Kirkintilloch Lenzie & District Canine Society

Thank you to the committee for the invitation to judge and for running a very friendly and efficient show. A big thank you must go to my stewards. Also, thank you to the exhibitors for their entries and for coming under me. This was my first open show appointment for terrier breeds and I really enjoyed it.

Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Graduate

1st Macgregor’s Kirktonhill A Touch of Snow (BOB)

A 2 year old bitch with good dark pigment. Overall she had a nice shape, with a good head and eye. Was in fortunate for her that the big dogs in the ring next to her were a distraction but once settled she was nice on the move. Group 4

Airedale Terrier Open

1st Graham’s Shadlian Heavens a Dream at Thistleaire AI (BOB) 11 month bitch, very pretty, with a feminine head and good earset. Well ribbed with a firm top line and well set tail. Another a touch distracted but once settled covered the ground with ease. She later went on to win Group 2 and Best Terrier Puppy, excited to see how she continues in her show career.

2nd Graham’s Thistleaire Touch of Frost JW

Nearly 5 year old Bitch. Good top line and excellent muscle. Good head with strong jaw. A little restricted on the move today.

Border Terrier Graduate

1st Alcorns’s Comalegy Hearsay

7month old vey pretty bitch. Lovely on the move and showy on the stand. Nice outline with no exaggeration, nice bend of stifle and muscle tone.

2nd Nicol’s Upend Country Lad at Jacraila

18month old solid male, good coat. A touch too big for me. Lovely head and cheeky expression with a lovely dark eye. Nice angulation and moved well, in good coat.

Border Terrier Open

1st Glen and Shield’s Liatch Madame Pommery at Wilholme JW (BOB)

2 year old bitch, good outline and profile. Has excellent drive and reach on the move. Good size very balanced. Well presented.

2nd Alcorn, Ingram and Lowry’s Ravenside Churchill sire of graduate winner. Slighty apprehensive on the move. Good bone and condition. Nice top line and tail set.

West Highland White Terrier Open

1st Fisher’s Bobo Whiskey Shcm VW (BOB)

10 year old dog, good muscle tone and condition for age. Good coat and nice head. Correct pigmentation. Excellent tail set and moved well.

Skye Terrier Graduate

1st O’rouke’s Borcho Skoosh of Struanmore

2 year old bitch, good coat, lovely profile, covers the ground well on the move.Nice dark eye. Excellent length of neck into well layed shoulders.

Skye Terrier Open

1st O’rouke’s Esgia Glen Scotia of Borcho (BOB)

Feminine 5 year old bitch. Good movement. Good coat. Flows on the move and held her topline throughout. Nice expression and strong jaw.

Parson Russell Terrier Graduate

1st Laird’s Drailam Foxtrot

Preferred the movement on this bitch once she settled. Good outline with no exaggeration, nice for size. Sweet expression with dark pigmentation.

2nd Casson’s Heythrop Toptrick

Promising youngster who is maturing nicely, good coat and moved soundly.

Parson Russell Terrier Open

1st Mccluskey and Young’s Chadbrook Elka TAF (BOB)

6 yr old bitch, very pretty impression showgirl. Good, neat front and excellent rear angulation without exaggeration.

2nd Mccluskey’s CH Chadbrook Sunfire

Solid male, close between 1 and 2. Excellent head with a lovely expression. Moderate hindquarters which helped him power round the ring.

Jack Russell Terrier Graduate

1st Mccluskey and Young’s Ray of Light Delle Syrenuse of Chadbrook

2 year old bitch, good outline and coat. Nice head with correct placement of ears. Good bone and muscle.

2nd Galloway and Galloway’s Navigareamor Platinum Posh

7 month old bitch, promising and good movement. Correct coat and level top line, a shade too long for me.

Jack Russell Terrier Open

1st Clayton and Clayton’s Pantycelyn Highland King (BOB)

Nice male, preferred movement. In excellent coat and held himself well on the mov, showing reach and drive. Good top line and lovely head. It was great to see him win Group 1.

2nd Mccluskey and Young’s O’mare Mio Delle Syrenuse of Chadbrook

Overall a very smart bitch, lovely outline and sweet expression. Close between 1 and 2, preferred the reach of 1 today but suspect these placing can swap on another day.
