shape on the go-round with good front/rear action. RBOB & BPIB, congratulations.
Gorgeous Gia Borders Kingdom via Borderbrook (Imp MNE) (Kempton). This black/white was full of appeal. Slightly longer cast than 1 with more bone. Loved her head and expression with an excellent front. Enough body for age with a firm topline. Excellent width throughout but preferred the stifle of 1. Very good mover from all angles holding a breed-typical carriage on the go-round.

Arrodare Rebel With A Cause JW (Lee & Ratcliffe). Top size bitch but so very balanced and shapely! Loved her overall type and proportions. Typical head and expression with dark eyes. Excellent forehand and rear assembly with maturity through her body and level topline. Excellent bone & feet. Demonstrated a ground covering action with a lowered head carriage, looked as if she could go all day. Very pleased to award her BOB, congratulations!
Borderbrook Winter Sunset JW (Kempton). A smaller bitch than 1 but really liked her type and shape. Very athletic in appearance with the prettiest of heads. Liked her flow of neck into shoulder but didn’t quite have the upper arm of 1. Well bodied with a strongly made rear. Uses herself well on the move with a breed-typical carriage.
