Breed: Irish Red & White Setter
F DARLINGTON DOG SHOW SOCIETY Irish Red & White Setter Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge and to the exhibitors for allowing me to judge your lovely dogs. All dogs were turned out in good condition and well-groomed with good temperaments. I did feel that some exhibits were lacking in fore chest and spring of rib which resulted in some of my decision making. We must not forget that this is a gundog and therefore needs good heart & lung room to sustain stamina. VD (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: BAYNE, Mr G C & BAYNE, MRS J CORRANROO CASPER liked him for breed type, he is well balanced with good bone and substance, good condition, lovely coat and not showing his age. Correct skull, nice eyes with correct ear set, lovely reach of neck into good shoulders. He has good fore chest and spring of rib, level topline held on the move with correct tail set. Adequate sweep of stifle with good hocks. Moved well and my pleasure to award him the RCC & happy to see he was placed in the RCC stakes. 2nd: WHITAKER, Miss M Oldestone Caught in the Act at Viewland nice dog in good coat and condition with good bone.
