Large Munsterlanders

I would like to thank the Officers and Committee of Gundog Breeds Association of Scotland for their kind invitation to judge Large Munsterlanders without CCs at this show. A modest entry of 7 dogs but quality wise I was spoilt for choice. A big thank you to my steward who worked tirelessly all day and thank you to those exhibitors who brought their lovely dogs under me.

Body of correct proportions, good height to length ratios. Well sprung rib. Well presented and in lovely condition.moved freely with drive. Not yet 2yr old so still maturing. Top honours aren’t too far away I m sure. Best Bitch, BOB.

2nd: Logie & Braidwood’s Sh Ch Albadhu Pawsitive Vibes JW. Another quality bitch who fits the standard so well. Same way bred as winner and it is easy to see why this mating was repeated. Similar comments apply, just felt the younger bitch had the edge on movement today.

Veteran D/B (2,0)

1st: Logie & Braidwood’s Sh Ch Cindy Vom Hunsfeld at Albadhu (IMP DEU). Certainly not looking or acting her 8 years of age. She is the dam of my Best of Breed and others entered today and it is therefore easy to see where the quality in these dogs originate from. Lovely type, feminine throughout. Well balanced outline, good bone and excellent feet. Well muscled. Moved really well. Res Best Bitch.

2nd: Dunsmore’s Jaudus Kind Of Magic at Kennedun. 7 yr old who gave a good account of himself. Masculine head, balanced when stood, enough bone, mature body and shown in good condition. sound enough on the move.
