Thank you to the committee for me to judge at this Bank Holiday open show, and to the exhibitors for bringing their wonderful whippets. I was pleased to see my BOB win HG2 in a quality hound group. PUPPY 3 (1) Two very promising puppies at different stages of development. 1st Arkell, Mrs Y M Hijacked of Suriya 8 ½ month scopey brindle and white boy. Very collected for his age and nicely made all through. Long, elegant reach of neck fits smoothly into a clean shoulder placement with good return of upper arm. Fair depth of chest with curvy underline and well ribbed back. Good width to rear with well-bent stifles and low set hocks. Composed on the move, a promising puppy. 2nd Higginbottom, Miss E Ranveli Royal Duke of Dawnsafon 8 month old pale fawn boy, balanced in outline and nicely grown. Well-proportioned head with oval eyes and dark pigmentation. Balanced angulation front and rear. Good depth of brisket and infill for age, with broad back and gentle curving over the loin. Presented in good, fine coat and condition. Pleasing side gait, just a little loose in front at the moment. Should have a bright future. POST GRADUATE 2 1st Wayman, Miss H Ranveli Beach Boy at Scarletfair Eye catching 2 ½ years old brindle and white parti dog who stood naturally over a lot of ground. Classic masculine head, with strength to under-jaw and neat, rosed ears. Strong neck fits smoothly into a good front assembly, back well-ribbed and broad, muscular loin. Powerful, well-angulated rear with width to second thigh and strong parallel hocks, which he used to drive around the ring. 2nd Arkell, Mrs Y M Chikara Iz Doma Proninykh 18 ½ month curvy brindle boy. Long and lean handsome head with bright, oval eyes and well carried rosed ears. Graceful arch to neck, with well laid shoulders and correct return of upper arm. Good length to back and rear well-muscled. Shown in super coat and condition. Lovely profile movement, just a tad wide in front. OPEN 6 (1) 1st Wayman, Miss H Collooney Charlie Brown at Scarletfair Upstanding, 2 years old pale fawn boy, smooth and flowing in outline, a series of curves without any exaggeration. Masculine head of good planes, with a super expression and strong dentition. Lovely, elegantly arched neck that flows into a well made front, forelegs straight with strong sloping pasterns and well-knuckled feet. Good depth of chest, with an excellent top line and underline that creates a curvy outline. Excelled on the move with an effortless long, free, daisy cutting action. BOB & HG2. 2nd Blake, Miss E J Silkridge In A Moment at Mazargo nearly 3 years old quality blue brindle bitch, presented in super condition and muscle tone. Smooth in outline and beautifully balanced. The prettiest head of correct proportions, lovely length of neck going into well-constructed shoulders, with a good depth of brisket and well-sprung ribs. Curvy top and underline, with correct slope to croup and good tail set. True movement coming, with a ground covering stride and precise footfall. ELAINE BOGART (Incitatus)
