I would like to thank the Officers and Committee of Gundog Breeds Association of Scotland for their kind invitation to judge GSP with CCs at this show. This was my first time awarding CCs for this breed and I was really pleased with both the number and quality of the entry. My steward worked efficiently and tirelessly all day. Exhibitors applauded well and seemed particularly pleased with my main winners.

Minor Puppy Dog (3,0)

1st: Brown’s Montelba Mustrum Ridcully. Quality youngster. Liked his head and expression, good length to neck. Balanced outline when stood. Lovely topline, well made front and back. Maturing nicely. good depth and width to body. good bone and feet. moved really well. Best Puppy Dog and Best Puppy in Breed

2nd: Garvey’s Richtig Rahue. Another nice puppy. Typical head and expression. Well angled front and rear. Balanced outline when stood. Maturing nicely. just needs to settle on the move. Plenty of time on his side.

3rd: Blair’ s Richtig Royal game

Puppy Dog (4,1)

1st: Mcmurdo & Tierney’s Ceilloch Express. Masculine head with pleasing expression. Good length to neck, well placed shoulders, straight front. Enough angle to stifle. Good bone. Correct height to length of body proportions. Correct coat and nicely muscled. Moved out well.

2nd: Garvey’s Richtig Rahue. 2nd in MPD

3rd: Blair’s Richtig Royal Game

Junior Dog (3,1)

1st: McCafferty’s Thorscrag Hades JW. Head ok, could be more refined in back skull. Good length to neck, ok bone and feet. Straight front. Good topline and depth to chest. Moderately angled rear. Moved cleanly but lacks drive. Good coat.

2nd: Schoneville’s Orchidstar Thewisto by Balvenie. Smaller dog, head not as defined as one, decent neck and shoulders. Ok fill to chest, nicely muscled. Not settled on move today, and loosing topline.

Limit Dog (4,0)

1st: Harvey’sValgar Snow Patrol At Imaniz JW. This dog caught my eye on entering the ring. Quality through and through, he just flowed from Head to tail. masculine expression, lovely soft eye. Strong neck of good length. Correct shoulders, straightest of fronts, mature body with good depth and well sprung chest. correct length of body to height ratio which makes him so well balanced. Strong bone and good feet. Well muscled thighs with well angled stifles. Moved effortlessly with drive. In lovely condition to finish the picture. Super coat and condition. Could not be denied the CC today and later just pipped the younger bitch to BOB. Delighted to hear that this gave him his title.

2nd: Shepherd’s Orchidstar Full Speed Ahead. Masculine head of good proportion. Good neck and shoulders. Straight front. Balanced when stood. Mature body. Good bone Rear movement a little unsettled today.

3rd: Hill’s Ceilloch Russian

Open Dog (5,0)

1st: Brown & Burns’ Sh Ch Magregor Pop The Dom Over Pothouse. Lovely dog to go over. Masculine head and expression, strong neck of good length. Excellent shoulders, straightest of fronts. Good bone and feet, well angled rear. Mature body and muscled throughout without any coarseness. Moved soundly with so much drive. Correct jacket. Unlucky to meet the Limit winner on such good form. No surprise to see he is a champion. Res CC today.

2nd: Mann’s Elfrindew Endrich To Valgar. Pleasing head and expression. Excelled in length of neck and shoulder placement. Mature body with correct depth and width to chest. Strong well angled rear. Good topline and moved well, just did not have the bloom of my winners.

3rd: Stelski’s Sh Ch Orchidstar Bolts of Speed

Veteran Dog (2,0)

1st: Thurm’s Sh Ch Bryburn Bacchus JW Sh CM ShCEx. Well made masculine dog with correct head proportions and lovely eye. Good length to neck. So balanced in outline. Well made front and rear, good depth and width to chest. Good bone and feet. Good coat. Moved well. Best veteran in Breed

2nd: Staly’s Jomeel Monkey Wrench. Would have liked a slightly longer neck and not quite the movement of winner today. Kept his topline when stood and on the move, overall balanced when stood.

Spec Beginners Dog (2,0)

1st: Mccafferty’s Thorcraig Hades JW. 1st in junior

2nd: Shepherd’s Orchardstar Full Speed Ahead. 2nd in Limit.

