Afghan Hound Puppy (5): two lovely littermates heading this class

1. Lancashire and O’Donnell’s Drishaun Baby’s In Black, black/tan, I went overboard for this beautiful puppy, so well developed and presents a most impressive outline at first glance, lovely head and eye shape, punishing jaws, well made in front, well made in body, correct croup, super hindquarters, has such natural ring presence and bearing about him and is so sound on the move with correct smooth, springy gait and definitely a look of high order, shown in super condition, a real pleasure to judge, BP and PG1;

2. Lancashire and O’Donnell’s Drishaun Baby Of Mine, red dog, littermate and so very similar in many ways, lovely head with lean skull of good length, correct shaped eyes, well made in front, has a look of quality and is houndy all through, a close call but just preferred the natural and more composed carriage of 1;

3. Shepherd’s Amaserwah A King Of Magic With Casachared

Afghan Hound Special Yearling (6):

1. Moore’s Merrick Prince Charming Cloudside (Imp Fin), cream dog of 20 months, what a lovely young Afghan whose head and expression are superb, dark triangular eyes, shown in super coat and condition, superb muscle all through, well made in front and powerful in hindquarters with a body with good depth of chest and correct spring of rib, comes into his own on the move where he has a real look of high order, correct proud head and tail carriage, so sound out and back and lovely in profile where his correct smooth, springy gait is a joy to watch, will follow his future with interest, a pleasure to judge and to award HG1, delighted to hear he went on to BIS under Julien Barney;

2. Lancashire and O’Donnell’s Drishaun Don’t Call Me Baby, another from this most super litter, really lovely puppy, beautiful head and eye, lovely construction all through, super body and feet, well angulated fore and aft, lovely character and moved well in all directions with breed typical gait, will have many good days I am sure;

3. Lancashire and O’Donnell’s Drishaun What Baby Wants

Whippet Puppy (1):

1. Morland’s Zoraden Master Baker, just over 6 months, this young male has confidence in spades and really enjoyed his day out, was a joy to see, pleasing head and eye, correct bone, deep chest, good hindquarters with well bent stifles, pleasing feet, moved soundly, BP and RBOB;

Whippet Post Graduate (1):

1. Wayman’s Ranveli Beach Boy at Scarletfair, brindle and white parti, attractive boy with pleasing overall outline, pleasing neck, moderate front assembly, shown in lovely condition, shown in lovely condition, moved OK;

Whippet Open (2):

1. Shepherd’s Kidaruka It’s Showtime at Oxana, this dog has masculinity without a hint of coarseness, shown in superb condition and muscletone which was appreciated, pleasing head and eye, good depth of brisket and underline, good legs and feet, moved soundly but maybe could have had more scope in front in profile, deserved BOB;

2. Wayman’s Collooney Charlie Brown at Scarletfair, pale fawn of quality and shown in lovely condition, pleased in head, neck and front assembly, pleasing depth of brisket, correct over the loin and tuckup, good hindquarters, sound mover, unfortunately seemed rather unsettled, his most sympathetic handler did a sterling job but he just didn’t seem to be enjoying himself, disappointing.

AVNSC Hound Puppy (1):

1. Hicks’ Nuthouse Going For Gold, Rhodesian Ridgeback bitch of just 6 months, pleasing head, bone and feet, well bodied, a little erratic on the move but really enjoyed herself at her first show, Reserve Best AVNSC;

AVNSC Hound Special Yearling (2):

1. Dawson’s Priorpark Problem Solved, Rhodesian Ridgeback who is all male, pleasing head and bone, good through body and hindquarters, strong and well muscled, moved soundly, Best AVNSC;

2. Hicks’ Nuthouse Mastermind, Rhodesian Ridgeback of just 6 months, littermate to winner of last class, well boned with good feet, well bodied, just preferred overall picture of litter sister at this stage;

AVNSC Hound Post Graduate (2):

1. P Problem Solved

2. Dawson’s Hydebeck Heart of Gold at Graefyn, irish Wolfhound of imposing size, pleasing head and such a kindness to his expression and outlook, shown in good condition with good body and rib, would prefer better front and hindquarters and more bone;
