Welsh Kennel Club

Breed: Italian Spinone

Having judged the breed regularly for more than 25 years and having previously awarded CCs on 8 occasions I must say I found this entry not only disappointing in numbers but also somewhat lacking with respect to the overall depth of quality. With just 21 dogs entered, of which 3 were absent, the top winners, who I do consider to be exemplary examples of the breed, had an easy journey to victory. I can only surmise as to the reasons for the low entry received at this show and I do hope and pray that it was not indicative of a decline in the popularity and quality of breed.
