I would like to thank all the exhibitors for such a lovely entry both in respect of number and quality. There was a lovely atmosphere around the ring. I was very pleased with my top winners and in particular my best of breed. I am left wondering why this six year old dog has not won a CC up to now. He displays everything you require in a Brittany. The standard requires the Brittany to be cobby with substance without heaviness and moderately well-boned; this dog displays these qualities. He also has the correct ratio of leg length to body depth of 12:11; many current winning dogs have equal leg length and body depth which alters the overall desired outline of the breed. He also has correct tight lips with upper lip just slightly overlapping lower - a feature which we are in danger of losing in the breed with many dogs having too much flew and too much stop.
