Critique for Flatcoated Retrievers and German Shorthaired Pointers.

Flatcoated Retriever Puppy Dog (2):

1. Anderson’s Almanza Late Breaking News, 11 months quality puppy built on just the right lines and so very well balanced, most pleasing head, correct bone and feet, good front, correct rib, topline and tailset, very well made behind, never stood wrong and moved soundly, carrying himself so well in profile, so accomplished that it was hard to believe that it was his first show, one whose future I will watch with interest, BPIB and pleased to hear he progressed to RBPIS;

2. Harris’ Dymexe Outlander at Siancala, a real baby of 6 months who enjoyed his day, well bodied with pleasing topline and well angulated hindquarters, needs to tighten in front;

Flatcoated Retriever Graduate Dog (1):

1. Ross’ Islstrom All Black, masculine dog shown in good condition, good in body properties, free, sound mover and a super temperament, would prefer better feet;

Flatcoated Retriever Limit Dog (1):

1. Anderson’s Kazval Behind The Mask of Feldkirk, of pleasing size and overall type, nothing overdone, very good legs and feet, correct body, pleasing head and eye colour, a great showman;

Flatcoated Retriever Open Dog (2):

1. Stevenson’s Sh Ch Plainfire’s The Captain Of My Heart is Steelriver, lovely male in his prime, presents a picture of correct balance and type, pleasing head with long, strong jaws, correct eye, well made through front, very good bone, front and feet, well ribbed with short loin, very good hindquarters with well let down hock, free flowing in side profile on the move where he maintains his lovely outline with good topline and tailset, true fore and aft, a great showman, never stood wrong, pushed by the lovely bitch but just edged ahead to BOB;

2. McConnell’s Kazval Lugano at Torrrweaving, shown in good condition, good hindquarters and went well behind on the move, showing drive, not the shoulder or front movement of 1;

Flatcoated Retriever Graduate Bitch (1):

1. Stevenson’s Caci’s Magic In Every Moment at Steelriver, junior bitch who was bereft of coat but of very pleasing type, balance, outline and soundly made all through, pleasing head, well made front, correct body, topline and hindquarters, sound true mover who flows and is free in profile;

Flatcoated Retriever Limit Bitch (2):

1. Kazval Angel In Your Sky over Feldkirk, 2 ½ years quality bitch with many virtues, correct overall outline and balance, full of breed type and of just the right proportions, pleasing head and eye, correct bone, good feet, well ribbed body, strong hindquarters, shown in super condition, sound and true on the move where she maintains her outline, should title with ordinary luck, pleasure to judge, BB;

2. Stevenson’s Blacktoft Caress of Steelriver, feminine bitch with super side profile on the move, very feminine, not the hind action of 1;

Flatcoated Retriever Open Bitch: no entries

German Shorthaired Pointers

Puppy Dog (1):

1. Bowman’s Sharrale Maxymillion, nearly 9 months, this well balanced, pleasing type, well reared puppy looks pleasing on the stack, pleasing head shape, correct coat, just needs to gain confidence to fulfil potential;

Open Dog (1):

1. Mann’s Sh Ch Elfrindew Endrick To Valger, rising 4 years, this masculine, very handsome and most typical specimen is a very worthy title holder, presents a most typical outline on the stack, liked his head, bone, super through body, rib and hindquarters, has the correct balance with short back and correct coat, moves freely in profile, covering the ground well and really drives from behind, BD and BOB;

Puppy Bitch (1):

1. Tait’s Benboee Beeloved, 11 months, well grown youngster with pleasing bone, good feet and well bodied, moves soundly;

Graduate Bitch (3):

1. Read’s Keigame Signe, this bitch appealed for overall type, size and balance, pleasing head and eye, good through neck and shoulders, correct body proportions, well ribbed, well angulated behind and drove from the quarter, covering pleasing ground in profile, maintaining her outline;

2. Tait’s Benboee Beelieve, litter sister to 1 in PB and just pipped her for BP today, very similar in all respects, just preferred her head to sister;

3. Hjert and Thompson’s Cornibus Mulberry

Limit Bitch (3):

1. Cox’s Cushatlaw Athena, looked well in outline on first perusal of the class, but appeared a bit sluggish on the go-around, pleasing type and shape overall, feminine head, moves soundly, scored in front assembly over 2;

2. Drew’s Archerpoint Native Dancer, really uses herself in profile on the go-around and presented a pleasing outline overall but less positive behind than 1;

3. Thompson and Hjert’s Withamfriary Sacramento

Open Bitch (2):

1. Drew’s Sh Ch Cushatlaw Illustrious, 9 ½ years beauty who has retained all of the qualities that took her to her well-deserved title in her youth, still a lovely shape, full of breed type with just the right outline and balance for the breed, most pleasing head, very well made in front through neck and shoulders and still moves so well coming towards, flows in outline and her good body leads to well angulated hindquarters, everything fits together so well, carries herself so well in profile, deserved BB and pleased to see that she went on to RBVIS, a credit to her owner;

2. Cox’s Cushatlaw Serendipity, another pleasing bitch, so feminine but with good body and rib, so well muscled and it showed on the move, beaten by a class act;
