I was blessed with two excellent stewards who really made my job much easier. Without exception, temperaments were absolutely first class. Some lovely youngsters entered and I am sure some will go onto achieve top honours in the future. Some of the exhibits were too fat and I was concerned at a couple of dogs with very tiny teeth. I thank you all for your good sportsmanship and for a lovely entry. I also send my best wishes for a speedy recovery to the lady who took a tumble in the corner of the ring. Class 90. Minor Puppy Dog Entries: 8 Absentees: 3 1st Place 507 - Cremino Celebrity (Mrs J & Mr G Johnson). A well-schooled black who made the most of his opportunities here. Good skull, pleasing eye, kind biddable expression. Well ribbed with good body but not overdone in any way. Strong hind quarters. Dense coat. Steady, purposeful mover. 2nd Place 559 - Richbourne Lion King (Mrs S Wiles). Masculine and he too pleases in head and expression. Very good bone, legs and nicely padded feet. Thick double coat and a really good tail. Particularly good profile action. 3rd Place 498 - Made in A Moment in Linjor (Mrs L Harvey-Major) Class 91. Puppy Dog Entries: 5 Absentees: 1 1st Place 526 - Rumhill Bertie Wooster by Baileydale (Mr A & Mrs J Metcalfe). Chocolate/liver. Typey and very well balanced, pleasing masculine head with good nose pad and intelligent eye. Decent neck and shoulders. Good depth and breadth of chest. Some breadth over the loins. Moved out well. Sound and free moving. 2nd Place 562 - Potterzuri Mister Mufasa (Ms E Young). Sound but not quite as collected on the move as the winner. Really lovely head and expression with excellent pigmentation and very expressive eyes. Good legs and bone. Decent body for age with firm topline and well set tail. 3rd Place 484 - Cremino Capability Rossacre (Mrs V Findjan) Class 92. Junior Dog Entries: 3 Absentees: 0 1st Place 431 - Timouron's Olimpio (Mrs C & Mr D Allen). Appealed for both type and balance. Pleasing expression, broad skull, good eye. Large nosepad. Well ribbed and short-coupled with some breadth over the loins. Very good hind action. 2nd Place 549 - Potterzuri Mister Pumbaa of Flyenpyg (C M Smith). Typey and not overdone in any way. Clean over the neck and shoulders, good feet, could be a tad stronger in pastern. Dense coat. Strong, well angulated hindquarters. 3rd Place 488 - Midnight Shadow Magic (Mr M Foster) Class 93. Yearling Dog Entries: 8 Absentees: 1 1st Place 456 - Daisypatch Annie's Boy JW (Mrs H M & Mr D Chapman). A really well-made youngster who was a pleasure to handle. Grand head and expression, good breadth and depth of chest and well sprung barrel ribs. Very good coat quality and thick otter tail. Absolutely typical on the move. 2nd Place 475 - Langanhoe Wild Hudson (Miss K Druggan). Typical and nicely balanced. Good skull and when he used his ears, he has pleasing expression. Good forehand with strong, straight bone and decent feet. Good body. Charming temperament and moved out well. 3rd Place 561 - Potterspiney Potterzuri Aramis JW (Mrs E Young) Class 94. Very good front assembly with good bone, strong pasterns and decent feet. Very good rib and body with depth and breadth of chest. Moved well both out and back. A slow maturing dog who should really come into his own in another 9-12 months. 2nd Place 458 - Daisypatch Ostratto (Mrs H M & Mr D Chapman). Masculine with a lovely head and kind, biddable expression. Very good body and rib with some breadth over the loins. Good coat and tail. Moved soundly in a very typical fashion. 