May I thank the Committee for the invitation to judge at their well organised and friendly show, also to the exhibitors who kindly entered and accepted their placings so graciously and finally my sincere thanks to my wonderful stewards Pamela Garbutt and Graham Underwood for keeping everything running so smoothly.

VD (3 Entries) Abs: 0

1 RAYNER, & MASKELL’S Sh Ch Gunalt Academy of Raystans JW ShCM, masculine but without coarseness, still fit & muscled, correct forechest with plenty of heart room, moved so well from his moderately angled rear with a ground covering stride; 2 PEREZ’S Sh Ch Gunalt By Ek at Soncaro (AI), quality longhaired in good coat with correct feathering, sweet expression and well-made throughout, moved steadily & well presented; 3 BYRNE’S Ch Enryb Singles Party JW.

PD (6 Entries) Abs: 1

1 CHARLISH’S Gunalt The Hangover, what a lovely puppy dog who is beautifully constructed with excellent bone and proportions with good angles fore & aft. Pleasing expression, clean neck into correct front with brisket down to elbow. Level topline which he held on the move despite being so happy. BP; 2 PHILLIPS’ Moon Shadow By Atria Cordis Rivertone (Pol Imp), another quality puppy of correct proportions. Not quite the bone & substance of 1 but has a lovely outline and length of body. Pleasing head & expression with correct flew & sweet expression. Moved well & just needs time to fill his frame; 3 RAYNER & MASKELL’S Enjager Access to Raystans.

JD (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1 SUETT’S Silberliss Peckham Pouncer, good length to height ratio, moved well covering the ground on nice feet driving from well angled rear. Needs time to mature & fill out; 2 HENDERSON’S Sabsky Brno at Nikostratus, not the topline of 1 & moved correctly once in his stride. Will need more time to settle in the ring & on the move. Sympathetically handled.

SBD (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1 DREWERY’S Eventyrrikets Admiral P at Longlox (Imp Nor), pleasant expression & correct bite. Coat developing nicely. Moved better when not being strung up. Would benefit from more practice.

PGD (3 Entries) Abs: 0

1 ISHERWOOD’S Gunalt Schweppes at Caleydene JW, this dog caught my eye both stacked and on the move. Appealing expression with a kind eye, good flew, ears well set with correct length & fold. Medium size with well laid shoulders & tight at elbow with good spring of rib. Correct turn of stifle enabling him to move with drive & so very soundly. RCC; 2 FILBY & BROWN’S Desjiem Billy Don’t Be A Hero JW, nice boy with good front & rear angles enabling him to move correctly but has a tendency to roach which spoils his outline; 3 MARTIN’S Deifstock Deja Vu for Teufel JW.

LD (6 Entries) Abs: 0

1 PEARMAN’S Weipowa Denton at Britmans, upstanding male with plenty of bone & substance. Fulfils the standard. Pleasing head, excellent forechest with plenty of heart room. Brisket well down to elbow, good feet. Certainly covered the ground on the move; 2 ARNOLD’S Gunalt Roku, another nice male, finer than 1 but quality with sound construction & moderate rear angulation enabling good movement; 3 HAWKINS & HAWKINS’ Smilek Massachusettes.

OD (10 Entries) Abs: 3

1 SIMPSON’S Ch Sireva Emeyefive JW, this dog caught my eye as soon as he came into the ring. Smaller in size that detracts nothing from his masculinity. With a lovely amber eye & noble head of correct proportions, long lobular ears with correct fold. Soundly constructed with defined musculature throughout ensuring the reach & drive on movement that was just a picture of what epitomises the Weimaraner for me. I could watch him move all day. Unfortunately, he was only able to do a lap of honour in the Group. CC & BOB; 2 ALCORN & INGRAM’S Sh Ch Gunalt Hendricks, another male who is top class with a handsome head & pleasing expression. Well put together throughout with a clean level topline & accurate movement in all profiles & maintaining a level topline; 3 PAVEY & EVANS’ Sh Ch Gunalt Undeniable at Joneva.

1 MACLAINE, Ms & DICKSON’S Greyspirit Purdue CJW17 CW22 JW ShCM ShCEx VW, what a lovely bitch. So well put together. Elegant head, good shoulder placement & moving so steadily whilst maintaining her outline. BV; 2 YEWDALL’S Sh Ch Gunalt Adorable from Ladwey ShCM, pushed hard for the class. Quality throughout with pleasing expression & in fit condition. Well defined muscle tone & the best of feet. Well shown; 3 BANNERMAN’S Selhendo Special Edition.

PB (4 Entries) Abs: 2

1 HILL’S Weipowa Ida, nicely balanced throughout especially for a puppy. Sweet face & elegant neck flowing to well laid shoulders. Moved steadily & showing great drive for a puppy. Time will simply improve this nice baby; 2 MURRAY’S Silberstern Rumour Has It around Rachmor, another lovely puppy bitch. Already got the depth of brisket & nicely angled rear with a good stride & steady movement.

1 LONGBOTTOM & MILBY’S Gunalt Curtain Call JW, an appealing bitch in all fronts. Stylish & elegant with pretty head, clean outline with the correct body proportions. Moved with drive that drew the eye. Am keen to watch her mature; 2 SUETT’S Silberliss Saucy Mare JW, another pleasing & well put together bitch with good body ratios & sound movement shown at a good steady pace; 3 PEARCE & GILBERT’S Gunalt Deluxe.

1 PILATOVA’S Sabsky Svratka JW, everything to like here. Lovely construction with substance. Beautiful head & expression with an easy and ground covering stride propelled from her well- muscled & correctly angled rear enabling her neat movement to take the class. RCC; 2 TIERNEY’S Gunalt Elderflower at Greyfurs JW, smaller in frame to 1, she has a pretty head with lovely long, lobular ears, clean neck into well laid shoulders & good rear angles; 3 MASKELL & RAYNER’S Enjager Harmony with Brownbank JW.

LB (7 Entries) Abs: 0

1 STAFFORD’S Rivertone Under My Skin Farnfield, everything about this bitch screamed quality & elegance. Her beautiful outline never faltered displaying her appealing head, clean neck, well laid shoulders, good length to height ratio & spring of rib with plenty of heart room. Neat feet & correct angles allowed a fluid movement that so impressed & was shown to advantage by being so at one with her handler. CC; 2 SUETT’S Silberliss Soiltaire, another good type, distinctly feminine with nothing overdone. Pretty head & very kind expression. Nice tight elbows with brisket well let down. Moved soundly; 3 HILL’S Weipowa Beretta.

OB (9 Entries) Abs: 3

1 PHILLIPS’ Sh Ch Rivertone Head Above Water, I have judged this bitch before & she has fulfilled the potential that she showed then. The best of heads with good flew & ears long & lobular with correct fold. Nice deep chest, well sprung, moved with a smooth, accurate & ground covering stride to win the class; 2 RODGERS’ Sh Ch Minstergate Carnival JW, another I judged as a puppy & how beautifully she has matured. Well-constructed & feminine. Head correct with noble expression & good eye. Neat & efficient ground covering stride whilst maintaining a level topline.
