West Of England Ladies Kennel Society

Breed: Gundog Group

Gundog group West of England Ladies’ Kennel Society.

Many thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge the gundog group, I felt very privileged to be asked. The hospitality was wonderful and thank you for the fantastic gift, this will be very much treasured.

The group was very well represented, the ring large and many of the dogs used it very well when asked. My short list consisted of a wonderful young English Setter, a mature Red & White setter and Flat Coat Retriever both moving like youngsters which is fantastic to see, a young American cocker bitch presented to perfection, a beautifully presented Cocker Spaniel, a wonderful Black and White English Springer and one amazing Sussex Spaniel. So effectively I was spoilt for choice. To the judges I say thank for sending through Quality exhibits.

Sh Ch/int/nl/dk/pl Ch Prince Charming Qdore of Labgold Jww18, Breed: Retriever (Golden) (Mrs Pastusiak)

I was delighted to award him group 1 today, I was impressed with his balance being so symmetrical, His head

displayed a wonderful expression and so balanced to his body. He moved around the ring with such power with a long and free stride,

so true in front and rear. I had no hesitation in awarding him the group.

Sh Ch Riverbrue Gloriana, Breed: Irish Setter (Mr B A Crocker)

I judge this bitch recently and felt her worth of the BCC at that point, but I have to say she looked even better today. Her head is classic and so typical of the breed she is so full of expression, having a mischievous look in her eye which ensure she is ready to move before her handler is ready. Congratulations on group 2 and todays win as she became the Bitch CC record holder, which she took the crown from a bitch whom I had previously award the Breed record.

Wilchrimane Frankly Darlin, Breed: Pointer (Miss, Mrs & Mrs Siddle, Siddle & Medeiros)

Dictating some notes for my report whilst driving I simply say WOW. Graceful and full of curves is stated in the breed standard and that is

what she has in abundance. What you see is what you get in this young bitch I shall follow her career with interest. Congratulations for group 3 today.

It Ch Nepal Dei Morenici, Breed: Italian Spinone (Mrs C Rota)

Absolutely nothing exaggerated at all in this dog, displaying balance as required almost square in appearance. His head and expression is

So kind and almost looks at you with his heart. Moved freely, so very sound and holding his topline at all times. Delighted to award him

Group 4.
