SWKA Utility Group

My thanks to the committee of SWKA for their invitation and hospitality. Congratulations on a well run show, with the groups called early afternoon allowing many do drive home in daylight. I thought there were a lot of very good dogs in this group and were more contenders than shortlist placings. The Boston, Kooiker and Min Poodle were all in contention to come out.I thought the final 8 were of ahigh quality and included; the Akita, imposing male with a super head, Bulldog, really sound and typical mover with a super head, Standard Poodle, really feminine with beautiful head and ideal proportions, Tibetan Spaniel, lovely mover and liked his proportions and carrying right amount of coat.

Which left the four that were placed –

1st Place Ch Vormund Xmas Bonus, Breed: Japanese Shiba Inu (Miss M Dunhill-Hall)

Really super Shiba. Judged him recently in the breed and thought him excellent. His

proportions are excellent, Super head eyes, ears and expression. Correct length neck.

He is moderate and balanced in angulation. Moves with a light and easy stride.

Group - 2nd Place Shenedene World Trader, Breed: Lhasa Apso (Miss M D Hall)

So very well made and a great mover. Impressed with his front, not always easy to

get right in this breed. He has a super body and topline. Well made rear. Coat

super in presentation and impressed with how well muscled he is.

Group - 3rd Place Ch Lechan Rodrik Ir Jun Ch, Breed: Chow Chow (Mr S B & Mrs P M Godber)

This show has excellent proportions with decent leg length and short back. Impressed

With his clean eyes. Neat ears, giving typical expression. Typical mover.

Group - 4th Place Hasaki Team Nobu Meiho (Imp Srb), Breed: Japanese Akita Inu (Mr E & Mrs N Duffield)

He has a most lovely head with super eyes giving a typical expression. Liked his

outline, with correct proportions. Went well holding that firm topline.
