RICHMOND CHAMPIONSHIP DOG SHOW

It was a great honour to be invited to judge at Richmond Championship Dog Show. It my 1st time judging at this venue and I loved the layout. The day was very hot and the rain in the afternoon was welcome, just to cool everything down. Thank you for the entries it was very much appreciated. All exhibits were shown in a good clean condition.

Veteran Dog or Bitch (6,2), 1 Lovell, Mrs. J. & Lovell Mr. M.J., Liebehund Spur Royal: A 9yr old sable dog that is striking in colour. He was the best mover of the class. He is well built and has a good head and ear-set, good length of neck, his legs are well under him, giving him a stable base. Strong back and good tail set. Pleased to award him BV.

2 Taylor, Miss. S.E., Bymil Back to Blue: A 7yr old blue merle bitch that is eye catching in colour. She is very feminine and is of a good type and out-line. Moved ok, shame she came up against the 1st.

3 Siviter, Mrs. L., Rubegud Takin the Mick, Sh.CM, (VW): A 10yr old brindle dog of a good type and out-line. Pity he came 3rd in this strong class.

4 Froggatt, Mr. R.V. & Mrs. C.A., Gerefa Ghost Rider: An 11yr old Blue Merle dog that was enjoying his day out.

Puppy Dog (1,0), 1 Fitzpatrick-Graham, Ms. Paris Jay-Andraste, Ancksunamun Age of Cthulhu: A 9mth old brindle dog that is well grown, although he stood alone in this class he is of a good type. He has a masculine head and good length of neck, legs are well under him, neat rear end with good tail set. His top-line was better on the move than when he was stood, he moved out well. I was pleased to award him BPD and BPIB.

Junior Dog (1,0), 1 Taylor, Mrs. Thelma & Taylor, Miss Brooke, Tamlin Millenium Falcon: A very neat 15mth old brindle dog. He has a very nice out-line with a strong level top-line. He has a pleasing head and good length of neck, good front with plenty of heart room. His legs are well under him, neat tuck up and good back end with good tail-set. Moved soundly about the ring. Pleased to award him Res.BD.

Post Graduate Dog (1,0), 1 Stevens, Mrs. Alison, Coriend Blue Nimbus: A 21mth old blue merle dog that stood alone in this class. He is a pleasing looking dog. I loved his colouring and type. He moved well but he is a bit skittish which you will need to get on top of, and he will be worth it.

Open Dog (4,0), 1 Taylor, Mrs. Thelma & Taylor, Miss Brooke, Elessar Wolf Moon at Tamlin: A 3.6yr old sable dog, loved his rich colour. He is well grown for his age and has a good head and I liked his ear-set. Excellent neck, and liked his legs well under him, perfect for giving him a stable base to work from. Deep brisket, strong back, which he kept level on the move. Neat rear end, excellent croup and tail-set and strong hocks. Moved out very well. Pleased to award him BD and later BOB.

2 Lovell, Mrs. J. & Lovell Mr. M.J., Liebehund Forest Moon: A 6.6yr old brindle dog of a good size and lovely dark colour. There is plenty of him and he pushed hard for the top spot. He has a good head and front with good length of neck, strong back and neat rear. Moved out well, over-all he is very nice.

3 Down, Miss Judy, Ch. Elessar Howling Moon: A 3.6yr old dog that is a rich red brindle colour that is eye-catching. He was another that I liked a lot. He moved ok and there is a lot to like about him, he just needed to move out more but it was a hot day.

4 Goddard, Mrs. D. & Burgoyne, Mr. J., Pemcader Diamond Geezer: A 2.6yr old blue merle dog that moved ok and is of a pleasing type with a pleasing out-line.

Puppy Bitch (2,0), 1 Fitzpatrick-Graham, Ms. Paris Jay-Andraste, Ancksunamun Hallows Eve: A 9mth old brindle bitch that is well grown for her age, and is very pleasing indeed. She is very feminine and has a lovely stance, lovely type and out-line and so confident for her age. Moved very well. BPB.

2 Lovell, Mrs. J. & Lovell Mr. M.J., Liebehund St. Trinian: Another 9mth old brindle girl of good type and out-line, just missed out on maturity on the day. But she did move well.

Junior Bitch (2,0), 1 Down, Miss. Judy, Elessar Blue Diamond: A 13mth old blue merle bitch that I was struck by. She has a sweet expression, she is well grown with a lovely feminine head, good neck and front. A strong back, good back-end and to cap it all she moved out well.

2 Taylor, Mrs. Thelma & Taylor, Miss Brooke, Tamlin Roque Shadow: A 15mth old tri bitch, not quite the stance of 1st, but still very nice of good type with a nice out-line. She also moved well.

Post Graduate Bitch (2,1), 1 Taylor, Miss. S.E., Coriend Went Blue for Bymil: A 21mth old blue merle bitch that stood alone in this class. She is a neat bitch, well grown and is of a nice type. At the moment she is just a little scatty.

Open Bitch (6,0), 1 Fitzpatrick-Graham, Ms. Paris Jay-Andraste, Ellessar Moon Dancer of Ancksunamun: A 3.6yr old brindle, a very nice bitch well grown, she has a lovely feminine head and ear-set. Good neck, good front with her legs well under her for a good stable base. She has a good strong back, which she keeps level on the move, good back-end with good croup and tail-set. She moved out well and I was pleased to award her BB.

2 Taylor, Mrs. Thelma & Taylor, Miss Brooke, Wildcard Lilibet at Tamlin: A 2yr old blue merle, I loved the colour of this bitch. She also has a nice shape, style and lovely out-line. She moved out well with her legs well under her. Just a pity about her snow nose, put me off a little, bit still worthy of Res.BB.

3 Siviter, Mrs. L., Faywaidd Spice: A 4.6yr old brindle bitch, that is of a good type and out-line. Just a shame to come up against 1st and 2nd today. Moved ok around the ring.

4 Down, Miss. Judy, Elessar Lunar Eclipse: A 3.6yr old blue merle bitch.

5 Froggatt, Mr. R.V. & Mrs. C.A., Wildcard Queen Of Clubs for Gerefa: A 6yr old bitch.
