What a lovely well run show, with a real 'old fashioned' feel to it. Well done to the organisers for such a great day with excellent stewards and superb judge's hospitality.

Japanese Shiba Inu

My first time judging this breed and found them fascinating – will definitely be finding out more about this quirky, cheeky little breed.

P (4, 1) 1. Bryans' Marilouvale Eddie Murphy. Just three weeks short of his first birthday this red boy has that 'look at me' attitude, with a gorgeous masculine head and expression from his flat skull, well filled cheeks and dark almond shaped eyes, with well placed and used ears. Good size and well balanced all through, with a level topline, good front and enough rear angulation. In excellent coat and moving with a smart brisk gait and could not be denied BOB and BP. 2. Bryans' Takeshi Du Bois De Compiegne at Marilouvale NAF TAF. Eight month old dog with an attractive dark sesame coat, narrower in head and longer cast than (1), dark eyes, level topline, decent angulation and moved ok once he settled. 3 Behan's Tiblha Fidget Aria Liarna.

Y (1) 1. Roskell's Phixons Straumann. Thirteen month old red male, with neat ears and dark eyes, good front into a balanced body with a level topline, good angulation front and rear and his young handler got the best out of him on the move.

L (5, 1) 1. Adey's Burwen Pink Cadillac at Echezeaux. Twenty-two month old red bitch with a lovely head and expression, good front and level topline. Bit too much rear angulation but she moved very well. RBOB. 2. Bryans' Marilouvale Black Raven. Two year old black and tan dog, with a strong skull and muzzle, bit rangy at present and longer cast than (1), good front and level topline , moved well. 3. Bryans' Infinity Challenge Honey Bun at Marilouvale RAF.

O (3, 1) 1. Bryans' Shiomaru Raion at Marilouvale (IMP RUS). Four year old red dog, masculine head, good width of skull, rather strong in muzzle, dark eyes, tends to stand a bit wide in front, level topline and enough angulation. Moving very well. 2. Behan's Tiblha Im A Conkarah. Four year old black and tan male, lovely head and expression and a good front, well balanced with good proportions throughout, not in his best jacket today, not putting it all in so couldn't match (1) for movement.

Alaskan Malamute

P (3, 1) 1. Perfitt's Samjoe Seelie Queen. Nine month old bitch with a strong but feminine head, with a well pronounced mask. Well grown, with good bone, good body proportions and a level topline, in lovely coat and condition and moving well. BP. 2. Perfitt's Samjoe Shadowhunter. Litter brother to (1) and not as forward at this stage, narrower in head and a bit rangier all through, good bone but a little upright in shoulder, topline could be firmer, good rear angulation, couldn't match his sister for movement.

L (2, 1) Perfitt's Samjoe From Russia With Love JW. Two year old bitch with a broad head, good overall outline, well off for bone, decent angulation both ends, not in full coat but what she had was of good texture. Moved well. RBOB.

O (2) 1. Vasarhelyi's Okinastar I'm The Man. Three year old male, masculine with good head proportions and overall balanced throughout. Well off for bone and has good angulation both ends, moved with drive. BOB. 2. Horsman & Horsman-Phoenix's Snow Legend Zenith Of Fame Nordicwinds JW (IMP RUS). Two year old male, head could be stronger, overall balanced but rather rangy at present, and needs to fill his frame, but time is on his side, hocks need to tighten.

Siberian Husky

P (2, 1) 1. Johnson's Atlanticbreeze Bailey by Lupinemoon (AI) (IKC). Almost a year old this lad is a lovely type with a well proportioned masculine head and well placed ears, lovely brown eyes and a well arched neck leading to an excellent level topline. In super coat and condition and moving out very well. BP and PG 4..

Y (4, 3) 1. Ferretti's Arcticskies Super Trouper for Lyrvid JW. This twenty month old bitch is another of nice type, with a femine head with lovely expression. Good front assembly into a level topline, which she holds on the move, decent rear angulation and shows good reach and drive on the move. BOB and G4.

L (6, 3) 1. Penman's Sutarka's Calla of Agaelta JW. Two year old bitch with a nice head and expression although muzzle tends to rise. She has a nice overall outline, with good front and rear angulation, moved with reach and drive. RBOB. 2. Ferretti's Arcticskies Whisky Sour for Lyrvid. Three year old bitch, pretty head, good topline, decent angulation and moved well. 3. Johnson's Kentwone Shooter at Lupinemoon.

O (6, 6)

Rottweilers

Y (1, 1)

L (2) 1. Colton, Tune & Bonser's Graylea Moonbeam. Lovely two year old bitch with a strong but feminine head, good front with plenty of bone, excellent body proportions and a good topline which she held on the move. Decent angulation both ends and moved out well. BOB. 2. Featherstone's Kentwen Sweet Diamond. Two year old bitch, narrower in head than (1), rather heavy in front, good bone and decent topline although rather longer cast in body, movement tends to be erratic so difficult to assess.

O (1) 1. Kentwen Sweet Diamond. Second in (L) and more settled in this class, so movement was easier to assess. She has good reach and drive when she puts her mind to the job. RBOB.

