Richmond Dog Show 9th September 2023 Pomeranians Many thanks to the Richmond Committee for kindly inviting me to judge at their show and thank you to the Pomeranian exhibitors for a lovely entry and for being such a friendly gang who took my placings in good sport. Presentation and temperaments were excellent, size was a concern in some of the younger classes, but thank you all for making my appointment so enjoyable. Minor Puppy Dog (4) 1. Robb’s, Gleniren Eddielicious, a smashing young puppy of just six months. He has a super shape and outline, very pleased with his head, loved his eye and expression, tiny ears well carried, excellent bone and feet, excellent topline and tail carriage. He has a super attitude, moves well even if not very animated at this stage. I am sure he will have a bright future, Best Puppy in Breed and delighted to hear he was later placed in the Toy Puppy Group. 2. Cawthera-Purdy’s, Lireva’s Wild to Fly the Bear, 8 months old and another super puppy. He has a balanced head with a nice dark eye, excellent ears, good flow from neck into a good topline and an excellent set on of tail. Good bone and feet and well presented and he has a very good attitude. Moved well, particularly in profile. 3. Holman’s, Altina’s Viva Las Vegas. Puppy Dog (4) 1. Firth’s, Pommeichi Aston Martin, Almost 11 months old, medium size with a very nicely balanced outline. Nice dark eye and ears set high, good topline and presented in excellent coat and condition. He moves really well coming and going and is balanced in his sidegait. 2. Ellen’s, Klassna Magic Touch, 11 months old, a smart puppy with a balanced head and lovey eye and excellent ears. Could be a little more compact in the body, nice movement in profile, today I felt he could have been a little better coming and going. 3. Lovell’s, Pawsamy’s Sweet William. Junior Dog (5) 1. Hollman’s, Altina’s Alabama True Romance, 15 months old, a very smart typy youngster, of excellent size and shape. Lovely eye, well carried tiny ears, excellent topline and tailset. He has correct bone and good feet, moved really well in profile and was also good coming and going. 2. Firth’s, Pommeichi Aston Martin. 3. Gooch’s, Lireva’s Well Fancy That for Cassiebawn. Yearling Dog (3) 1. Berrington’s, Altina’s The Bronx at Sarasate, 23 months old with a super size and shape. Nicely balanced head with a nice eye and expression. Good topline and set on of tail, correct bone and good feet. He has an excellent sidegait, I would just like him to tighten in front coming towards. 2. Firth’s, Altina’s Samson, beautifully headed male of 21 months, lovely eye and excellent ears, correct neck, would prefer him a little more compact in the body. Correct bone and good feet, nice coat and excellent presentation and he moved well. 3. Gaj’s, Fleur De Luna Aquarius. Novice Dog (2) 1. Holman’s, Altina’s Viva Las Vegas, 6 months old, he was third in the strong Minor Puppy class, but a very smart youngster who has been well trained for the ring. He has a lovely shape, is an excellent size with a nicely balanced head. Good bone and nice tight feet, he has an excellent topline and a good set on of tail. He really excels in his sidegait. 2. Gaj’s, Fleur De Luna Aquarius, 17 months, strong headed male but with a nice dark eye. He could be a little more compact in the body. He has an excellent coat and is well presented, can stand a little better in the front and be more balanced in the sidegait. Post Graduate Dog (2) 1. Ellen’s, Klassna Man of Mystery, 2 years old, he has a strong head, dark eye, excellent ears. He could of stood a little better in front today. He has good bone and feet, would prefer a slightly better topline, but an excellent set on of tail. He was presented in excellent coat and condition, and today could have been a shade more positive in the rear moving away. 2. Gaj’s, Fleur De Luna Aquarius. Limit Dog (5) 1. Killick’s, Love of my Life at Travillon, 2 years old, this medium sized boy was a lovely shape, with a pleasing head and a nice eye and expression. Good flow from neck into an excellent topline, with a good set on of tail. Nicely presented and excellent on the move, unfortunately in the challenge he was put off by a wasp and spoiled his chances of anything further. 2. Thompson’s, Izumrudny Svet Talisman For Good Luck at Oraysha, almost 3 years old with a very pleasing outline. Balanced head with a dark eye, excellent neat ears set high. Good topline and tailset, presented in excellent coat and condition, he just let himself down at times moving away in the rear. 3. Hills’, Sharhazlah Luvs A Dare Devil. Open Dog (7,1) 1. Cawthera-Purdy’s, Ch Lireva’s Wildest Dreams, 3 years old beautifully presented, of excellent size and shape. He has a balanced head with a nice dark eye and excellent expression. Good topline and set on of tail, balanced angulations front and rear. He excelled on he move, being really true coming and going and balanced in his sidegait. Pleased to award him the Dog CC & BOB and delighted to hear he was later shortlisted in the Toy Group. 