I stood in as a replacement judge for Debbie Stansbury, I would like to wish her a speedy recovery. Many thanks to the exhibitors who sportingly accepted my decisions today and to the two exhibitors who previously won CC’s under me before and sportingly withdrew those dogs today. Thanks to my steward Julie Crowley who kept the ring ticking over nicely.

Veteran Dog/Bitch (3)

1. Elsworth’s, Winuwuk Close Encounter at Misstricks, 7 years old male of excellent type, he has a pleasing head with a nice eye and expression, good jaw and good mouth. Ears of good size well placed, good reach of neck, good topline and tail placement. He has enough bone, excellent feet, angulations are balanced front and rear and his movement was true coming and going. Best Veteran in Breed.

2. Murfin’s, Farvalley Instant Love, 8 years old female, very pleasing outline. She has a head of good strength, would prefer a little more muzzle. Nice eye and expression, good reach of neck and excellent topline. Good bone and nice tight feet, good depth of chest, and excellent angulations front and rear. She has a nicely balanced side gait, I would prefer her a little more positive in the rear moving away.

3. Bates’, Lullmire Rebel Rebel at Kalunika.

Minor Puppy Dog (2)

1. Mair’s, Sulez Scorcher at Glenauld, 8 months old very striking youngster with a lovely square outline. He already has a head of good strength, lovely eye and expression. Good powerful neck and well defined withers, can strengthen a little more in topline. Chest is well developed for his age, excellent angulation behind, was very well handled and presented and moved nice and steady today.

2. Brough & Cairns’, Galicar Innahurry at Limubox, almost 8 months old and another quality puppy, not quite as together today as 1. Very pleasing balanced head with a lovely eye and expression. Good reach of neck and topline is ok, needs to fill a little in forechest, he has good bone, would prefer his feet a shade tighter. He has an excellent attitude and today was very well presented and handled.

Puppy Dog (2)

1. McDonald’s, Yeteb Totally Charming, 10 months old brindle with a masculine head, nicely balanced and he has a lovely eye and expression. Good reach of neck onto an excellent topline. His chest is well developed for his age, he has good bone and nice tight feet. Excellent on the move coming and going and balanced in sidegait. Best Puppy Dog.

2. Brown & Hutchings’, Winuwuk Walk It Talk It, almost 11 months old, balanced head of good strength, nice reach of neck and good topline. He has good bone and feet, balanced angulations front and rear, today I felt he stood quite weak behind and this also showed as he moved away.

Junior Dog (2)

1. Mair’s, Macbarra Kickin’ Up A Storm at Glenauld, this was a very strong class with two excellent quality young males on display. This boy was 15 months old, but he is very striking and so together for his age. He presents a lovely outline, totally balanced. Masculine head, with a lovely eye and expression, nice reach of neck flowing onto an excellent topline. He is well angulated front and rear, excellent bone and feet, can still fill a little more in chest. He was excellent coming and going and I felt his side gait improved as the day went on and he started to settle. Pleased to award him the Dog CC & BOB and it was nice to see him place in the Working Group.

2. McCarthy & Gething’s, Boxania Romanoff to Jeddhi, 15 months old with a very pleasing balanced head of good strength. Nice reach of neck, excellent topline, good bone and nice tight feet. He has an excellent chest for his age and is well angulated behind, while he was good coming and going, I would like to have seen him a little more balanced in his side gait.
