Spaniel (Irish Water) - Limit Dog. 1 (0) 1ST 4137 - Woodrock's Patriot Paddy for Antdela (Imp Fin) (Mr A & Ms A Andrews & Blades) On first entering the ring, he was a little unsure of himself and the heat of the day didn’t help. His handler was able to steady him, and once he settled, he moved soundly. I liked his size and felt he had enough substance plus required barrel shaped rib and was in good coat. He has a smart profile when standing and is compact in outline with good angulation front and rear. Best Dog. 1440 Spaniel (Irish Water) – Open Dog 0 entries 1441 Spaniel (Irish Water) – Veteran Dog 0 entries 1442 Spaniel (Irish Water) – Puppy Bitch 0 entries 1443. Spaniel (Irish Water) - Junior Bitch. 3 (0) 1ST 4142 - Malanis Bettina at Risalpur (Mrs A & Mr A & Ms A McNaught & Andrews & Blades) I really liked this smart young bitch. At just 17 months old she really looked the part both standing and on the move. Good proportions to her very feminine head, compact body, with good angulation front and rear which enabled her sound powerful movement. Deep chest, barrel rib and good coat texture added to the overall picture. (Best Junior) 2ND 4140 - Malanis Beatrice at Coleraine (Mr G & Mrs S McCafferty) I see from the catalogue that 1st and second in this class are litter sisters which accounts for my thoughts on some similar attributes that she had as she is a very nice bitch, however, I found her a tad longer than her sister and so not presenting quite as compact an outline. 3RD 4145 - Finchsmill Secret Surprise (Mrs J & Mr B K Williamson) 1444. Spaniel (Irish Water) - Yearling Bitch 1 (0) 1ST 4140 - Malanis Beatrice at Coleraine (Mr G & Mrs S McCafferty) 1445. Spaniel (Irish Water) - Limit Bitch. 2 (0) 1ST 4141 - Eldarrah Dream of Spring (Mrs A & Mr A & Ms A McNaught & Andrews & Blades. Mature compact exhibit of super quality and shown in excellent coat and condition. A nice size, she has admirable substance overall. Has a very pleasing head of super proportions. A powerful neck, into strong sloping shoulders with short level back and well angulated hindquarters which compliment her free sound movement. Was pleased to award her Reserve Best Bitch. 2ND 4144 - Stanegate Cast A Spell (Mr & Mrs A Weaving) Pleasing head and expression on this 2 ½ year old exhibit and she was shown in lovely condition. I found her a little longer cast than the one standing first, this extra length meant that she was not as compact as I was looking for and for me this affected her overall profile. She was a little untidy in her front movement today. 1446. Spaniel (Irish Water) - Open Bitch. 2 (0) 1ST 4138 - Ta An Neifinn at Banysun (Mrs C Bannister) So much to like about this very feminine 2yr old. Of superb type and quality, she presented such a pleasing picture both standing and on the move. Lovely bone and plenty of substance throughout. Great angulation front and rear, desired barrel rib and short strong level back – all contributing to her very positive and sound movement. Her coat and condition were first class. Was pleased to award her Best Bitch and Best of Breed. 2ND 4143 - Kandalin Golden Storm (Mr & Mrs A Weaving) A 5-year-old bitch of good type with a well-shaped head of good proportions. I found her to be slightly longer cast than the one standing first and she was not in her best jacket today. However, she was presented in very hard condition with well-defined musculature, albeit appearing to carry a little extra weight. When moving, she covered the ground well, driving from her powerful hindquarters but today she appeared a bit loose in front when coming towards me. 1447 Spaniel (Irish Water) – Veteran Bitch 0 entries.
