My thanks to the committee for their kind invitation to judge at this show and to exhibitors for their entries and receiving my decisions with good sportsmanship. Thank you too, to both my stewards for their organisation. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day.

Golden Retriever

Puppy 5.3

1. Williams & Pritchard: Sonham Your Kinda Love For Trebettyn. This was a young dog, yet to mature but lots to like about him. No coarseness. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders The kindest of heads, nicely chiselled and a soft, melting and masculine expression. Correct front and rear angulation. Stood foursquare and moved well. BP

2. Hoban: Dolly Enchanted Lyric. Balanced overall with a sweet, kind head and expression. Correct skull and length of foreface. Fore legs well placed and close-fitting elbows. Deep, well sprung ribs and level topline. First time out and very nervous. Experience will help here as she matures.

Junior 2.0

1. Jeremiah: Lampcien Snowrisk Well balanced overall. Kind head and expression of correct shape – cleanly chiselled. Good moderate reach of neck on well laid and correct shoulders. Well sprung ribs, strong loin and level top line. Good angulation and in very good coat. Moved well. RBOB.

2. Hoban: Dolly Enchanted Lyric

1. Williams: Pantegparish Best Mate. Compact and balanced. Well-developed skull. Correct eyes, dark rimmed. Intelligent and purposeful expression. Correct ear set. Strong, muscular neck on good shoulders. Clean. Level top line. Well-developed chest. Good angulation and well-muscled. Firm, round and well-padded feet. Moved with well – through action covering the ground well BOB

2. Froud: Mafleurdean Witches Moon. Well balanced overall. Kind head and expression of correct shape. Good moderate reach of neck on well laid and sloping shoulders. Well sprung ribs, short loin and level top line. Good angulation and in very good coat. Moved well.

Puppy 2.0

1. Davies: Ermyn Rainbow’s Gift. Sweet 11-month baby. Correct and lovely head proportions, ample reach of neck on good shoulders. Fore legs short and straight. Well sprung ribs. Level top line held well on the move. Ample bone with tight feet, good angulation fore and aft, moved well. BP

2. Hailstone: Tremendous Theodora. Another nice youngster – younger than 1, Correct head with ample length of neck on good shoulders. Level top line. Good bone throughout with tight feet. Moved well.

Junior 2.0

1. Wyer: Cottivy Chiquitita Bitch with a sweet head. Correct dentition, lovely eye and correct ear placement. Ample reach of neck on well laid shoulders. Plenty of bone and good angulation front and back. Tight feet. Was a pleasing site to watch her move around the ring with such confidence.

2. Hailstone: Tremendous Theodora

Post Graduate 4.2

1. Wyer: Cottivy Fernando. Masculine with head of correct proportions. Not overdone. Strong neck on good shoulders to level top line held well on the move. Well boned with tight feet. Good angulation front and rear. Moved well and confidently around the ring and expertly handled. RBOB

2. Hutchings: Marvelguard Flower Fairy For Tycon. Finer in outline than 1 but with a sweet, feminine head, good eye and well-placed ears. Ample length of neck on well laid shoulders. Good angulation and well boned. Good, tight feet and moved well.

1. Davies: Andvol Z-Sieger At Ermyn (IMP Rus) This boy took my eye when he came into the ring. Very pleasing head, alert and active expression, good eye and correct ear placement. Strong neck on good shoulders leading to a level top line. Well boned with tight feet, good angulation front and back, moved so well, covering the ground with purpose and with a driving movement. Stunning example of the breed BOB: PAST GRP 1

2. Wyer: Cottivy Strawberry Moon. Such a feminine bitch with correct dentition eyes and ears. Good reach of neck on well laid shoulders. Level top line held well on move. Well boned with tight feet. Good angulation and moved well.

3. Jones: Ceranda Surf’s Up

1. Jones & Charles: Charlons Perseus In top condition, smart and well balanced. Excellent coat and at one with his handler. Broad skull, no exaggeration, dark mask, good ear set and carriage. Good angulation front and rear. Level back, deep chest and belly nicely tucked. Tight feet, well arched. Quick and driving movement. BOB

2. Hill: Xandene Blue Bayou. Alert and well presented. Soundly proportioned head, correct eyes, ample length neck leading to well laid shoulders and good topline. Moved well and was a serious contender in the challenge. Preferred the movement of 1.

Post Graduate 2.1

1. Smith: Snowshoes Who Dares Wins Although standing alone caught my eye immediately and did not disappoint at any stage of the competition. Powerful, symmetrical, balanced and in complete proportion. Correct head, not coarse. Alert expression and made good use of his triangular ears. Correct skull, clean cheeks merging smoothly into the muzzle. Deep chest. And what a mover ,- covered the ground with minimum effort, BOB GP1

1. Smith: CH Snowshoes The White Witch. Compact, short-coupled and in truly firm condition. Keen, alert expression – correct skull to muzzle proportions and ears nicely erect. Full of energy and demanded notice. Clean, arched neck and nicely sloping shoulders. Kept her well-balanced structure on the move, which was effortless and just covered every inch of space. I was spoilt for choice with both exhibits in this breed, I just preferred the PG

