Breed: Brittany

Puppy D/B (1,0)

1st Gugin’s Jassendue Usua. 7 month old orange/white bitch. Feminine head of good proportion and high set ears. Good length to neck into moderate shoulders. Good depth to chest for age and good leg to body height proportions. Strong hindquarters and good rear angulation. Moved at a good pace and very soundly. Needs to mature all around but very promising. BB, BOS and BP.

Junior D/B (0,0)

Post Graduate D/B (1,0)

1st Dixon’s Capenor Coco Cosette. Orange/white bitch. Good length to muzzle and overall head shape with high set ears. Well placed shoulders, would prefer more depth to chest, short through back. Only tailed example shown today but ever wagging whilst being examined which was pleasing to see. Pulls slightly on lead on the move which throws out overall movement but signs of short brisk stride.

Limit D/B (3,0)

1st Southorn’s Rochus Nelke. Tricolour bitch of good type. Feminine head of good shape, would perhaps prefer a little more length to muzzle, used eyes and ears well to present alert expression. Good leg to body proportions, Nice shape to rib cage and strong through loin. Good rear angulation. Moved very well with brisk gait to win the class but wasn’t so composed in the challenge so lost out to the younger bitch. RBB.

2nd Finch’s Patouche Peiam Am Cetgueli. Black/white bitch with feminine head with lots of expression. Straight front legs with enough bone for build and nice tight front feet. Would prefer a little more depth to body but good overall square shape. Well handle and moved out well, demonstrating short brisk stride, held topline well in profile.

3rd Dixon’s Capenor Coco Cosette.

Open Dog (3,0)

1st Graham & Yarrow’s Sh Ch Bonapartist Pickpocket. This orange/white dog just shouts cobbiness. Masculine head without being overly coarse with good proportions all around. Nice dark, oval eyes and high set ear, both used to advantage, along with that typical Brittany head tilt!. Straight front with enough bone, stood on nice tight front feet. Good depth to chest and spring of rib. Compact and square in body with strong and muscular hindquarters. Moved with ease, demonstrating brisk, short gait. BD and BOB. Later shortlisted for BIS.

2nd Williams & Drozdova Sh Ch Bonapartist Peaky Blinder Avec Aukskara. Beautifully presented orange/white roan, litter brother to 1. Another quality cobby dog, a little heavier all around than 1 but not overdone. Excellent head shape and proportion skull to muzzle. Good length neck into strong, sloping shoulders. Deep in chest and well ribbed, strong throughout the body. Good width to rear quarters. Moved with brisk, short stride in profile, although had a tendency to come a little wide towards me, would perhaps benefit moving a little slower.

3rd Taylor & Gill’s Rennes De Pasmazgeng.

Open Bitch (3,3)

Veteran D/B (2,0)

1st Finch’s Jassendue Manet’s Medley Am Cetgueli. 7 year old orange/white dog. Nothing overdone about this boy. Good head proportions and shape with high set ears and inquisitive look. Well placed sloping shoulders, short through the back and strong loin. Good rear angulation and width to hind quarters. Moved well demonstrating short brisk stride. RBD and BV.

2nd Southorn’s Sh Ch Rochus Juliet. 9 year old orange/white bitch. Notes said very honest and typey bitch, but slightly out of coat. Pleasing feminine head of good shape and proportions. Strong medium length neck into moderately sloping shoulders. Short back into strong and wide hind quarters. Moved soundly, but not quite the brisk gait 1. Notes said very honest and typey bitch.
