I would like to thank the society for kindly inviting me to judge and to all exhibitors for their entries, a special thanks to the wonderful stewards that looked after me so well.

Dandie Dinmont Terrier

Post Graduate (2,2)

Open (4,3)

1st Miss L Sleight’s Ch Danchester’s Can You Hear Me Roar For Bonnybeck (Imp Fin) 3 year old mustard bitch. Stood alone but a super example of the breed. Domed forehead with silky top, well set ears, strong teeth with scissor bite. Well laid back shoulder, well sprung rib cage. A great example of the slight curve down from the shoulders and the arch over the loins. Hocks well let down, well set tail. Excellent double coat well presented. Not the best of rings to display movement of a short legged dog. Moved well, showing the best along the bottom of the ring. BOB

Manchester Terrier

Puppy (1)

1st Mallinson, Mr A & Mrs AJ Holtaire Rasmus 11 month old dog. A very nice puppy with great promise. Lovely wedge shaped head, strong teeth and bite, masculine expression with a cheeky eye. Ears still flying but small and v shaped with correct placement. Stood well, straight front with lovely angulation front and rear, well set tail. Rather erratic when moving, improved when sent away again with guidance to the handler. BPIB watched him in the puppy group where he moved very well and thrilled that he was awarded Puppy Group 3.

Junior (1)

1st Sharpe Mrs V & Miss L Rosettia Keepsake 18 month old bitch. Lovely girl, wedge shaped head with feminine expression and kind eye, very nice ear set. Handling Classes

I was called in at the last minute to judge the handling classes due to the scheduled judge’s absence.

JHA Junior Handling

6 – 11 years (11, 4)

1st Eliza Darwesh handling a Labrador. Not the easiest of dogs to handle today. Eliza did an excellent job of calmly controlling her large dog without affecting her shadowing and maintaining excellent straight lines. Very pleased to also award her Best Junior Handler

2nd Erin Holgate handling a whippet. Teeth shown correctly and maintained good straight lines, well done.

12 – 16 years (3,2)

1st Layla Bolsover handling an 11 month old Husky. Very gentle handling of a young dog, well done.

Adult Handling

17 years and above (12, 5) a very strong class where the top placings could easily be switched.

1st Paige Spencer handling an Australian Shepherd. Impressive beautiful handling, blending into the background allowing the dog to take centre stage, particularly on the move. Correct shadowing and straight lines.

2nd Ellen Higginbottom handling a Whippet. Excellent shadowing with straight lines on the move. Always paying attention to where I was positioned.
