Thank you to the officers and committee for the invitation to judge Rhodesian Ridgebacks at your show. Your hospitality was wonderful and welcoming. Thanks also to my ring stewards, without whom the shows would struggle to happen.

Thank you to all the exhibitors who entered under me. All exhibits were found to have good ridges and all had a correct scissor bite.

Graduate 2 (1)

1. Whiteside’s JIMANNS TAVULLIA – 11 month old bitch who had lovely proportions, nice head with a gorgeous dark round eye, good depth to muzzle and ears set correctly, good length of neck with correct shoulder placement, forelegs nice and straight with good bone for her age, correct pastern leading into a nice tight foot, would have liked elbows to be a bit tighter but acceptable at this age, muscles were well developed in the rear and she had a good turn of stifle, moved out well and handled at a good pace, pushed the BOB winner in the challenge, BPIB. Nice to watch her taking Group 1 in the hound puppy group later in the day.

Post Graduate 2 (1)

1. Whiteside’s JIMANNS JACKASS – 2 year old male just coming into his own, shown in good hard condition, of good size but not oversized, handsome head in the correct proportion to the rest of him, fair length to skull and a pleasing dark eye, strong long neck with no throatiness, nice level top-line with a good strong loin and a slight arch, good muscle definition on hindquarters and a good turn of stifle, seemed a little distracted on the move today so wasn’t as together as he could have been.

Open 4 (0)

1. Scanlon’s KINABULA’S ALL ABOUT THE BASS JW ShCEx OSW – 6 year old light wheaten bitch who was ultra feminine, another good head and correct eye, lovely straight forelegs with good bone in proportion to her size, elbows tucked in well and a good depth of chest, lovely profile with good top-line which she held well on the move, another shown in good condition and her hindquarters had good upper and second thigh with a good turn of stifle, effortless on the move today with good front and rear movement, BOB, Lovely to watch her also take Hound Group 3 later in the day.

2. Whiteside’s JIMANNS THE DOCTOR – 6 year old male so naturally heavier set than the 1st place winner, good depth to his muzzle with a nice strong jaw, eyes well set and harmonising well with his coat colour, strong neck with good length, nice spring of rib and deep chest, good length to his loin, felt he was a little close in rear on the move today.
