Tay Valley Gundog Association

Thank you to the Committee for inviting me to judge and to my lovely steward for keeping the ring running smoothly. Thank you to all my exhibitors turning out on the day for me to run my hands over your dogs. I thoroughly enjoyed my day and was pleased to see 3 of my Best of Breeds making it to Best in Show, Group 3 and Group 4.

Weimaraner

Graduate (3,0)

1 Tierney´s Gunalt Elderflower at Greyfurs JW, fantastic bitch oozing type and presence to me. Lovely feminine expression with strong jaws and correct bite. Superb reach of neck flowing into strong shoulders. Well set tail, deep chest, short coupled, well muscled hindquarters. On the move she presented level topline and powering around the ring with ease. In super coat and condition. BOB. Pleased to see her going Best in show.

2 Cairn’s Lamarg Silver Showtoff, lovely bitch, well balanced, feminine head with nice expression and correct earset, clean neck flowing into a solid topline, well set tail, correct spring of rib, lovely bone and feet, moved with good reach in front, super coat and condition.

3 Henderson’s Sabsky Brno at Nikostratus.

1 Duffy’s Almoor Lady Gaga, pleasing head with correct dentition, lovely reach of neck and good depth to her chest. Well set tail, correct spring of rib and well turned stifles. Moved effortlessly round the ring keeping her topline level.

2 Bannerman’s Selhendo Special Edition, correct head, straight front, well ribbed with sloping topline. Nice condition and coat. Moved well.

Hungarian Vizsla

Junior (2,1)

1 Murray & Parker’s True Magic of Skyrocket at Szelkiraly (NAF) (TAF), lovely youngster with a good future ahead. Lovely head and expression with correct leanness and tapering of the muzzle. Good bone, touch taller than longer, well laid shoulders and good set of ribs, deep chest, well let down hocks.

Post Graduate (6,4)

1 McDonald’s Donurie’s Russian Roulette (AI), super little bitch with lovely face and expression, correct eyes, well laid shoulders, level topline with short coupling. Very happy going round with good tail carriage and firm feet. Moved well with drive.

2 McBeath’s Wallaroo Beyond the Horizon at Redhunt, good looking young man, nice substance, good reach of neck and shoulders, correct topline. Presented in lovely coat.

Open (4,1)

1 Murray & Parker’s Menta of Skyrocket at Szelkiraly (Imp Hun), Fantastically put together mature bitch with feminine head, correct dentition and lovely soulful eyes. Strong neck leading into well placed shoulders. Deep chested with level topline, presented in fantastic coat, well muscled with moderate angulation to hindquarters. Elegant mover covering the ground with ease. BOB and later Group 3.

2 Clubb & Mason’s Oroshaza Ireka JW, another well made bitch, feminine head with appealing expression. Strong neck and level topline, presented in lovely condition. Preferred the movement of the winner on the day.

3 McDonald’s Pawprint Geller at Donurie (Imp Hun).

1 Tierney’s Ceilloch the Show Must Go On, handsome boy with a lovely character, well presented and handled today. Balanced head with lovely dark eyes. Good shoulders, deep chest, strong straight front and short backed. Presented in lovely condition and moved with purpose covering ground well and effortlessly. BOB

1 Chrystie’s Bareve Best Done Now, young male exuding power and presence from the moment he stepped into the ring. Correct head, alert eyes with skull and muzzle of correct proportions. Strong jaw with complete scissor bite. Clean neck, well muscled shoulders with elbows close and sloping pasterns. Deep chest with well sprung ribs. Broad hips with well muscled thighs propelling him with purpose round the ring. Fabulous thick and harsh coat, oozing lovely temperament and happiness when on the move. BOB and later Group 4

Italian Spinone

1 Burrow’s Quebaikei Russian Blizzard (AI), mature bitch of a lovely type and majestic on the move. Super head, correct bite, feminine sweet face with most amazing brows. Strong neck, well laid shoulders, straight front, deep chest, gently sloping topline. Feet well padded, tail carried correctly. Coat dense and coarse. BOB

1 Logie & Braidwood’s Albadhu Final Encounter, feminine head with intelligent expression, lovely to see a nice dark eye. Strong muzzle, correct dentition. Shoulders well muscled, straight front, slightly longer in body. Good spring of ribs, nice tuck up and lovely sloping topline. Presented in fantastic coat and handled effortlessly round the ring. BOB
