Many thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge at their lovely, welcoming show and to the exhibitors who entered and brought me some beautiful hounds to judge. I had a really lovely day.
Veteran Dog – 1 entry
1. Winters’ Garamond Cloudberry For Tokando – Lovely black male of almost 10 years, in excellent condition. Lovely masculine head, good reach of neck leading into well angulated shoulders. Level topline and good spring of rib with short loin. Good length from hip to hock, moved well with a springy action.
Minor Puppy Dog – 2 entries
1. Lockett-Davies’ Rhyzmakh Sun O’Summer – 6 month old cream baby who is very raw as is expected of a puppy this age but so much promise. Super front construction, good head with strong jaws, long neck. Well angulated rear. When he settled on the move, he has a scopey side action with a light springy gait. Needs to develop in body but very promising.
2. Heritage’s Jazzmeenah Rohan Blaze – 8 month black masked gold who was more together on the move than 1. Loved his head, lengthy neck, well laid shoulders but could use more upper arm. Well angulated rear. Moved true coming and going, would just like to see him open up a bit more in side gait.
Puppy dog – 2 entries
1. Moore’s Merrick Prince Charming Cloudside (IMP FIN) – Cream 11 months, well developed for age with a strong masculine head with lovely dark eyes, lengthy neck leading into well laid shoulders, good return of upper arm lying close against well sprung ribs. Good length from hip to hock. Moved parallel both coming and going with plenty of reach and drive in profile. Coat developing nicely for age. Will be a very impressive dog when he is fully mature. Pleased to award him Reserve Best Male and later on Best Puppy In Show.
2. Lockett-Davies’ Rhyzmakh Sun O’Summer
Junior Dog – 2 entries
1. Gorman & Latimer’s Shahfoldi Sphinx Riddle at Zharook – Have judged this lovely Black and Tan boy before as a puppy and he is maturing into a beautiful dog who I will watch with interest as he matures further. Lovely head with really good eye shape and strong jaws. Long neck leading into well angulated shoulders and good length of upper arm. Good ribbing and short loin. Plenty of length from hip to hock. Moves so well when he settles showing smooth and springy action with plenty of reach and drive. Excellent coat developing well for age. Delighted to award him Best Male and Best Opposite Sex in Show.
2. Roper & Moore’s Sitana The Kingsman at Temenshu – Black Masked Gold of 14 months, close up to 1 and another lovely boy. Well angulated shoulders and good return of upper arm. Good spring and depth of ribbing. Well developed body. Preferred the rear of 1st but still well angulated with good length of hip to hock. Moved well with scopey side movement.
