Hound Association





Thank you to the society for inviting me to judge at your friendly and well run show. And thank you to the to the exhibitors for your entries and the opportunity to judge your hounds.


All dogs had good temperaments and correct bites. Ridges were mostly correct, just a couple were slightly short.


PUPPY D/B (9,4)


1: Parson’s Priorpark Poetry in Motion

Beautifully balanced 6 month old livernose bitch who moved out so well for a youngster. She has good pigmentation and a good round amber eye. Great feet and forechest with good length of ribbing, correct tail set and good width of thigh. Delighted to see her go Reserve Best Puppy in Show.


2: Davies’ Gunthwaite Fancy Man 

8.5 month old red wheaten male, shown in gleaming condition. Well up to size with a masculine head and a lovely dark eye. This boy held his topline well on the move, with great feet and strong bone.

1: Griffin’s Veldtkammer Irresistible to Clarismore

21 month old red wheaten bitch shown in great condition. Feminine head with a round dark eye and correct planes. Good depth of chest and level topline, she moved out well in the ring and I was pleased to award her RBIB


2: Dennis’ Sonnypride Rum and Raisin

Well up to size 23 month old wheaten male. He has a lovely head with a kind round eye, good feet and good depth of chest. He moved out well with his handler but sadly struggled to maintain his topline on the move.



1: Thomas-Bassett’s Bonfirebeau Red Skye

2 year old red wheaten moderate bitch with an attractive head and lovely dark eye. Good depth of chest and great feet, she moved out well but lost her topline on the stack.


2: Darnell’s Rubiltra Mitaa Wimbo at Jacquidon

Lovely 2 year old male with good reach of neck and correct moderate angulation and tail set. Good length of rib and correct loin, he sadly was carrying a little extra condition today.


3: Hancock’s Stasimelsie Mace

1: Picton’s Priorpark Point and Click JW

Handsome 2 year old livernose male, with correct amber eye. Shown in great condition this boy has good forechest and depth of chest. Lovely reach of neck on to a level topline. Once settled he moved out well but carried his tail too high which spoiled the overall picture.


2: Nash’s Mutoko’s Noble One

3 year old red wheaten male, well up to size. He has correct angulation with good pasterns and well let down hocks. The ring was on the small size to allow him to move out to his full potential today.



1: Humphrey’s Priorpark Peaky Blinder JW

Stunning, moderate 2 year old livernose bitch with fabulous pigmentation. She has a beautiful feminine head with correct round amber eye. Good bone, deep chest and good length of ribbing. She has a level topline and correct tail set. Good pasterns, great width of first and second thigh and well let down hocks. She moved around the ring with precision, covering the ground effortlessly. Delighted to award her Best in Breed and to see her short-listed for Best in Show.


2: Taylor’s Tokwe Truly A Blessing

3 year old bitch with a lovely dark round eye. Shown in fit condition. She has good bone and correct angulation, good length of rib, correct tail set and good feet.
