English Toy Terriers

I would like to thank the Officers and Committee for the invitation to award my first set of Challenge Certificates at this show. This is one of my favourite shows that I have been attending for many years but this year was so special due to the King's Coronation. The atmosphere was just different to a regular Championship Show and there were so many parties and celebrations in the benches and ring side. The society itself had really gone to town with decorations and even a TV screen for people to watch the coronation live. I had two fabulous stewards who made my judging and my ring run smoothly.

Overall I was very happy with the dogs entered, slightly disappointed in more than one dog that would not allow me to even go over it. Size and shape differed somewhat but found some worthy winners.

Eight years of age but you would never have known this to look at the dog, in tip top shape for his age. Good dentition and overall condition, more than happy to still be in the show ring moving effortlessly. A real credit to his owners.

A very different type to one and nine years of age. Not as confident on table as one straight in front when stood but unsettled on the move. He enjoyed his day out.

1st: 4010 HAFFENDEN, Mrs Hazel & WOOD, Mr Jack Nasabe Play The Game

This little bitch caught my eye as she entered the ring, So very feminine with a lovely wedge shaped head, perfect ear placement, almond shaped dark eyes. Arch of neck leading into a curvy topline. Low set tail. Moved and handled well and worthy of my RCC. One I will be interested to see how she furthers in her show career as she matures.

2nd: 3977 DIXON, Mrs Lisa Jane & DIXON, Mr Graeme Lasagesse Black Magic Woman

Another beautiful youngster at just 7 months, but she was not happy to do as her owner wanted on this day. Like one a super shape and compact in size. Good head with wedge shape. Dark eyes and candle flamed ears which she used all the time as being spoken to by her handler. Almost a cheeky and defiant character shone through which gave her appeal. Defined thumb prints Moved her a few times but don’t think I saw the best of her today.
