Judge – Miss A SK Henshaw

My thanks to the officers and committee for a thoroughly enjoyable day – my thanks also to the exhibitors for such a lovely entry, giving me some hard choices to make. Special thanks to my steward who was flying solo for their first time, doing a cracking job as well.

Puppy

1st Wynne- Evans: Drovebrough Frost Queen

A very raw baby – their first show today. Nicely made, pretty bitch, nice angles. Needs time to mature and develop. Best Puppy

2nd Wynne- Evans: Drovebrough Snow Queen

Another very raw youngster. Litter sister to 1. Again, another nicely made lady, good shape. Will come together with time and confidence.

Junior

1st Matthews and Adams Mrs A & Mrs L: Carofel Wings of Hope JW WW23 Swiss Jr Ch.

I have watched this O/W dog from afar, he is a typical example of the breed- handsome in head and appearance, good lay of shoulder and depth of brisket. Moved soundly and handled well. It will be interesting to see how his career progresses.

2nd Booth, Mrs S, E: Lundgarth Jubilee

This pretty bitch I have judged before, unlucky to meet 1 today as could have easily been my winner. she is such a pretty young lady and certainly falls in to her own on the move, covering the ground with ease. Beautifully balanced throughout with a clean outline. She certainly plays the confidence card very well which is a shame as she is so much more when she comes alive.

Novice

1st Matthews, Mrs A, D. Sonham C’est La Vie

Lovely bitch, portraying such a super shape. Very pretty in outline; nice head and pleasing feet. Moved soundly. Showed her socks off today, making most of the nice ring we had. Nicely angulated and balanced. RBOB

2nd Wynne Evans, Mrs P D: Drovesbrough Royal Flush

A nice type-y lady, good angles throughout. Pleasing head and depth of chest. Moved soundly, could have had a bit more drive.

3rd Cardiff, Miss T: Freebreeze Pixar at Prosperity

Res: Kennedy, Miss S, Drovesbrough Enid Blyton

VHC: Chapman, Mrs C Y, Evaluna Enigma

Post graduate

1st Perren, Mrs D. Evaluna Chasing Rainbows with Hookwood JW

So much has been said about this bitch, the complete package here – a super mover, covering the ground with drive, really using her angles on the rear to her advantage. Balanced throughout. Worthy recipient of Best of Breed.

2nd Milford, Ms A, J. Haramander Stop n Stare.

I have judged this lady before when she was a baby, and I wasn’t disappointed, she still has her super pretty head and elegant lines, nothing over done at all. She was unlucky to meet 1 today. I will watch her career with interest.

3rd Booth, Mrs S E. Lundgarth Everest JW

Res Wynne-Evans, Mrs P.D. Drovebrough Royal Flush

Open

1st Milford, Ms A J. Haramander Phantom

Again, I have judged him before, my notes from before said “handsome” and oh my, how he has matured into a strapping young man – everything you want from a dog- nice powerful hind quarters, lovely in profile. His hormones got the better of him in the challenge – a contender for best of breed. under the right judges, he will have a colourful career no doubt.

2nd Matthews, Mrs A D. Medogold Tartini with Sonham JW ShCm ShCEx

Nicely angulated and another bitch true to type. Nicely balanced and pretty head. Good depth of chest moved soundly.
