 I HAD A VERY ENJOYABLE DAY JUDGING THE NEWFOUNDLAND CLUB, A VERY WELL RUN EVENT AT THE KC BUILDING WITH A SUPER RING TO SEE THE DOGS MOVE. I WAS PLEASED WITH THE QUALITY, ESPECIALLY IN THE HIGHER MALE CLASSES WHERE THERE WAS SOME TOP QUALITY EXHIBITS. MY BIS WAS A SUPER TYPEY MALE AND MY BPIS IS A VERY PROMISING YOUNGSTER WHO PUT ON A LOVELY PERFORMANCE AND I'M SURE WILL GO ON TO BIGGER AND BETTER WINS IN HIS CAREER. IT WAS NICE TO JUDGE COLOUR CLASSES WITH SOME GOOD BROWNS AND LANDSEERS THAT HAVE POTENTIAL TO WIN CC IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

1)very smart eye catching puppy, super shape and balance, good skull, small almond shaped dark eye, lovely straight forelegs, neat elebows , large feet, clean outline, ribs extend well back, low hocks. Ex reach and drive and for a puppy he has super foot placement, quality typey puppy with a bright future ahead off him. BPIS

2)LEECH- NANDOBEARS YABBA DO AT MILEOAK

masculine head, strong bone, like 1 is also well proportioned , has good fill in front, well ribbed, angular rear. Holds topline on move, prefer more strength in rear, deep chest, ex long tail.

3) MAYHE SANDBEARS FIFTY FIVE

very raw youngster, clean cut square muzzle, slight curve to skull with furrow, little finer boned than 1, ok ribs, higher in hock. Has a good side gait to him, needs time to develop

very nice typey landseer dog, good proportions, masculine head with square muzzle, good lips, eyes could be a fraction smaller, strong bone, well ribbed with good chest and firm topline, still a lot to do to full develop, Tail of good length, free steady mover, very collected for age nice condition and will only improve

FARRAR- DARKPEAK STARLIGHT EXPRESS,heavier set than 1, moderate rounded skull, square broad muzzle, good bone. Deep chest,exc large feet, level topline , low hocks, prefer him shorter in back. 

DRAKEFORD- MISSISSIPI MISSOURI WALKING MY ANGEL, outgoing junior, ideally like him shorter in body, good lips, well set ears, small dark eye, needs longer rib cage, compact feet. Good tail set. Prefer more bone for frame

mixed class of sizes and shapes, brown dog with nice proportions to him, balanced typey head, square muzzle, small eye set well on head, good straight forelegs with neat elbows, exc feet, thick neck, ribs well back. Prefer better tail carriage , free steady mover. 

2)STEELS- NURBURGNEWF ORONMAN

tall upstanding male, masc head, free from wrinkle on muzzle, exc feet, strong bone, prefer more width in front. Holds his shape on move, good tail, up to size

3)DRAKEFORD-SASQUATCH ZERO TO HERO

 head of equal proportions, ears neat and well set, prefer better shoulders, ok feet, needs too firm up in topline, low set hocks, tail could be carried better, preferred proportions on 1

quality landseer dog, super balance and proportions exc bone and substance to him,masculine head, broad slightly rounded skull, square muzzle with tight lips, round neck, ok feet, deep chest with good ribs, low hocks, hold his topline, easy steady mover with nice foot fall, nice type and with only improve with maturity.

2)MERCER- LAKHARBOUR FALCON,

I really liked this dogs shape and balance with super proportions, lovely head and exp. exc bone, moderate angles front and back, tail very short and slightly rises in topline on move but lots to like.

3)CHAPMAN-VODAHOND PRINCE CHARLING

Masculine male, firm and strong all through , ok muzzle, prefer smaller ears , a little 10-2 front, Low set hocks. Firm topline ribs and chest developed , just a little sluggish on the move

liked his proportions and balance, square muzzle, Broad skull, small almond dark eye, good feet, clean outline. Dense flat coat, Holds his shape at all times. Sound free mover, good back, nice type

stronger built male all through over , large head, good muzzle and lips, exc feet, strong neck, deep chest with long ribs, longer cast than 1 prefer stronger hocks, prefer more animation on move 

3) THOMPSON- COMFORTLOVE YOU CAN FLY TO SAFEHARBOUR

lower stationed dog and a little finer in bone than above, pleasing head, dark eyes, good feet, low set hocks, eye catching in profile on move with drive in rear, ideally like him taller on leg.

real quality typey dog, super shape with ex proportions, he has strength and substance without coarseness . Super head, broad skull, eye and muzzle, lovely expression, has depth in chest, tight elbows, exc feet, ribs extend well back, level topline, has width in rear quarters but ideally like stronger hocks on move, really easy mover in profile with correct front placement. 2)BLAHUTA- IRON MAN CANADIAN PEARL

Another nicely proportioned dog, good front and feet, square muzzle, well set neat ears. Strong neck, slight dip in topline on move, has width in rear quarters, free powerful profile mover. Lots to like on him too

SAYLE- CH BARANOVA TOP GALLANT, a very nice honest unexaggerated solid dog, loved his shape and proportions, masculine but not overdone in head, short square muzzle, good straight forelegs, neat elbows, deep chest prefer darker eye, great profile mover, nice type. Holds shape on move with an easy action covering the ground. I felt he was a very nice example of the breed and happy to award him BIS and BVIS today. In great condition for a veteran.

