Judge – Mrs Jane Eyeington (Meadowdale)
I would like to thank the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge at this super show. And to my two efficient stewards who admirably kept myself and the exhibitors in order. We were fortunate to have a large ring, albeit indoors, and I think some dogs would have preferred to be outside, but the weather in October is rather changeable! A huge thank you to all the lovely exhibitors who braved the weather and the weekday traffic, it was a real honour to have the opportunity to judge your super dogs – Thank you. Delighted to watch my BOB go onto win BIS, the Best Special Beginner also winning ‘Best Special Beginner in Show’ how fab is that, well done. And the delightful puppy at just 6 months winning Puppy Group 4 at the end of a very long day – Congratulations.

1st Place 1090 - Apolwoodwin Moonshine (Mrs J & Mr J Littler)
What a little cracker, just loved this young lad, at only 6 months and a few days old and at his first show, he showed himself off with such confidence and style. For one so young he presented a balanced outline when stood. He has a gentle expression from his toning eyes, good length of neck, holding a firm topline both stood and on the move. Having a good amount of prosternum and depth. Standing on well boned limbs and nicely arched toes. Good width to his hindquarters. Moving out positive footfall. BPIB – delighted to watch him later go onto win Puppy Group 4
2nd Place 1108 - Roughshoot Red Red Wine of Solencia (Mr M & Mr B & Miss L Rackett & Rackett & Wilcox)
Another babe at only 6 months old, built on a slightly larger frame than winner, not quite so together at present. Much to like on this youngster, with a pleasing overall shape with good substance. He has a lean head, with strength to the foreface, oval toning eye giving a gentle expression. When viewed from the front, he shows straight forelegs, upright pasterns, and clean tight elbows. Nicely developed in forechest. He is a little lose in his topline at present. Wide quarters with a nice sweep of stifle. Showed drive on the move.
3rd Place 1118 - Bitcon Northern Dancer (Mr Underdown)

Shown in good muscletone and moving with good drive, whilst holding a pleasing outline in profile.
2nd Place 1086 - Listerlo Mr Magoo (Mrs E Hughes)
A little more refined 14 month old dog, liked his overall shape, just needing time to mature into his frame. Noble look to his head, clean neck of good length with a slight arch, nice flow to his topline, not quite the depth and forechest of winner, good angulation in the rear. Powerful movement from the rear, a little lose at present in front.

1st Place 1061 - Oakswarren Fire Kracker with Roughshoot (ai) (Mr J & Mrs S Bergin)
Was rather taken with this 18 month old dog, and one I considered for the top awards. He has a real zest for life and fun loving nature. He has a shapely outline on the stack, clean lines and flowing. Medium sized and not overdone. Balanced head piece, with toning eye and a rather endearing calf lick. Nicley arched neck, seamlessly flowing into a firm well held topline, well developed through the body with depth and forechest. Correct amount of bone and neat feet. Well muscled hindquarters. Became a little over enthusiastic on the move making his front a little untidy today. Lovely drive and side gait
