Many thanks to the Secretary and her committee for the kind invite to judge their Gundog group at this friendly show.
RETRIEVER (GOLDEN)
G 5(1)
1. Bell’s Hoaaloha Kealoha. Very feminine bitch of 13 months, expressive head with dark eye, good reach of neck into a well laid shoulder, straight front, good bone and feet, liked her body proportions, sound top-line which she held well at all times, she moved out soundly with an easy reach and drive.
2. Ewart’s Parlickview Blaze Of Glory over Beaupippin. Another nice bitch of nearly 12 months, preferred the head of 1 but she still had a lovely expression with dark eye, strong neck and shoulders, she was nicely proportioned with good angles and moved out well, BP & PG1.
3. Ellis’ Tenfield Sparkling Sunrise.

1. Gerhold’s Navilis Nouveau Venu JW (imp UKR). Very handsome young male of 2½ years, masculine strong head with gorgeous expression and dark eye, he had substance and a lovely outline both standing and moving, nicely angulated all through, straight front with good bone and feet, when he settled he showed some lovely free movement, presented in excellent coat and condition, BOB & G3.

1. Chandler’s Elazlan Tribal Craft JW. Immaculately presented young male of 13 months, lovely expressive head with kind dark eye, balanced skull, well set ears and strong muzzle, good reach of neck into a well laid shoulder, deep chest, straight front with good bone, nice body proportions, when he settled, he showed an easy, free ground covering gait, BOB & G2.

1. Calvert’s Calvdale Ever Thus JW. Well presented male of 20 months, masculine head with kind expression, correctly balanced skull, strong neck and shoulders, clean front, deep chest, well ribbed back with good loin, nicely angulated all through, moved out well with an easy, effortless stride.

Very feminine young bitch of just 7 months, appealing expressive head with gorgeous eye, she had a good neck and well placed shoulders, good bone, well ribbed with short loin and good tail set, moved well when settled, in immaculate coat and condition, BOB, BP & PG3.

1. Chandler’s Chanangel Jo Sugden. 10 months old presented in immaculate coat and condition, pleasing head with expressive eye, liked his body proportions, he presented a nice picture standing, good depth and well ribbed back, good tail set, moved out well with any easy reach and drive, BOB.

Nicely presented bitch of 20 months, lovely expressive head and very feminine, good length to neck and liked her body proportions, deep chest and good rib, soundly made, she was well muscled and fit, she moved out with an easy ground covering gait.

1. Rayner/Maskell’s Sh Ch. Kalimor Accolade to Raystans JW. Upstanding strongly made male of 4½ years, no mistaking his gender, masculine head with balanced head, he had a good length of neck with pleasing body proportions, good depth of chest, clean, straight front with good feet, nicely angulated, he was well muscled and fit, moved out well from all angles, BOB.

1. Mowbray’s Gainsmill Lilly Luna Potter at Crumbledor. 3½ year old bitch presented in excellent coat and condition, feminine balanced head, straight front with good feet, well ribbed back, good body proportions, she moved out well with a steady, easy gait, BOB.

1. Sanderson’s Whitgun U Can’t Touch This at Walwal. Bitch of just 12 months old, presented in immaculate condition, would like more definition in head but she had a kind eye, found her a little too square in appearance and quite straight in upper arm, strong top-line and deep chest with good rib, moved ok in profile, would like a tidier movement coming and going, BOB.

1. Cox’s Cushatlaw Athena JW. Appealing bitch of 21 months, I thought she was balanced and feminine all through, kindest head and expression, good length of neck flowing into a well angulated front, lovely body proportions with good forechest and well ribbed back, short strong loin, she had good angulation behind and was well muscled, could have carried tail a little more horizontally on the move but she moved out freely with a light, easy, ground covering gait, BOB & G1.
2. Read’s Keigame Signe. Another beautifully presented young bitch of 2 years, feminine, expressive head with kind eye, nicely angulated all through with good forechest and good depth of chest, lovely body proportions and good bone, she was easy and free on the move and was presented in hard, fit muscular condition.

1. O’Connor’s Karlejay Gump Circle of Life (AI). Well presented bitch of 4 years, lovely head and expression, clean, straight front with good bone and feet, she was well angulated all through with good spring of rib and strong loin, easy and free on the move, BOB & G4.

Ellis’ Tenfield Sparkling Sunrise. 15 month old Golden Retriever bitch who was far more settled in this class, very feminine in head with kind dark eye, good neck and strong shoulders, clean front with good bone and feet, would like a little more substance, even at this stage, but she moved out freely in all directions and was presented in excellent coat and condition.
2. Martin-Harper’s Velcrozy Woo Woo. Hungarian Vizsla bitch of just 12 months, still with lots of maturing to do, kind head and expression with strong neck and shoulders, she wasn’t stood to advantage and looked unbalanced standing, angulation ok, her movement was ok but she was presented in fit condition.

Barber-Ball’s Kalispell Couer De Lion. 4 year old male, kind head and expression with dark eye and good muzzle, well set ears and good skull, good neck and nicely angulated front and rear, he had good proportions and he moved out well showing some typical cocker movement, in good coat and condition.

Beautifully presented male of nearly 12 years in excellent condition, masculine head with kind eye and expression, good reach of neck into a well angulated front, good bone and feet, good depth of chest and correct rib, he moved out with confidence and ease, a credit to his breeding for him being so fit, pleased to see him later awarded BVIS.
2. Williams’ Kiss Me Knot - Retriever (Golden). 10 year old Golden Retriever with feminine kind head and expression, nicely angulated front and rear with good proportions, good spring of rib and short loin, not as balanced and steady on the move as winner.
