And of course, thank you to the exhibitors for your entry today and for allowing me the privilege of going over your dogs today. Dachshund (W/H) Postgraduate (5,1) 1st Ellis’ Vixendax Venus Starlight Sound 11mnth hound, moved out well true fore and aft. Well bodied with good spring of rib, masculine in head without coarseness. Good brisket, topline and bone BPIB 2nd Effers Kasalane Rhapsody More mature dog, 2 yrs. Well-constructed, pleasing head. Good topline held on the move. Moved true fore and aft. Good bone and font assembly. In hard condition. 3rd Foxs Bystock Sea Nymph Open Dog (3,0) 1st Wills’ Cicelan Magnus at Kasalane 6.5 yrs mature dog. Sound on the move, good topline and tail set. Pleasing head and expression, nothing over done with this dog. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders, well sprung in rib. 2nd Wills’ Kasalane Ostiriato Sea Pleasing head, strong neck good brisket. Topline maintained on the move, good tailset. Good front, just preferred the rear of 1. 3rd Effers Greyhayne Hactor Open Bitch (4,0) 1st Ellis’ Veenen Rewrite the Stars with Vixendax Balanced throughout, carrying a little bit of weight today but the soundest mover in the class. Pleasing feminine head, good length of neck in to well placed shoulders. Good brisket and spring of rib. Good tail set and topline maintained on the move BOB 2nd Effers Cishelvine Miss Tyfication Longer cast bitch, in hard condition. Moved out well. Nice head, good neck into well laid shoulders. Good topline good bone. Moderate throughout. Sound on the move. 3rd Pughe & Frasers Bystock Sea Nymph Dachshund (M W/H) Postgraduate (3,1) 1st Kilroys Arbennik Bertie Delightful at Janacop raw puppy dog, pleasing head and expression. Good neck into sound front construction. Level topline maintained on the move, good rear straight hocks. Ribs well back and sprung.BOB BPIB HPG3 2nd Umfrevilles Dogrose Bee of Sound Mind Longer cast than 1, pleasing head, topline level and good tailset. Good brisket, ribs well sprung. Moved ok. Open (3,2) 1st Kilroys Blackvein Rambler at Janacop Smart little hound, of good substance. Pleasing in head. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders. Strong topline, good spring of rib and brisket. Moved out well. Preferred movement on puppy in the challenge. Dachshund (L/H) Open (5,2) 1st Burley & Ways Swansford Archerdor pleasing male, good front and rear with good brisket. Masculine in head without being coarse. Coat in great condition and groomed perfectly. Good topline maintained on the move, covered the ground well 2nd Burley & Ways Swanford Almadora Feminine bitch in good coat, good length of neck into good shoulders. Adequate spring of rib and good brisket. Good tail set and topline. BOB 2nd Groses Minard Be Cuz The Lady Luvs Very raw puppy, good front construction, shoulder placement. Good length of neck. Pleasing head with sweet expression. Good depth of chest and brisket. Open (3,1) 1st Groses Belvydach Proper Job Masculine male dog, nice masculine head, good length of neck into ok shoulders. Good straight front. Level topline, maintained on the move. Preferred his profile movement. 2nd Westaways Abblis Jive Talking at Treranch Nice bitch, feminine head. Good neck into good shoulders. Good spring of rib and depth, good brisket. Level topline. A little lacklsure on the move today. BPIB Dachshund (S/H) Postgraduate (6,1) 1st Rycrofts Jacksondax Hornet Hurrah Pleasing masculine dog, stood square when still. Good head and length of neck, good front and depth of brisket. Good topline, a little long cast but moved the best in the class. Good straight hocks and strong back end. BOB 2nd Dattas Craimore Primrose Pleasing bitch of good size, low to the ground. Good brisket and spring of rib, good topline. Moved well, but was out moved by 1. Good front and rear construction. Good neck into well ladi shoulders. Toplien strong and maintained on the move, Good rear with straight hocks. Moved well across the ground BOB HG3 2nd Rycrofts Skywalker Blue Nice hound, of good substance. Good ribs and brisket, good neck and lay of shoulder. Tailset good. Preferred the rear on 1. Dachshund (M S/H) Postgraduate (2,0) 1st Smith & Connors Bronia Vicente at Conchur very raw puppy, but overall nice balance. Pleasing brisket and spring of rib, good topline and tail set. Rear OK. Pleasing head good length of neck into well laid shoulders Good depth of chest, ribs well back. Good topline maintained on the move with good tail carriage. Good and well developed second thigh, hocks well let down. BOB 2nd Dunstan & Waterhouses Shimalma Disronna at Tazkindi Masculine dog, with good head. Good length of neck, well set shoulders. Ribs well sprung and back. Good topline and tail carriage. 