 Minor Puppy Bitch (2,0)

1st: Maclean, Bowie & McClenaghen’s Richtig Ritz Fizz. Young bitch with feminine head, good neck and liked her overall shape and balance. Good bone for age. Has plenty of time to mature and develop. Better movement today than 2nd.

2nd: Brown’s Montalba Miss Aching. Not quite presenting a balanced picture yet but again plenty of time on her side Pretty head and expression. Nice bone. Needs to settle on the move.

Junior Bitch ( 2,0)

1st: Tait’s Benboee Beelieve. Feminine head with lovely soft expression. Good neck and shoulders. Well angled stifle. Body developing nicely, good topline both standing and on the move. Enough bone, good feet. Correct coat. Moved well with confidence.

2nd: Ryan’s Magregor Peppermint Moon. Another with a lovely head and expression. Excelled in length of neck. Well made throughout. Good bone, well proportioned body length to height. Super coat and condition. Just needs to build in confidence. Moved soundly.

Yearling Bitch (4,0)

1st: Barnett’s Magregor Howl To The Moon ove Tibertich JW. What a quality bitch. Felt she was a feminine version of my dog CC winner. Flowed from head to tail. A joy to go over. Loved her head and expression, great neck and shoulders, straight front. Good bone and feet, well made rear. Mature body with good depth and width to chest. So balanced standing and she moved effortlessly with drive. First class coat. Delighted to award her the CC and have no doubt her title will follow quickly.

2nd: Staley’s Jomeel Olivia’s Choice. Heavier type than winner but balanced and well made. Good head, neck and shoulders. Mature body, well made rear. Good topline and moved well.

3rd: Tait’s Benboee Beelieve

Graduate ( 4,1)

1st: Blair’s Amblairfield Flymaamlewan. Feminine head, good length to neck. Pleasing outline when stood. Enough bone. Good angles front and back. Correct topline Won this class on movement.

2nd: Morrison’s Brozak Rise of the Pheonix. Close to winner but just not as confident on the move today. Feminine head, balanced body. Mature enough angulation front and back.

3rd: Tait’s Bamboee Beelieve

Post Graduate Bitch ( 2,0)

1st: Merritt’s Sperant Chocolate Cosmos JW. Another who won on movement. Well put together. Pleasing head, good neck. Correct topline both standing and on the move. Good bone and feet.

2nd: Tait’s Benboee Beelieve 3rd in Yearling and graduate. Feminine bitch of good size. Nice outline when stood. Enough bone. Just not settled and strong enough on the move today.

Limit Bitch (6,2)

1st: Stewart & Boyles’ Magregor Amourette Avec Levagrad. Lovely bitch to go over. Full of quality. Lovely feminine head and expression. Good length to neck, well placed shoulders. Straight front and well off for bone. Good rear angulation. Balanced throughout with good depth and width to chest. Correct topline. Best of coats. Moved effortlessly with drive. Considered her for further honours. I m sure her day isn’t too far away.

2nd: Jackman’s Navigareamor Spring Tide. Another pleasing bitch to go over. Today I just preferred more solid topline and movement of winner. Feminine throughout, balanced when stood. Coat could be better. Good bone and feet. Mature in body.

3rd: Merritt’s Sperant Pamplemouse

Open Bitch ( 6,0)

1st: Thurm’s Sh Ch Dappledele First Date At Bryburn. Quality bitch whose movement was top class. Lovley feminine head and expression. Strong neck of good length. Well made front and back, good angles. Good bone and feet. Good coat and presentation. Very mature and confident on the move. Today had to settle for the Res CC but not difficult to see why she is a champion.

2nd: Garvey’ s Richtig Ragdoll JW. Feminine throughout, lovely head, neck and shoulders. straight front Enough rear angulation. Mature body with good depth and width to chest. Good bone and feet. Lacked reach and drive, needs more thrust. Ok coat.

3rd: Sielski’s Orchidstar Jenga

Spec beginners Bitch ( 5,0)

1st: Ryan’s Magregor Peppermint Moon. 2nd in junior

2nd: Blair’s Amblairfield Flymaamiewan. 1st in graduate

3rd: Morrison’s Brozak Rise of the Phoenix
