WELKS

Coton De Tulear

Although type varied somewhat I thought the quality was good in this entry.

Veteran D. (1 abs)

Puppy D (1)

1. Cotonecosse King of The Road for Cotonalba (Mr J K Murdoch)

Masc puppy who is very promising. Liked his proportions. Well balanced head, super pigment. Dark eyes. Enough neck. Quite a good front. Good width to his chest . Well ribbed. Slight arch to loin and correct tail set and carriage. Parallel going away. BP on better tail carriage

Junior d ne

Post grad d (1)

1st Place 1992 - Cotontop Peter Pan (Mrs L & Mr I M Peckett)

His body proportions are correct. Well textured coat. Masc head of good balance. Dark eye and pigment. Medium neck. Could have a little more width between his forelegs. Get ribbed back. Slight arch to topline and well set tail, although he carries it to one side. Super rear, and goes away so well. RBD

Limit d (3,2)

1st Place 1987 - Happypaws Kiss in The Dark (Mrs N J Morgan)

Plenty of this v well made d, whose proportions are correct. Excellent coat texture. Masc head, nose has lost pigment. Lengthy neck. Would like a straighter front. Well ribbed. Correct topline, tail set and carriage. Well made rear and so v well muscled. Accurate on the move.

Open d (4,1)

1st Place 1977 - Int Ch/be Ch Cotonkiss Heaven Help Us (Mrs C Clarke)

Good moving mature d of correct proportions. He has a v good head with the most delightful eye and expression. Lengthy neck. Well laid shoulder. Front could be straighter. Has a correct topline, tailset and carriage. Well ribbed back to a short loin. Super rear. Thought him a lovely example of this breed. BOB

2nd Place 1986 - Cotontastick Heresharley (Mrs N J Morgan)

Not quite as outgoing as 1. Liked his head. Enough neck. Moderate in his angulation. Would prefer a longer ribcage and shorter loin. Has the correct topline. Slope to croup. Carries tail over spine.

3rd Place 1979 - Cotonkiss Relight My Fire with Cotonbobs (Mr L & Mrs J Haldane)

Puppy b (2)

1st Place 1990 - Valeast Jubilee Queen for Cotonalba (Mr J K Murdoch)

Promising pup. Liked her overall proportions. Fem head with dark pigment. Good balance of muzzle and skull. Enough neck. Could have a better layback of shoulder. Well sprung ribs. Short loin. Topline can still develop. Liked her rear. Went well. V good coat texture. Tail a little tight to her topline.

2nd Place 1983 - Montewhite Hera (Imp Pol) NAF (Mrs L Harris)

She looked better on the table for balance and proportions than on floor. Coat and colour needs to sort itself. Liked her head, dark eyes. Medium neck. Well balanced in her angulation and a sound mover. Liked her topline.

Junior b (2 abs)

Post grad b (3,1)

These 2 were rather similar, the winner had better tail carriage on the move.

1st Place 1981 - Montewhite Lady Velvet Cloud at Cindaires (Imp Pol) (Mrs C Hancock)

Liked her proportions. Fem in head, could maybe have a fraction more width of skull and less length muzzle. She has dark eyes and v good pigment. Well made front with a well laid back shoulder. Correct in topline. Well bent stifle with low hocks. Correct coat texture. RBB

2nd Place 1985 - Cotonkiss Wotta A Girl Wants at Jandoes (Mrs J & Mr D Howsam)

She too is well proportioned and constructed. Correct topline. Slightly ptefered her head to 1. Tail straight up.

Limit b (2)

1st Place 1982 - Cotonclover Fiorangelo (Mrs L Harris)

Well proportioned and showy b who moved v well. She has a fem head, correct width of skull. Dark eyes. Enough neck. Shoulders could be laid back more. Lengthy upper arm. Straight front. Well spring ribs. Well bent stifle with low hocks. Super coat texture. BB

2nd Place 1991 - Cotonkiss Petite Power at Cotontop (Mrs L & Mr I M Peckett)

She has correct proportions. Didn’t use her tail and carrying rather too much coat. Liked her head. Dark eyes. Her angulation is well balanced.