2. Holman’s, Ch Altina’s Henry Higgins, really liked this 2 year old male, he is a lovely size and shape with a pleasing head, nice eye and neat tidy ears. Good flow from the neck into an excellent topline and excellent tailset. Correct bone and nice tight feet, he was well presented in excellent coat and condition. He was really good moving away and excellent in profile, would like to see him a little better in front coming towards. A worthy champion and pleased to award him the Reserve Dog CC. 3. Slough’s, Special Edition of Persimoone. Special Beginners Dog (2) 1. Gaj’s, Fleur De Lune Aquarius 2. Beinarovica’s, Born to Win Junassminis, almost 15 months old, well handled by his young handler in this class. Needs to mature in the body, nice size, balanced in head. Could be a little more balanced on the move. Veteran Bitch (1) 1. Davey’s, Ch Pomhaven’s Gotta Have A Dream at Klassna, almost 8 years old and presented in super condition. Excellent size and shape, balanced feminine head. Nice eye, ears are excellent size and well carried. Good flow from the neck into an excellent topline with a good set on of tail, she was excellent coming and going. Best Veteran. Minor Puppy Bitch (3). 1. Berrington’s, Sarasate True Romance, just 6 months old and a very smart puppy. She has a balanced feminine head, lovely eye and excellent ears. Good flow from the neck into the topline, excellent set on of tail. Really good on the move today with a lovely sidegait. 2. Beinarovica’s, Dancing Queen Junassminis, 6 months old, nice size and shape, medium strength head, nice eye and good ears. Presented in excellent cot and condition. 3. Pickering’s, Mindys Story at Travillon. Puppy Bitch (4) 1. Davey’s, Klassna Dream Dream Dream, 11 months old, of good size, very finished looking already. Balanced head with a lovely eye and expression. Presented in excellent coat and condition, nice flow from the neck into an excellent topline. She has correct bone and good feet and she really excelled on the move. 2. Pike & Carter’s Mi Misuzis Final Fantasy for Breezelyn, 9 months old, really liked this medium sized puppy, she has excellent size and shape. Feminine head with a nice eye. Good topline and tailset, would just like to see her strengthen in the rear a little on the move. Beautifully presented and handled. 3. Ngai’s, Hr-Fh Bih Baby Ch Yoshipom Destiny Calls. Junior Bitch (6,2) 1. Thompson’s, Oraysha Little Miss Perfect, 14 months, really liked this youngster. Excellent size and shape, balanced head with a lovely eye and tidy erect ears. Presented in excellent coat and condition, she has a lovely flow from the neck into an excellent topline, well set on tail. She is beautifully balanced on the move, pleased to award her the Reserve Bitch CC. 2. Gooch’s, Paavali’s Private Dancer at Cassiebawn, 12 months old, of nice size. Pleasing head, with a nice dark eye and lovely ears. She has correct bone and good feet, was presented in lovely coat and condition. Would have preferred her a shade more compact in the body. Very well handled and she moved well. 3. Ngai’s, Int/F.Bih Jch Mjw-23 Yoshipom Born Ready. Yearling Bitch (1) 1. Cawthera-Purdy’s, Lireva’s You Are My Sunshine, 19 months old, nicely head female, well presented in excellent coat and condition. I would have preferred her a shade more compact. Good topline, correct bone and nice tight feet. Good coming and going on the move, but can still be a little more balanced in her sidegait. Novice Bitch (6,1) 1. Pike & Carter’s, Mi-Misuzi’s Flower Power for Breezelyn, 9 months old, still quite raw in the body but she has lots of quality. Feminine head with a nice dark eye, good ears well carried. Pleasing bone and nice tight feet. She is excellent coming and going, but can improve in her sidegait. 2. Pickering’s, Mindy’s Story at Travillon, 3rd in a nice Minor Puppy Class, she is a pleasing type of nice size and shape, presented in lovely condition, coat is a little soft at this time. She can move nicely when she puts her mind to it… 3. Hills’, Trenarwyn Catherine Wheel at Sharhaziah. Post Graduate Bitch (1) 1. Slough’s, Spanapoms Heavenly Lass, 2 years old, she is lovely size and shape. Balanced head with a nice eye, she could have held a slightly better topline while on the table. Super temperament, presented in good coat and condition, though texture of coat could have been harsher. Moved well and nicely handled. Limit Bitch (2) 1. Cawthera-Purdy’s, Lireva’s Gloria Swanson, 2 years old of lovely type. She is an excellent size and shape with a feminine head and a lovely eye and expression. Nice flow from the neck into an excellent topline and a good tailset. Would have preferred her to stand a little better in front today, moves nicely with an excellent sidegait. 2. Beinarovica’s, Lex Fati Junassland, 2 years old with a feminine head, dark eyes and excellent ears. She has a super temperament and was well handled by her young handler today. Topline is ok and excellent tailset, just a little loose in front at this time and needs to find a balanced stride as she tends to skip along. Open Bitch (4,2) 1. Robb’s, Ch Gleniren All Eyes On Me, 21 months old, she is a super size and shape. Balanced feminine head with a nice dark eye and excellent expression. Good flow from neck into an excellent topline and excellent tailset. Presented in excellent condition with good harsh coat texture. Correct bone and nice tight feet, she moved briskly with an excellent sidegait. Pleased to award her the Bitch CC. 2. Davey’s, Bilijess Wishing On A Star with Klassna, 3 years old, quality female, very well presented, a pleasing bodyshape with a lovely balanced head and a nice eye. Nice flow from neck into topline, well angulated front and rear, moved freely with a nice sidegait, but could be a little more positive in the rear moving away. Special Beginners Bitch (5,1) 1.Moore’s, Klassna Tell Me More with Chibaya, 3 years old, she is good size and a pleasing shape. Medium Dark eye, excellent ears. Could stand a little better in front. Nicely presented and handled and moved freely. Best Special Beginner. 2. Beinarovica’s, Dancing Queen Junassminis. 3. Beinarovica’s, Lex Fati Junassland. Judge Paul Lawless
