CRITIQUE FOR GOLDEN RETRIEVERS

I would like to thank the committee for their kind invitation to judge at this show and to my stewards for their help in keeping the ring running smoothly.

Junior: 6 (Abs 2)

1. Green – Fenpinque Pumpkin Charm. Light gold 6 month old puppy bitch who was full of beans when she entered the ring and on the move. When her handler managed to coax her to stand still, I found a very balanced puppy with a lovely feminine head and excellent pigmentation, giving a beautiful expression. She has plenty of bone together with a level topline and well sprung ribs. Sturdy front with correct length of shoulder together with close fitting elbows. Correct front and rear angulation which she used to advantage when moving around the ring after she had settled down. Best Puppy

2. Black - Bencoe Just In Time Del Avrain – Very well presented pale puppy of 13 months. This handsome boy has a masculine head with kind expression. A good reach of neck. Straight front and has plenty of heart room. Good angulation front and rear. A little longer in the body than the winner, but he moved with ease around the ring.

1. Moss – Molbram Venosa At Carianjo - Light gold bitch, well balanced with attractive head and kind expression. Short coupled with well sprung deep ribs and close fitting elbows. Correct front and rear angulation which she used to advantage when moving around the ring. RBOB

1. Pounds-Longhurst – Mosburn Galloping Major JW - Rich golden mature dog who presented a very balanced picture. Well off for bone. Masculine head with very kind expression. Straight front. Short coupled with a good depth of body. Good angulation front and rear. Moved confidently around the ring to win BOB and Group 4 in the Gundog Group.

2. Black - Bencoe Just In Time Del Avrain

COCKER SPANIEL

Junior: 6 (Abs 2)

1. Clarke – Harbethol Look Magical Tyme – 9 month old blue roan puppy in peak condition. Kind head with gentle expression. Correctly placed ears. Good length of neck leading into sloping shoulders. Compact body. Well boned with straight front legs and tight round well padded feet. Well made hindquarters which showed how soundly he moved around the ring in typical cocker style. BOB and BP

2. Griffin – Griffial Make It Count – 12 month old dark blue roan puppy. Pleasing outline when stood. She has a lovely feminine head of good proportions with dark eye and gentle expression. Ears correctly placed with good length of neck. Compact body with correct angulation in both front and rear which showed when she moved confidently around the ring.

1. Bavin & Austin – Rojoys Chase The Dream J ShCM – Mature feminie dark blue roan bitch. Another one with a lovely head and sweet expression. Body well proportioned with good angulation front and back. She has a level topline which gently slopes down to correct tail set. Moved happily around the ring. RBOB