3rd Callards Katanga’s Black Widow at Shimonay Open (1,0) 1st Well put together bitch, strong head, good neck in to OK shoulders. Good depth of chest and spring of rib. Good topline and good rear end, well developed second thigh. Moved out well and covered the ground. Borzoi Open (2,2) Ibizan Hound Open Dog (2,1) 1st Carters Nevaehs Radical Dude (Imp USA) Pleasing expression, balanced head. Good lay of shoulder strong neck with good length. Good rear construction, hocks straight. Springy in pastern. In hard condition. Covered the ground with ease. Open Bitch (3,1) 1st Carters Ch Afilador Room on the Broom ShCM Nice put together bitch, graceful arch of neck into well laid and clean shoulder. Graceful topline, well arched over loin, tail set good. Elbows well under good springy pasterns. Moved well when settled. BOB 2nd Carters Amahtes Bewitched VW (Imp Can) Older bitch of slightly heavier mould. Good head and ear set, strong neck into OK shoulders. More level topline, good tail set. Good pasterns and feet. Nice movement, just preferred overall picture of 1. Whippet Puppy (6,0) 1st Prowses Freehamlet Saint Matilda Fine bitch but with substance. Pretty head, nice set ears of rose shape. Pleasing arch of neck into good clean shoulders Pasterns correct. Gentle topline with arch over strong loin. Well developed second thigh – good overall balance. Moved out well and with ease. 2nd Howgates Palmik Truth About Love Not much between these two puppies, nice head, good neck with gentle arch into good shoulders. Good pasterns, good topline and tail set. Hocks well let down. Moved well. 3rd Barnes’ Doddridge Strictly Cha Cha Postgraduate (10,0) 1st Howgates Palmik A Million Dreams Balanced bitch pretty head with correct ear set. Gentle arch of neck. Good shoulder placement good pasterns and good topline. Well developed second thigh and correct tail set. Definite tuck up. Well let down hocks and good pasterns. She moved beautifully and was so balanced. BOB, BPIB, HG1 and HPG1. 2nd Barnes’ Doddridge Silver Jigilo Nice masculine dog, good head, good jaw. Correct ear and set. Gentle arched neck, good topline. Pasterns good and hocks well let down. Good second thigh.elbows good. 3rd Prowses Freehamlet Saint Cecilia Open Dog (5,0) 1st Barnes’ Doddridge Secret Passion Nice example which covers the ground when stood. Pleasing head, good neck with gentle arch. Clean well laid shoulders, good pasterns good topline. Well developed second thigh correct tail set. Correct ear and set. Moved soundly 2nd Manleys Grasampa Turn on the Light at Ivybright Pleasing example. Nice head, dark eye, good jaw. Well muscled throughout. Elbows well under good depth of chest and definite tuck up, Correct tail set. Good neck into good shoulders. Nice topline and definite ruck up. Good pasterns, hocks well let down. Good tail set and well let down hocks. Sound on the move. 3rd Bridges Chesiven Crème De Monte Basset Open (1,1) AVNSC Hound Postgraduate (5,1 ) 1st Carters Gouvier Espresso Martini (Basset Fauve) – Solid workman like example of the breed. Stode out well. Good front and rear construction. Pleasing head, good neck into well laid shoulders. 2nd Farrars Henissy Farthing (Harrier) – Nice feminine example. Pretty head, strong neck into good shoulders. Good depth of chest and spring of rib. Well muscled throughout, good pasterns and good feet. 3rd Farrars Henissy Fancy (Harrier) Open (7,2) 1st Farrars Evforce Miss Havoc at Henissy (Harrier) Well balanced harrier, pretty head, strong neck into well laid clean shoulders. Good strong topline and tail set. Well boned, pasterns good, good feet. Moved out really well and covered the ground with ease. Lovely head into good neck and good lay of shoulder. Good topline and tail set. Good hocks, well let down and good pasterns. Won on movement. Pleased to hear this gave him his VW! 2nd Quants Woodweaver Moon Dust – nice outline, pleasing head with correct ear and set. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders. Graceful topline maintained on the move, moved soundly. 3rd Whites Soethonds Laodocus at Iscaglades HOUND GROUP ADULT 1 Whippet Howgates Palmik A Million Dreams 2 Harrier Farrars Evforce Miss Havoc at Henissy 3 Std Dachs S/H Smith & Connors Conchur Silver Sword 4 Breezes Dufosee Honestly of Parkebreeway Beagle – Nice beagle, moved with reach and drive. In good condition. Carried the stern correctly on the move. Pleasing head and neck in to OK shoulders. Good rear and pasterns. HOUND GROUP PUPPY 1 Whippet Howgates Palmik A Million Dreams 2 Scarletts Rossut Vestry with Michelroy Beagle. Nice balanced young beagle, pleasing head with mild expression, free from wrinkle. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders. Good bone throughout. Level topline which maintained on the move with correct tail carriage. She was a merry hound! 3 Dachshund M W/ Kilroys Arbennik Bertie Delightful at Janacop 4 Basset Fauve Carters Rangali Booty Licious – Nice hound with good balance throughout, happy on the move and covered ground well. Correct tail carriage and maintained topline on the move. Much more settled in the group which gave her the edge. AV Hound Champion (4,) 1st Breezes Ch Dufosse Dragonfly of Parkebreeway (beagle) – I gave this bitch her 3rd and crowning ticket. She went better today than when I awarded her her crown. She moved beautifully, reach and drive so evident. The sweetest of expression, beautiful head with correct ear set. Strong neck into well laid shoulders, strong topline and fabulous rear construction. Such a wonderful example of the breed. 2nd Carters Ch Afilador Room on the Broom ShCM Junior Handling 6-11 years (5,1) 1st Miss Pippa Bard handling a cocker spaniel. Smartly presented young girl, listened to my request and completed without prompt. Needs to use ring more and go around at the end to complete the picture. Just keep practicing not coming between the judge and the dog BJH 2nd Thomas Taylor Handling a scottie – kind to his dog, had good rapport. Completed the pattern without prompt, moderate use of ring. Came between me and the dog and needs to use ring more and will go far. 3rd Libby Rycroft Junior Handling 12-16 years (5,2) 1st Elayana Mitchell – Gentle and patient handler, working with a difficult charge today but did not get flustered. Good pattern work, good shadowing. Tighten up on lines and with a less reluctant dog will go far. 2nd Harriet Duffield – Got flustered with a difficult charge which distracted from the whole picture. Correct pattern work, and good pace when her dog cooperated. Try to relax and not worry when its not going as you would hope. 3rd Teoni Adult Handling 17-39 years (5,) 1st Alysha Branchflower – very relaxed handler, patient and took her time. Quietly encouraged her dog all the time, remaining understated. Good pattern work, and good use of ring with a larger breed. Really liked her attitude to the whole thing, just stayed super calm and wasn’t phased by anything. BAH and Best overall 2nd Paige Edens – Good smart handler, kind to her dog and gentle at all times. Good pattern work and good lead control. Shadowing was tidy and flowing. A strong handler who pushed hard to win this class, I just preferred the overall picture of my winner today and I was truly splitting hairs. As a side note, I was a little disappointed at the change in attitude when placed second, cemented in my mind that I made the right decision in this class between two very strong handlers who could swap places on any other day. Remember that there will be days that you will be disappointed with the result but accept judges decisions with grace 3rd Rhianne Mitchell Adult Handling 40 years + (6,3) 1st Anita Skinner – I have seen this lady improve over the years and she gets better and better at this. So sympathetic with her dog, handled gently at all times. Moved at the correct pace, good pattern work and nice lines and tight corners. Aware of where I was at all times and made the required adjustments. Just pipped in the final pattern to BAH! 2nd.Mrs Shelagh J Crowther – Good handler with nice pattern work. Just needs to tighten everything up and you will have the edge. Keep being kind and patient with your dog, rapport is a priority for me and you worked well with your dog. 3rd Penny Steele Judge Andrea Keepence-Keyte
