Thank you to the committee for the invitation to judge at this show. I was very disappointed in a couple of exhibitors, before judging they were trying to flaunt their dogs and make it obvious that they will be showing under me. Trying to make conversation to acknowledge you are there is very much foul play. It didn’t go unnoticed and next time I won’t be so forgiving.
The entry on the day was good considering the weather, a lot of people travelled far and wide which I am truly humble. Thank you to each exhibitor who took the time to enter under me.
AFFENPINSCHER
Puppy –
Gills – FLORINDALE LETTY LARKIN
8-month-old pretty little bitch. Correct head and very proportioned for one so young. Slightly tight on shoulders but this should develop as she matures. Correct coat texture layered on a well-balanced body. Loved her movement, reached out with confidence. I’m sure she has a very bright future ahead of her.
Mitchard’s – WIZABEANIE BANANA SPLIT
Shy on the table, found her a little difficult to go over. However, what I did mange to feel and see I liked very much! Beautiful domed forehead, correct length of muzzle. Sound prominent chin. Loved her eye size. Once on the move she really showed her true colours, side gate was perfect, coming and going with pure elegance. Would have loved to give her BOB but table confidence needs building back up.
Mitchard’s – WIZABEANIE ONE BANANA
Another slightly shy on the table, beautiful masculine head. Good mouth and correct ears. Enough neck on to a well-muscled body. Another that was very balanced in body. Correct coat texture. Slightly tight in front on the move (we were on sand) moved with style. Another good example of the breed. RBOB
Mitchard’s – WIZABEANIE KUIIL
Most sound dog of the day! Easy to go over on the table. Correct head, Broad brow with a domed forehead. Good eye placements with a correct mouth. Correct neck in balance with his body. Good tail set. Moved out correctly with no hesitation, nothing fazed him. Couldn’t really fault him to be honest. BOB (A very clever breeder)
Gill’s – FLORINDALE WILLIAM WAFFEL
In notes, I have said very similar attributes to 1st Slightly finer in bone, preferred 1st tail set and 1st was flashier on the move.
HAVANESE
SPECIAL YEARLING
Beagent – ADORELE WHAT A RUMPUS
Pretty and equally balanced head. Better mouth out of the two. Beautiful big eye giving that adoring gentle expression. Good length of neck in ratio to body. Well boned. Sound movement especially his front. Coat needs some love. RBOB
Brooks – THISTLESWEET A TREYU (IMP HUN)
Mouth lost him the class today. Immaculately presented. Slightly unsettled on the ground but on a more solid surface he may be different. Very similar attributes to 1 Really nice little dog.

OPEN
Matthew’s – CHAMWIK OBSIDIAN GEM
Wow - immaculately presented, owned the ring the moment he walked in. Correct ratio head for the breed. Eye set was spot on, a head you could admire. Correct scissor bite. Conformation for the breed was a dream to go over. Good depth of chest, well bodied, liked him a lot! BOB
MALTESE
Loved all these dogs, they can certainly show what breed standard is. However, mouths are not the best. Please look closely at mouths before spending years of time and effort into a dog you will always wonder why it didn’t win……
PUPPY
Jenning’s BENATONE MISTLETOE
I couldn’t really fault her. Delightful 8-month-old puppy. Round head with a good defined stop, broad muzzle for one so young. Well pigmented throughout. Good length of neck, well lay of shoulder, level top line with a good spring of rib. Moved out with sassiness. I can see her doing well. RBOB
POST GRADUATE
Jenning’s STORMCLOUD DESTINY AT CHURCHCHIS
Nice little girl enjoying her time in the limelight.
Slight white of eye. Can see her doing well in veteran. Immaculate coat and out moved all the dogs today. If she was Veteran, I could have easily given her a second look for RBOB
OPEN
Oliver’s SARASUMA PENNY LANE
Another good example of a breed.
Picturesque head with the darkest of pigment. Good size eye to balance out her beautiful face. Good neck with a level top line. Sound front and rear. Moved enough on the ground to win her BOB. Immaculately presented. BOB
PAPILLON
SPECIAL YEARLING
Mason’s – FINITY RUN THE GAUNTLET
Close call for 1st place between these two
Both had beautiful heads, good eye sets. Correct ratio of muzzle. Both had good defined stops, good length of neck, both had beautiful outlines on stance. Beautiful display of plumage. 2nd had a better front but 1 out moved to give him 1st place. Could easily swap on another day and on better ground. BOB
Marsden’s – FINITY TRULY UNIQUE
As stated above RBOB
POMERANIAN
I found it very interesting to go over this breed today. The dogs with sound construction and movement didn’t have the best of coats but, the dogs with the amazing coats lacked in certain parts of their construction. You would like to think, putting the two together you would get the best of both.
PUPPY
Holman’s – ALTINA’S VIVA LAS VAGAS
Adorable little puppy. Foxy face just as the breed describes, good sound skull with an adorable muzzle. Beautiful eye set to finish of the cheeky look of the Pomeranian. Good neck in ratio to body, well placed shoulders. Beautiful plumage with correct texture. Slightly tight in front on the move with this should change as the chest develops. BPIB
SPECIAL YEARLING
Ellen’s KLASSNAMAGIC TOUCH
Liked the dog a lot and was very close to taking BOB.
The correct fox-like head, slight longer in muzzle than some of the other dogs today but balanced very well in proportion to his head. Correct scissor bite, construction was one of the better of the day. Good depth of chest with a good, barrelled appearance. immaculately presented. Beautiful tail set. slightly tight coming and going but this could have been the ground. Very nice specimen of the breed. RBOB
Holman’s - ALTINA HENRY HIGGINS JW
Very similar to the class winner, slightly shorter muzzle, another slightly close on front, not the depth of chest of 1 but can see him challenging 1st for the top spot. Another I liked very much.
Boswell’s – TINYPOMS EDITH
POST GRADUATE
Hill’s SHARHAZLAH KAMIKAZI DEVIL
Overall better balanced than 2. Really good front on movement, sound on profile. Would prefer better coat condition. Won on soundness.
Ellen’s KLASSNA MAN OF MYSTERY
Shy on table, immaculately presented. better mouth than 1. Lovely breed foxy type head, good ear set, good balance of body. If more confident on table and sounder on the move, he would have taken the class.
Boswell’s - TINYPOMS EDITH
OPEN
Holma’s – CH ALTINAS HENRY HIGGINS JW
My notes say WOW! WOW! WOW! The outline on this dog was superb. On stance he was exactly what I would expect a Pomeranian to look like. Immaculately presented. Not the foxy face I would look for. However, his petite nose and good broad head. Good ear set, correct eye shape and size given the more teddy bear look. Body was sound throughout, correct shoulder placement, short in back. Beautiful tail set. slightly tight in coming forth but correct behind. May have been sounder on a more solid ground. Side gate was beautiful, and he certainly knew how to own a ring. The RBOB was very much on his heals of taking the top spot. BOB
Hill’s – SHARHAZLAH LUVS A DARE DEVIL
Shame to meet 1st today. Like him jut as must as 1st. very similar attributes. lacked the overall finesse. Another day and I could see him taking challenging for the top spot.
Killick’s – LOVE OF MY LIFE AT TRAVILLON
