Dog Critique

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE EASTERN COUNTIES CAVALIER KING CHARLES SPANIEL SOCIETY FOR INVITING ME TO JUDGE. THE COMMITTEE AND MOST OF ALL THE EXHIBITORS. I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE DAY I CERTAINLY DID. IN MY CRITIQUE, I AM JUST SHARING WITH YOU WHAT I SAW ON THE DAY.

I HAD A GREAT TIME AND THANK YOU.

VETERANS (5)

1. CH. HARANA JACK JONES AT MERRYOTH (Mrs. K McMurray) Well who says it gets better with time/age is a understatement! I could not stop smiling. What a super dog. The head was classic, large dark eyes, correct lip line, nice dark pigment. Clean movement front and rear. It was my enormous pleasure to award RESERVE CHALLENGE DOG & BEST VETERAN

2. KHATIBI BARK OBAMA JW (Mr. J Whitman & Mr. N. Tarabad) Handsome head with a wonderful shinny coat. Moved with a level topline a nice senior B&T

SPECIAL VETERANS (10+ YEARS) (1)

1. KHATIBI READY TEDDY GO TO THE BEACHONSFYLDE ShCM (Mrs. C & Miss. L Tarabad)

       Another well kept veteran. Tons of coat, large dark eyes, moves well for his age.

MINOR PUPPY (5 1a)

1. VERHEYEN REACHER AT CRAIGOWL (Mr. G & Mrs. N Inglis) Strong headed Blenheim Baby boy. Good bone for his size. Gentle expression with dark eyes good pigment. His gait was performed effortlessly. BEST PUPPY

2. NOTORIOUS DU CHATEAU NOBLESSE AT ELLEMICH (Mrs.M Chapman & Miss T Ireland) Another lovely young puppy dog. Nice head, dark eyes, good color, happy guy. A bit younger looking than the first. He needs to mature more.

PUPPY (6 1a)

1. TORAYLAC HARVARD (Mrs. C.Gibson) Lovely head. He is small and short coupled. Well balanced, nice coat and good on the move.

2. LLAPSTTAM’S SIR PRIZE (Mr. M. Spall & Mr. M. Clark) Another quality young dog. Beautiful eyes and coat. He is a Little rangy right now. Needs to settle into his body .that will come with time.

JUNIOR (4 1a)

1. ARROWBIEN DREAM WEAVER (Messrs. K. Arrowsmith & K. Vorderstrasse) Very attractive blenheim. The body was set off with a nice lay back of shoulders, well-turned stifles, nice spring of rib, lovely side gait. A bit too much coat for me, but I guess that’s the style today.

2. PAMEDNA JACQUES (Mr. A Fox-Shone & Mrs. M. Fox-Shone) Another nice young dog. Good movement like the profile as he moved around the ring. Lovely head with nice dark eyes, and good color.

YEARLING (3)

1. CH. ELLEMICH AMERICAN EXPRESS (Mrs. M. Chapman & Miss. T. Ireland) A super young dog. Beautifully presented. If I didn’t know better I would certainly think he is one of Erica’s young dogs. He is very much Orchardhill style. A mature body, silky nice coat, dark eyes, good pigment. He moves around the ring with confidence. With his wonderful reach and drive he was one of my favorites today.

2. LLAPSTTAM’S SECRET SEVEN JW (Mr. M. Spall & Mr. M. Clark) Another handsome dog from this kennel. I like his shape and size, beautiful coat and color, big dark eyes .I would like to see him move out a bit more.

NOVICE (4 1a)

1. ESTRID ERASMUS (Mrs. J. Nolan) Very attractive. Lovely head, nice size and shape. With great dark eyes.

2. AVALCIER ACE (Mr. K. M. LI & Mrs. C.C. LI) Nice size dark eyes and good pigment. He moves ok.

GRADUATE BLENHEIM OR TICOLOUR (5)

1. CASTLEWYTCH VALENTINO (Mrs. S. Lymer) I Love this dog! Nicely marked blenheim with a very sweet expression, large dark eyes, good pigment. Correct size, good neck and shoulders. Free movement with plenty of drive from behind.