2nd Place 466 - Acredam Yellow Hammer (Mr D R Disley). Well-schooled and gave the appearance of being both workmanlike and active. My first impression was what a lovely outline: Beautifully balanced with good length of leg; strong, clean neck which he uses to advantage, excellent topline and tailset and this was evident both standing and moving. Closer examination reveals his lovely head and kind, biddable expression, good bone and feet. Deep broad chest and strong, short-coupled, well-ribbed body. Used his good hindquarters well on the move. 2nd Place 465 - Warringah's The Bluff JW (Mr D Coode). Black. Another of lovely type and balance. Broad skull, gentle expression. Excellent forehand and stands well with his legs well under himself. Dense, double coat and thick otter tail. Moved soundly with a free, easy action. 3rd Place 546 - Flyenpyg Porky Pig JW OSW (C M Smith) Class 101. Veteran Dog Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1st Place 495 - Linjor Sessile Oak at Ravoakar ShCM VW (Ms L, Mr C & Mrs K Harvey Major & Bambrook). A good ambassador for the breed. 11 years of age and in great condition with probably an ideal body score. Good breadth of skull, clear eyes and gentle expression. Clean neck and shoulders. Nicely balanced with good depth and breadth of chest, Well angulated and shown in good muscle tone. 3rd Place 511 - Magnavalleys over The Moon (Mr D R & Mrs S J Kennett) Class 103. Minor Puppy Bitch Entries: 8 Absentees: 2 Two good quality black bitches at the head of this class. 1st Place 430 - Timouron Hush Hush (Mrs C & Mr D Allen). At this stage I thought she just has the edge in maturity with very good body and ribbing. Lovely head and soft expression. Good forehand with well laid shoulders and good bone, legs and feet. Moved soundly with an easy flowing action. 2nd Place 429 - Timouron Confidential (Mrs C & Mr D Allen). Extremely similar but just a shade less developed. Short coupled and with good breadth and depth of chest. Well-schooled and moved out with a fluid, easy action. 3rd Place 515 - Linthwaite Mathilda (ai) (Mrs J King) Class 104. Puppy Bitch Entries: 8 Absentees: 2 A good class. 1st Place 489 - Darrabol Amphitrite with Allenie (ai) (Mr I & Mrs B, Mr G & Mrs L Ganney, Allen & Hess). Best Puppy and delighted to learn that she was eventually BPIS under Mr Rob McMaster. Composed and beautifully balanced. Feminine with good breadth of skull, very pleasing expression. Clean, well laid shoulders. Strong chest, well-ribbed and short-coupled. Good coat and tail. Moved out with a strong, free action covering plenty of ground. 2nd Place 552 - Dreammake for Tiaja (Imp Dnk) (Mrs J A Wallace). Feminine, most attractive head, dark brown eyes and very soft expression. Good nostrils. Decent forehand with good bone and feet. Strong, well-ribbed body. Good tailset. Sound and true on the move. A good prospect. 3rd Place 430 - Timouron Hush Hush (Mrs C & Mr D Allen) Class 105. Good hindquarters and short from hock to heel. Sound and free moving. 2nd Place 539 - Rochevale Gypsy at Sheenaron (Mrs R M Phillips). Not quite the maturity of the winner as yet. Nicely made with good body and ribbing. Well set tail. Strong, nicely angulated hindquarters which she used to advantage on the move. 3rd Place 467 - Allindax Masterpiece (Mr D R Disley) Class 106. Yearling Bitch Entries: 8 Absentees: 2 1st Place 464 - Warringah's Pippingara (Mr D Coode). Stood away here. Feminine head and gentle expression. Good forehand with well boned legs and decent feet. Scored here in topline, tailset and general outline. Strongly made, well ribbed body and she is pleasing to handle with good muscular hindquarters. Beautifully made and her movement both out and back was exemplary. Very attractive head and expression. Good length of leg with decent depth and breadth of chest and a strong, well ribbed, short coupled body. Well angulated and shown in good muscle tone. Excellent coat and tail. 2nd Place 541 - Woolman Carefree (Mrs Y Shirton). Has a real air of quality. Broad skull, feminine kind expression. Good forehand with decent bone and good feet. Well ribbed but without excessive body weight. Thick tail and dense coat. Impresses on the move. 3rd Place 454 - Berlan First in Line at Sandylands (Mr E & Mrs E Casey & Jayes) Class 111.
