A delight to be afforded the opportunity to judge two breeds that are distinctly different, yet equally as eloquent. My thanks to all exhibitors and the officers and committee for an enjoyable day at a super venue.

Pointer

Puppy

1st Barker, Mrs F E. Flinthill Hot Shot 6 months – a bubbly baby, who is very smart. Nicely made throughout, pleasing shape and nicely balanced. Lots of lovely potential here – I will watch with interest.

2nd Booth, Mrs S E. Lundgarth Jubilee Another lovely youngster, with bags of promise- lots of quality features, just needs time to grow with confidence, super head.

3rd Radcliffe, Mrs J. Sniperay Mattiboo Killer Queen NAF

Yearling

1st Booth, Mrs S E. Lundgarth Everest JW Pretty young lady, with all-encompassing curves throughout, a balanced, yet pretty head with nicely proportioned features and good stop. Nice lay of shoulder and depth of chest. Good hind quarters and moved freely. Adequately muscled. One to watch.

2nd Bush, Mrs C. Piasharn Demelza Liver and white – nice to see an old-fashioned type; pushed hard for top spot, preferred overall profile of 1. Lovely head with super expression. Nicely angled throughout and moves well.

Graduate

1st Udale, Mrs A. Dowbiggins Heidi Black and white lady, feminine in head and with pleasing eye. Well laid shoulders with good depth of chest. Moderate 1st and 2nd thigh – moved with drive, covering the ground well.

Post Graduate

1st McCudden, Mrs H Forthbourne Fifth Gear A Handsome O/w dog, who is full of substance. Nicely made throughout with the handsomest of heads; good angles and well-muscled- with nice depth of chest. Moved soundly.

2nd Udale, Mrs A. Dowbiggins Goldie A pretty lady, lots of feminine features; well angled and proportioned throughout. Nice lay of shoulder and moved true.

Open (Dog)

1st Barker & Hart – Simm Mrs F E and Mrs E. Ragus Let’s Get Moving At Flinthill. A smart B/w male, who is nicely made and put together, handsome head, with kind eye. Moved with drive and portrayed a good depth of chest. Pleased to award him Best of Breed.

2nd McCudden, Mrs H Forthbourne Fifth Gear

Open (Bitch)

1st Barker, Mrs F E. Caithpoint Maia At Flinthill A very pretty bitch, presenting a well-balanced profile – good reach of shoulder and dept of chest; nicely angulated and nothing is overdone. Moved well.

2nd Radcliffe, Mrs J. Sniperay Edge of Glory JW A quality bitch, with a plethora of nice features; feminine head, well placed shoulders; muscular hind which contributes to her movement. Pushed hard for top spot, preferred overall picture of 1.

3rd Freebreeze Easy Virtue

1st McCafferty, Mr F & Mrs J Thorscrag Hades What a handsome young man! So well-schooled for only his third show. Extremely well put together, lovely angles – the handsomest of heads. Lots of potential; one to watch.

Open Dog

1st Sielski, Mrs Z M Orchidstar Bolts of Speed. Another handsome male! Nice head and dark eyes – well sprung rib, good depth of chest. Lovely angulation and muscle tone; moved beautifully around the ring. A worthy recipient of Best of Breed