Dogue de Bordeaux

P (2, 1) 1. Moran's Aibrean Killer Queen. Ten month old bitch, well grown with a strong but feminine head, good front, neck well set on, decent topline, enough angulation front and rear giving good reach and drive on the move. BP

Y (5, 2) Moran's Aibrean All That I Know. Twenty-one month old bitch, Super head and expression, good front with plenty of bone, level topline, enough hind angulation and moved well. BOB. 2. Hargreave's Roliondogue Athena. Thirtteen month old bitch, attractive head, smaller stamp than (1), tends to stand wide in front, topline ok, rather straight in stifle and couldn't match (1) for movement. 3. Bailey's Kenzduo Glad All Over with Nesaluma.

L (2, 1) 1. Hargreave's Roliondogue Hercules. Fourteen month old male, strong head and neck into a good topline, well off for bone, good front and rear angulation, moved well. Just needs time to fill his frame and mature.

O (2, 1) 1. Moran's Aibrean Kenzo. Twenty-one month old male with a fabulous masculine head and expression. He has a good front with excellent bone, stands on good feet, topline tends to rise over the loin and he is a tad straight in stifle. Moved well. RBOB.

Newfoundland

P (2) 1. Harper's Valhalabears Juicy Couture. Eight month old bitch with a nice head and expression. Balanced outline with good bone and decent topline, coat starting to come in nicely, showed good movement but could benefit from being moved faster. BP. Morgan's Darkcove Another Brick In The Wall. Almost seven month old male, rather narrow in head, well grown, good bone, topline ok, enough angulation, coat a bit on the soft side. Moved ok once he settled.

Y (2, 1) 1. McIntyre, Yates & Hall's Shirebears Mystify with Edbear. Thirteen month old brown male, broad head, would prefer a darker eye, ok for bone, tends to stand close in front, good topline and overall body proportions, decent angulation, coat not at its best, moving ok.

L (5) 1. Ryan's Newfangled Juniper Berry at Elleandre. Three year old bitch, strong but feminine head, balanced outline and stands over good ground, good topline and moves well. 2. Turner's Newfangled Roodimental. Strong masculine head on this two year old male, rather heavy in front, good topline, a tad long cast in back, decent rear angulation, moved well. 3. Hunter & Bone's Newfangled Know Your Worth.

O (5, 1) 1. Crosier's Nurburgnewf Cayman. Five year old black male, super head and expression, well balanced throughout and carrying a lovely coat. Good bone and substance, moved very well. BOB and Group 1. 2. Ryan's Newfangled Shenanigans. Almost seven year old male, lovely type, well boned, just stands a tad wide in front, in lovely coat and condition, couldn't quite match the movement of (1) and had to give way to the younger dog here. RBOB. 3. McIntyre's Shirebears Enchanter for Edbear.

Great Dane

P (1) 1. Bartley's Nikami Papa Smurf Atelib. Ten month old striking brindle male, upstanding, super head with good depth, excellent front, well balanced throughout, good topline and moved very well. BOB, BP and PG 1.

Y (2, 2)

O (1) 1. Ferguson's Elitedaimos Magick Mago at Chateaudain. Two year old blue male, lovely head and good front, rather immature all through and would like a bit more of him all over, topline ok, good angulation, tends to crab a bit on the move. RBOB.

Bullmastiff

P (1, 1)

L (2, 1) 1. Garratt's Marchmanor Played A Blinder. Two year old brindle male, broad head with dark expressive eyes, well boned, decent front and good body proportions, rather straight in stifle and a bit sluggish on the move. RBOB.

O (3, 1) 1. Beal's Emsuart Rocketman. Two year old fawn male, fabulous head and expression, broad skull, strong neck into level topline, good bone, enough angulation, moved well. BOB. 2. Garratt's Priambulls Dreams Of Magic with Marchmanor. Four year old female, strong but feminine head, stands a bit wide in front, good topline and well angulated, moved ok.

AVNSC Working

P (2) Thompson-Morgan & Morgan's Belleville Salva Vidas (Portuguese Water Dog). Nine month old black male, masculine head, darkest of eyes, well balanced throughout with good muscle, excellent angulation and moved with an easy gait. Well presented with a super coat. BP and PG 3. 2. Jones' Abbiville Royal Invincible. Nine month old Bouvier bitch, well balanced head, strong neck, compact body, enough angulation, good reach and drive.

Y (1, 1)

O (4) 1. Aavuuta Qimmiq Akiak (IMP CAN) BEJCH IRJCH. Striking nineteen month old male Canadian Eskimo Dog, masculine head with super expression, good neck into decent shoulders, level topline, well balanced in body and well muscled, excellent tail set and carriage, moves out with a powerful side gait. BAVNSC. 2. Smith's Oakholme Imperial Wizard (Portuguese Water Dog). Four year old black male, well balanced in head with good body proportions, decent topline, moved out well. RBAVNSC. 3. Thompson-Morgan & Morgan's Ch Belleville Anjo De Noite.

AV Working

P (6, 3) 1. Kent, Kent & Sutton's Korifey Recless (Dobermann). Eight month old male, lovely head good reach of neck, strong front, enough bone, good topline and tailset. Excellent rear angulation and moved very well. 2. Samjoe Shadowhunter. 3. Darkcove Another Brick In The Wall.

V (3, 1) 1. Thompson-Morgan & Morgan's Ch Belleville Anjo De Noite (Portuguese Water Dog). Eleven year old brown bitch with a super head and expression, well balanced throughout with a level topline, well muscled and moved very well. 2. Allen-Davern's Siberiadrift Adrian's Star of Zimavolk (Siberian Husky). Seven year old bitch with a pretty head, lovely outline and balanced throughout, good angulation and moving well.