BLAKE- CH SANDBEARS MASTERPIECE, another well constructed dog all through, smaller frame than 1 but well put together with a lovely clean neck and backline, Square clean cut muzzle, neat ears set well back, has good feet and bone,exc with ribs extending well back, muscled loin holding a firm topline. Low set hocks. Super profile movement with good foot placement. Lots to appreciate, just a slightly different type to 1, shown in tip top condition

3)HUNT- ZENTAUR JAM MASTER

yearling dog, full of energy and enthusiasm, equal head proportions, tight lips, neat ears, strong bone, prefer him to be a shade shorter cast, ribs extend well back, a little close in rear and tail carried too high which spoils his shape. In lovely condition

7mth, very nice shape and balance, still needs to develop in skull.has good depth for age to her muzzle, neat ears, oval dark eye, stands over good ground with front well under body, liked her easy flowing profile movement.

typey balanced youngster, very well made front assembly, feminine head,square muzzle with slightly rounded skull, almond dark eye giving a nice expression,strong bone, good feet, needs to drop in her rear, tail of good length, low set hocks. Very easy mover, im sure will continue to develop well.

2)CLIFFEN/LUST- OUKAYA FOREVER THANKS YOUR LUCKY STARS

stronger built bitch all through than 1, deep square muzzle, prefer smaller eye, strong neck, deep chest and good ribbing, feet could be larger. Firm topline, liked her rear, once she gets going she has a nice action to her but she is a little stubborn for her handler.

very smart balanced bitch, equal head proportions , really nice front, has fill and width in chest, large feet with strong bone, well proportioned, clean outline to her, firm topline, low set hocks, super condition, correct dense dull dark coat.

2)FARRAR- DRAKEPARK STARLIGHT EXPRESS,Another nicely balanced bitch, good skull, eye could be smaller. Square muzzle with tight lips. Good bone, needs to develop in chest, firm topline, strong rear quarters, liked her on the profile with free purposeful movement , just preferred width in front in winner 

3)ROFFE- ASHLYN BEAUTIFUL GREAT DANE AT MAYOSEA

Leggy, youngster, strong bone, large padded feet, muzzle could be a little shorter, moderate angles front and back. Needs to strengthen in hock, outgoing temperament, needs time to develop all through

liked her proportions with good leg and body, deep muzzle , small almond dark eye, exc bone and feet, would prefer longer ribs and strength in loin as she is a little loose in topline,, low set hocks, tendency to carry tail a bit high on the move.

smaller framed bitch but still has good proportions. Feminine detailed head, ok ears. Tight feet, deep chest, Low set hocks. Moderate angles, prefer more animation on the move.

nice class to assess, winner is very balanced with good proportions to her for a bitch, balanced head/skull, ears set back and neat, moderate chest, straight forelegs, good feet, strong neck, good ribs, exc topline with muscled loin, tail of good length, she is a little loose in front but i really liked her easy reaching side gait, nice type, correct coat texture and shown in super condition.BB

2)PALLET- YULLA FOR SHEENMARIE VON BAYWATCH

very smart brown substantial bitch, taller stationed than 1 but still balanced, really nice head and exp, strong neck, has width in her rear quarters. Ribs extend well back, low hocks, still needs to full develop and im sure will keep improving, nice type and pushed winner hard. RBB

3) FARRAR- DISORANTO MOONLIGHT SHADWO AT DARKPEAK

like above is a well made bitch front and back, has strength in muzzle along with being clean cut and square , slightly rounded skull, large feet,good bone, deep chest, strong rear which she uses well on the move, a little out of coat, just ideally like more leg length to her.

nicely proportioned bitch of good size, she has equal head proportions with tight lips, ears could be smaller. Straight forelegs , good feet.clean neck with a firm topline. Strong rear, low set hocks. Tail could be lower on the move. Sound moderate mover from all angles

clean unexaggerated outline on this quality bitch, almond eye well set, neat ears, muzzle could be a fraction shorter but is clean cut, strong neck, straight forelegs with good feet, ribs extend well back, a little out of coat atm,liked her rear quarters, has length to her tail, has lovely foot fall to her but being a tad lethargic on the move compared to 1, 2 nice bitches.

strong bitch, has depth to her muzzle, good bone, a little flat in feet. Her angles are balanced and moderate. Would prefer firmer topline, low set hocks, tail of good length

3)LEECH- STARBEARS MAKE IT HAPPEN

strong bitch all through,a little narrow in skull, prominent occiput, prefer more length of leg, deep chest with strong bone, needs straighter forelegs, developed ribs, wide rear quarters with low set hocks, not totally settled on move. Full dense coat, gave her handler a difficult challenge at times.
