Many thanks to the Officers & Committee of the Vale of Glamorgan AS for their invitation to judge Pugs at their Open Show, and to the stewards who helped all run smoothly. PUG J (1) 1 Linnett`s Paradiz Ronado kiss Kiss Bang Bang for Conquell. Stood alone in her class. A 15-month-old fawn bitch with a pleasing head. She has dark contrasting pigment, dark eyes and nice open nares. Good reach of neck, a well-rounded rib cage and excellent fore chest. Ample bone with legs well under, single curl high set tail, good turn of stifle. Slightly out of coat today but moved well fore and aft.Pg (4,1a) 1 Linnett`s Conquell dark to Diamond, a beautiful 21-month-old bitch, with a single black coat. Caught my eye as soon as she came in the ring. She has a round head with button ears, moderate nose roll, open nares and wide underjaw. Lovely dark round eyes which give her a very pretty soft expression. She has a good reach of neck, straight front, good lay back of shoulder and good fore-chest. Ample bone, short coupled with a level top line. A high set single twist tail, Stood fore square, with legs well under. A nice balanced bitch with good angulations which showed in her very good movement. BOB. 2 Mant`s Felice`s Summer Song, a mature 2-year-old bitch, with a lovely soft light jacket. An extremely pretty face, a round head, dark round eyes, well defined wrinkles, dark contrasting pigment, button ears, open nares, wide underjaw. Cobby with ample bone, moderate fore chest, level top line and a good turn of stifle. Moved well out and back. Carrying just a little too much weight today. O (4,2) 1 Linnett`s Conquell Calm to Chaos. Cobby fawn male of just over two years old. He has dark pigment, a well worked masculine head, moderate nose roll with wide underjaw. Well sprung rib cage, moderate fore chest legs well under. Good bone, short coupled, high set tail and good turn of stifle. Moved well. 2 Beach`s Laurabelle`s Pocket rocket, A lovely feminine 3-year-old bitch, darkest of pigment dark eye giving her a pretty soft expression. She has a well worked head, button ears, open nares and wide underjaw. Short coupled, with a soft warm fawn coloured coat, good reach of neck, level top line single twist tail. Very good movement.
