Richmond Dog Show Society

Breed: German Spitz (Klein)

Thank you to the officers and committee of Richmond Championship Dog Show Society for inviting me to judge my three favourite breeds. Thank you to my excellent stewards, who kept everything flowing perfectly. Thank you to all the exhibitors for your entries, I enjoyed going over each and every dog. There was a lovely atmosphere around the ring. Dogs and handlers are to be commended for coping with the heat so well. To the end the dogs were showing their socks off. Numbers were low today but there are some quality dogs in evidence from the young to the older dogs.

Veteran Dog (1) 1). Trendle’s Lusam Cheeky Boy. Well muscled boy, lovely shape, short coupled, well ribbed up, good fore chest. Good head proportions. Moved a little narrow going away, ok coming towards, good profile movement.

Minor Puppy Dog (0)

Puppy Dog (1) 1). Chambers & Chambers’ Claran Court You Looking For Musique. Beautiful head and expression. Moderate bone. Good tail set. A little rangey at present, needing to mature through body. Out of coat today but what he did have was harsh and straight. Moved well from the rear, needs to settle in front.

Junior Dog (1, 1a) 1). Rogerson’s Nosregor Takes It All. Short back. Balanced angulations. Beautiful head and expression, with oval eye and neat ears. Moderate bone, needs to drop in brisket. Out of coat, but what he had was harsh and straight. Moved well in all directions with a brisk, effortless gait.

Post Graduate Dog (1) 1). Lampen & Wilson’s Vallisagrove Buzz Von Rosco. 14 month old boy. Good outline, in full coat. Well ribbed up, good fore chest. Dark eye, a little rounded. Short muzzle. Moved well coming and going when settled. Would benefit from more schooling.

Limit Dog (1, 1a) 1). Chambers & Gepp-Cox’s Bemojo Pearls of Wisdom At Musique. Such a fabulous boy, excels in outline and underneath his full, harsh, sparkling cream coat is a superbly constructed dog. Short coupled, with a good spring of rib. Correct angulations front and rear. Moderate bone, stands four square, with neat feet. His head is beautifully proportioned and dark ovel eyes and neat ears, well placed, completed the picture. He moved round the ring with a well placed footfall, straight coming and going. Pleased to award him DCC (His third) and BOB.

Open Dog (4, 2a) 1). Jackson & Minshall’s Perrymere Just Bertie. Lovely headed male. Good body, balanced angulations front and rear. Appears low on leg but good to go over. Good spring of rib, defined fore chest and developed brisket. Moved well coming and going. RCC. 2). Davies, Peck & Bradbury’s Wychlea Percy Vehere. Quality male with lovely balance throughout. Beautiful head and expression, moderate length of neck into well placed shoulders. Good angulations front and rear. Well boned straight legs. Moved effortlessly with a balanced and brisk gait. Felt he was out of condition today.

Special Beginner Dog (0).

Veteran Bitch (2) 1). Serman’s Wychlea Lady In The Mirror By Tymy. Lovely outline, short coupled. Stood four square. Good fore chest, moderate bone. Well proportioned head with oval eye and neat ears, still has her full dentition. High set tail. Moved well in all directions. RCC & BV 2). Trendle’s Lusam Toodle Pip ShCM. Preferred head and expression of 1. Excels in body, good angulations front and rear, moderate bone, high set tail. In harsh straight coat. moved well with an effortless, ground covering gait.

Minor Puppy bitch (1) 1). MacPherson’s Kismets Valhalla. 6 months bitch. Lovely outline. Short coupled. Lovely head with good skull: muzzle proportions. Excellent fore chest for one so young. Nice oval eye. Enough bone. High tail set. Good angulations front and rear. Moved well coming and going. Excellent temperament. Harsh coat coming. BP.

Puppy bitch (1, 1a)

Junior Bitch (1,1a)

Post graduate Bitch (1) 1). Godridge’s Isilme La La Vhoom. Lovely head proportions, oval eye, ears well set. Good bone. Well developed fore chest. Well ribbed up. Would prefer a shorter back. Out of coat but what she had was harsh. Moved well when settled.

Limit Bitch (1) 1). Lampen & Wilson’s Indian Moon With Rosco. Good head proportions, with good width to muzzle. Could have a slightly longer neck. Would prefer more angulation in front, well ribbed up with moderate angulation to the rear. Well developed fore chest. High set tail. In profuse coat, well presented. Moved well in profile.

Open Bitch (3, 1a) 1). Ferry & Ferry’s Ch Longsdale’s Little Bird With Ferrybelle. Scored on overall finish and in full coat, with a beautiful square outline. Lovely in profile, short in back and well ribbed up. Good through fore chest and brisket. Well off for bone and neat feet. Head of lovely proportions with an oval eye and neat ears giving a foxy expression. Moved well in all directions, covering the ground with a typical gait, not exaggerated in any direction. Presents a balanced outline when stood and on the move. BCC. 2). Rogerson’s Nosregor Sister Sledge. Another quality bitch, just lacking in coat today. Beautiful head with typical wedge. Defined fore chest, balanced front and rear angulations, well let down in pasterns. High set tail. Slightly longer in back than 1. Moved well coming and going but made her handler work hard in the heat.

Special Beginners Bitch (1) 1). Saunders’ Delgray’s Bootylicious At Brookwell. Very well handled, responsive to handler. Smaller sized bitch in full, gleaming coat. Very short coupled , good tail set. Moderate angulation front and rear, with a good fore chest, enough bone for size with neat cat like feet. Moved well in profile.