1. Popp & Myers: Optimus Thomas Morse Of Penychen Striking, upstanding and powerful. Balanced throughout. Masculine and well-proportioned large and square head. Correct front, chest wide and deep - forelegs powerful and straight from elbow to ground. Good bone and tight feet. Well- developed hindquarters, wide loins and hocks moderately bent. Shown in superb condition. Moved well and with drive and purpose. BOB GP2

1. Wood: Nenora’s Killer Queen. Head correctly proportioned, strong and balanced with well-defined stop. Correct eye, large and almond shaped. Correct, medium ears set high. Medium muscular neck, well-placed shoulders. Good parallel front, well boned. Correct moderate angulation front and rear well-muscled, Moved out positively, reaching out well in front. BOB BP PG3

2. Marshall: Mountain Crystal Scarlett At Bernannan (Imp Hun) Beautifully balanced, nice head and eye, good bone and round compact feet. Good reach of neck and well laid muscular and deep shoulders. Firm and correct straight back and bushy tail set raised nicely on the move.

1. Vann: Fontanarossa Risk It All For Isdantay Brindle. Stood proud, elegant and well proportioned. Correct head, broad muzzle. Good reach of neck. Strong front. Muscular well sloped back shoulders. Lovely topline held when on the move. Strong muscular hindquarters, moved with drive and strength. BOB

1. Tyler: Jojavik Bombs Away At Asteri Alert and well presented .Good, soundly proportioned head, correct eyes, long neck leading to well laid shoulders and correct sloping topline. Moved well, good reach in forequarters and was a serious contender in the final group challenge. BOB

Correct ear set . Strong, muscular neck on good shoulders. Clean throat. Level top line. Well-developed chest. Good angulation front and rear and well-muscled hindquarters. Hard padded feet. Moved well – through action covering the ground well BOB

2. Sweet: Europe Teren Bossrot (Imp UKR) Well balanced overall. Kind head and expression of correct shape –deep muzzle. Good moderate reach of neck on well laid and sloping shoulders. Well sprung ribs, short loin and level top line. Good angulation and in very good coat. Moved well.

1. Stimpson: Cwnhapus King In The North For Adellarz Masculine head, nicely moulded and chiselled with soft expression, good reach of neck eading into well laid shoulders. Deep chest not too broad. Well ribbed, flattened on sides. Good bone and nice round and tight feet. Moderate stifles, hocks well let down. Moved soundly, freely and true.

2. Caudy: Arctictreks Goldilocks At Snodragon presented a most pleasing outline. Lovely head and expression, strong neck leading to well laid shoulders. Good depth of chest, level topline and good fox brush tailset. Moved well.

1. Stimpson: Cwnhapus Takhini With Adellarz . Strong arched neck carried high leading to well-laid slightly sloping shoulders. Medium almond eyes full of intelligence and alertness. Ears triangular and erect. Good and correctly moderate angulation front and rear. Strong mover in the class too, compact feet close and with plenty of positive drive with good reach BOB

2. Morris: Cwnhapus Innoke JW In proportion, well balanced, and presented a picture of leanness strength and activity. Strong neck carried high leading to well-laid slightly sloping shoulders. Correct eyes full of intelligence and alertness. Good angles front and rear. Moved well.

1. Dallow :Alex-Sidney Vom Wilden Suden NAF. Bouvier Des Flandres. Stood proud and alert. I just loved his head and appealing expression. Clean cut, good oval eye and triangular ear set, good reach of muscled neck and plenty of bone. Good depth of chest. Well-bodied and good straight front and moderate rear angulation. Moved well, powerful free and easy drive and with purpose BAVNSCP PG1

1. Hulford: Lunalah Mr Happy – Portuguese Water Dog. Smart and well balanced. Excellent coat and at one with his handler. Large, well-proportioned skull, correct ear set and carriage. Good angulation – straight front and strongly muscled rear. Short back, deep and wide chest and belly nicely tucked. Round flat feet, well knuckled. Again, a quick and driving movement. BOB GP3

2. Skilling: Dacfolke Delilah’s Dream. Leonberger. Nicely built dog , standing four square, straight and proud in profile. Correct eye and ear-set. Correct top-line. Well placed shoulders, and strong, dignified and flowing rear angulation used to drive himself around the ring.

1. Jones & Charles: Charlons Viva La Diva . Boxer. Presented in super condition. quality head with keen and alert expression, good reach of well-muscled neck, correct length of athletic body. Long deep brisket, balanced front and back. Moved well.

2. Hill: Lobeaubox Blousie Brown. Boxer. Standing four square, straight and proud in profile. Correct eye and ear-set. Correct top-line. Well placed shoulders, and strong, flowing rear angulation used to drive around the ring. Preferred the overall outline of 1.

3. Caudy: Arctictreks Goldilocks At Snodragon. Sib Husky

Veteran 6.1

1. Rees: CH Winter Melody Hot On The Top At Amical. Sib Husky. At 12 years old, beautifully balanced, nice, chiselled head and correct eye, good bone and round compact feet. Good reach of arched neck and well laid muscular and deep shoulders. Firm and correct top-line and tail set. Oval and thickly cushioned feet. Moved well.

2. Smith: CH Snowshoes King’s Legacy ShCM SHCEX. Al Malamute of 8 years. Keen, alert expression – correct skull to muzzle proportions and ears nicely erect. Full of energy and demanded notice. Clean, short neck and nicely sloping shoulders. Kept his well-balanced structure on the move.
