I would like to thank the Society for their invite, to what was to be the last East of England Show, A beautiful venue and well run. I had a lovely entry in both breeds, and must thank the exhibitors for the way they accepted my decisions.

Wow, what a start to the day, 2 pups at different stages of their development, this brown dog exudes quality, best of heads with a soft gentle yet intelligent expression, short yet slightly arched neck leading to well laid shoulders and correct through front, ribs developing nicely for age, short backed and super shape when stacked, best of coats for age, thick tight ringlets with a good undercoat, strong loin and loved this boys angles behind, absolutely loved his presence and drive on the move, perfect foot fall and carried his tail just above the level, although still young I couldn’t deny him BD, BOB and then watch him go Gundog G4. A future Star in the making.

2.Mikette Aye Aye Captain (Mrs J Blunden)

Off white dog, although almost same age as 1, just not the maturity and on a different growth curve, liked his shape and size, good head shape, not the facial furnishing hair as 1, good neck and shoulder, correct front assembly, good topline and coat coming on nicely for age, straight and true on the move both going away and coming towards, but just needs to settle to show his true potential.

white dog of good overall shape and size, correct head shape, moderately broad with good muzzle to skull ratio, good neck leading to correct well laid back shoulders, good front, liked his square shape when stacked, strong topline and well set tail, strong loin and well muscled rear with good bend of stifle, In good coat with tight curls and good undercoat, good movement showing drive and correct tail carriage, pleased to award him RBD

2. Foogel Roberto at Onyxro (Imp Fin) (Mr M W, Mrs M G, Miss C & Miss N Mangham)

Off white dog with brown markings, lovely shape and size, in good coat of good texture and good undercoat, good head and expression, square in body and well muscled behind, would prefer slightly more turn of stifle to him, moved well with drive but just not the tail carriage of 1 on the move today.

1. Arcticbreeze Turbulence at Allsong (Mr S A & Mrs B L Whittick)

White dog with brown markings, good head shape and correct proportion to skull, good eye shape and colour, short strong neck and well placed shoulders, square in shape when stood with strong topline, well muscled loin and good angles to rear although I found his tailset a little too high for me. Straight and true on the move and showing good drive and reach in profile.

Brown roan bitch, lovely shape when stood, square and of good size, good head shape and alert expression, well laid shoulders and good front, well off for rib for age, strong topline and short coupled leading to well angled rear good tail set, found her in good coat for age, thick and full and in good undercoat, moved well just a tad nervous on the day.

Off white / cream bitch, nice head shape with good eye shape and expression, correct length to neck and well laid shoulders, correct in front and good rib, short firm back and strong loin, good angles behind and efficient in her movement.

Post Graduate Bitch

1.Arcticbreeze Truth or Dare (Mrs L Mort)

2 brown bitches both on the lighter scale of the colour, liked the shape of this bitch when stacked, pleasing head and expression, good neck and correct through shoulder and front, found her in better coat than 2, correct thick tighter curls, good topline and strong hind quarters and good turn of stifle, moved well showing good drive going away.

2.Gameglow All or Nothing (Mrs L Cooper)

Another who I liked the shape and size of, unfortunately not the coat of 1 today slightly shaggy rather than ring shaped, good head shape and clean neck and well formed shoulders and front, well off for rib and correct topline, good tailset, good angles to rear and showed enough drive and purpose on the move.

1. Mikette Maledictus (Mr J & Miss L Gilder & Blunden)

Off white bitch, liked her head planes and shape, good eye just not facial coverings of 2, short slightly arched neck, well placed shoulder and straight front legs, lovely body shape with good topline and short well muscled loin, slightly higher tail set than 2, but held well on the move. Well turned stifle and a brisk gait showing good drive both in profile and on the away and towards. Good coat of correct covering with good undercoat.

2. Arcticbreeze One and Only (Mrs L Mort)

Another close to 1, but on the day just preferred the topline of my winner, liked her head shape and short well set neck, good shoulder placement, enough rib and found her in good coat, short loin and well developed rear, moved soundly, straight both going and coming towards.

Lighter brown roan bitch, lovely head shape with plenty of facial hair coverings, correct length to neck, good shoulder and good front assembly, compact square body shape, with good topline and found her in good coat today, liked her strong rear and good turn of stifle, steady on the move with good footfall, pleased to award her RBB.

2. Prada Della Fino to Bedeslea (Imp Usa) NAF (Ms C & Mrs V Fry & Norbury)

Another quality bitch who could swap places on another day, good head and expression not carrying the same furnishing on the face as 1, good neck and well placed shoulders, good body shape and another who has correct angulation behind, moved well but just preferred tail carriage on the move of 1 on the day.

Cream with lighter brown markings veteran who certainly wasn’t showing her age today, lovely shape when stacked, super head shape, and alert expression, short strong neck well laid shoulders and correct through front, compact body with strong loin and good tail set, correct angulation behind which allowed her freedom of movement. Good driving action and well placed footfall BB, RBOB and BV