2. LOVETRAC BRANDON (Mr. P. F. Lovel) Unfortunately this was not his day. This lovely little dog was especially handsome. He had large dark eyes, silky coat, short coupled with good spring of rib. His correct pastures, good neck and correct on the move. I am certain he will shine on another day.

SPECIAL GRADUATE BLACK & TAN OR RUBY (5 2a)

1. CASSANDY BRUCE BANNER (MS. C.J. Stanton) His coat is shiny. He is a nice size. He has dark eyes and moves well.

2. FORTUNAMAJOR RUBEUS (Miss. Jackson) Attractive young dog. Nice size, and moves well. He needs time to mature.

POST GRADUATE (5 1a)

1. LLAPSTTAM’S HEAVENLY SCENT (Mr. M. Spall & Mr. M. Clark) Soft gentle expression. Eyes are lovely. Good front with nice length of neck. Moves well and would prefer just a little shorter in body. Overall very nice dog.

2. TORALAC GRAYSON (Mrs. C. Gibson) Another super nice small dog from this kennel. Handsome type, great head, good eyes, good outline. Correct on the move.

MID LIMIT (6)

1. CASTLEWYTCH INFATUATION (Mrs. A. Bayliss) I am going to repeat what I said about his litter brother. I just think that they are both worthy! I love this dog! Nicely marked blenheim a very sweet expression, large dark eyes, good pigment. Correct size, good neck and shoulders. Free movement with plenty of drive from behind.

2. LOCHBUIE CARTOON (Mrs. D. Maclaine) I was not sure what I thought about this blenheim. He is a bigger dog and he had what appears to be a curly coat or not well groomed. He had large dark eyes, a pleasant expression and he moved nicely. I don’t think this was his day!

LIMIT (6 2a)

1. RYAMIL ROCOCO HARANA ( Mrs. L. KOSTER-TINDALL) Beautiful TRI with silky coat, good long ear leathers, nice dark eyes with lots of expression., Nice dark pigment. Body was set with nice lay back of shoulders, well turned stifles, good spring of rib, good side gait as he went around the ring.

2. ARROWBEIN DREAM MACHINE (Messrs. K. Arrowsmith & K. Vorderstrasse) Another cracking super little blenheim He has it all. I liked his size and shape. He has wonderful groomed silky coat.again a bit too much for me. Large dark eyes. His movement was excellent, one of the best of the day. This was a hard class, for me two very different but both so nice.

OPEN (6 2a)

1. AM/CKCSC/CAN CH CHADWICK PURSUIT OF PERFECTION JW (Mrs. C. A. Eckersley)

This is what I wrote about him in America at the CMW Show, April 11, 2021. This young dog is perfection like his name states. He moved around the ring with a level top line. A lovely head piece, good neck and shoulders, short hocks, nice ears, large dark eyes. A very friendly, gay attitude who should go far! Consider for a major today. AWARD OF MERIT. It was such a pleasure to be able to award him DOG CHALLENGE & BEST OF BREED!

2. CH. GRANASIL TRICK OR TREAT FOR NARVIDAR JW (Mr. J Bott & Miss. R. Wileman) This was an absolutely smashing B&T. He had that fabulous shiny coat, a dreamy expression with those large dark eyes. long beautiful ears, and movement was spot on today.

CHAMPION (2 1a)

1. CH. GRANASIL BOURBON (Miss. C. E. Kilcoyne) This was a outstanding Ruby dog! Gorgeous head and eyes. Coat of the rich ruby color. Just the right amount of bone, good angulations, moves very well. Liked everything about him. I considered him for a major today.

1. CH. WANDRIS EVANLY LEGACY JW (Miss. A. Bubb & Mr. S. Barrett) A 5 year old who holds his age great! Very well made, moved out with great drive. Lovely head, great eyes. Happy and gay. Smart and elegant dog.

2. KELRICK FLASHBACK (Mr. R. & Mrs. K. Lee) The son of one of my very Cavaliers! A lovely type a lot to like. Very well made, good on the move. Large dark eyes. Good outline
