Breed: Dogue de Bordeaux
Dogue de Bordeaux Class 87 PD (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 193 REILLY, Miss Megan Kensesqui Cuckoo Head is developing nicely on this seven month old boy. Broad with enough stop and wrinkle. Strong through the muzzle and open nostrils. Excellent eye colour and shape. Ears set correctly and used to advantage. Good neck and front construction, well off for bone but needs to strength through the pasterns. Well ribbed, good length of loin and nicely muscled at the back for his young age. Good tail. Loose on the move as you’d expect at this stage of development but a promising baby. Class 88 JD NO ENTRIES Class 89 PGD (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 187 KENYON, Mr Declan & KENYON, Mrs Stephanie Biscay Winston For Desquire JW Really strong boy, masculine head with quite a bit of wrinkle. Excellent muscling of the cheeks, powerful jaw and good flews. Good eye colour and shape. Well muscled neck into well laid shoulders and has a good amount of dewlap. Broad through the chest, well boned fores with good pasterns and feet. Excellent ribs, carried well back, good loin and well muscled rear with well developed second thigh. Excellent tail. Moved well around the ring. Reserve Best Dog. Class 90 OD (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 190 MORAN, Mrs Linda Aibrean Kenzo When I think of the breed, this is the type of dog that comes to mind. Such a typical masculine head, strong and broad with great wrinkling but nothing overdone. Defined stop, short through the muzzle, powerful bite and correct flews. I absolutely loved his expression, his eye colour and use of ears really helped this. He is in excellent muscular condition all through. Correct angulation at the front, excellent width and depth of chest. Well boned, strong pasterns and great feet. Well sprung ribs, solid through the topline and loin. Nicely angulated rear which gave him a great driving action from the hocks when he moved. It was a hard decision for Best of Breed however his overall ring presence combined with his excellent conformation just gave him the edge over the bitch today. Best of Breed. Class 91 SBD (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 193 REILLY, Miss Megan Kensesqui Cuckoo As above. Best Special Beginner in Breed. Class 92 PB (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 189 MCGURK, Miss Sarah & WILLIAMS, Mrs Yvonne & WILLIA Xardox Fire and Ice Strong head on this young bitch, with a thick well muscled neck. Lovely eye colour and good shape. Nicely constructed forehand with good lay of shoulder and excellent bone. She had good ribs and length of loin, she needs to strengthen her topline however this should come with age. Good muscling for her age, moved well though I would prefer to see her moved at a slightly slower speed. Best Puppy in Breed and huge congratulations on your Group placing. 2nd: 186 HENDERSON, Mrs Elaine Kensesqui Chocolate Walnut Less mature than the first place bitch and made along finer lines but a lot to like. Feminine, balanced head, good neck into well constructed front. She has enough bone to balance her overall frame. Good chest and ribbing, muscling is coming along nicely for her age. Moved loosely but covered the ground well, she just needs time and she has plenty of it. Class 93 JB (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 188 KENYON, Mr Declan & KENYON, Mrs Stephanie Regalrouge's Opulence for Desquire Loved her head and expression, very typical for the breed. Beautiful eyes, nice amount of wrinkle and strong muzzle. Excellent chest and very well off for bone. Well ribbed and strong through the loin, really well muscled hind however she is slightly weak in the hocks which impacted my final decision in the line up. Moved well especially when watching her going around the ring. Reserve Best Bitch. 2nd: 192 MORAN, Mrs Linda Aibrean Killer Queen Another pretty bitch with a charming expression. Nice eye colour, good muzzle to skull ratio and strong jaw. She is also well off for bone but doesn’t quite have the chest of the first. Well ribbed and well held topline, good rear construction. Moved well but couldn’t quite match the drive of her competition today. Class 94 PGB NO ENTRIES Class 95 OB (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 191 MORAN, Mrs Linda Aibrean All That I Know This is a really lovely girl, such a melting expression and so besotted with her handler. Beautifully balanced head with correctly coloured eyes and good ear carriage. Strong jaw with good flews. Excellent neck into good shoulder placement, good chest and well boned fores. Strong pasterns and good feet. Well sprung ribs, excellent strength of loin and well held topline. Nicely angulated rear which is well muscled. Sturdy hocks which she used to drive around the ring. Close decision between her and the dog but ultimately she settled for Best Bitch and Reserve Best of Breed. Class 96 SBB NO ENTRIES
