This show was a very positive experience for me and I am very grateful to the club for this opportunity to meet the Bouviers in the UK and a big thanks to my very professional stewards. The dogs certainly did not disappoint me, most of them were correct of type and good representatives of this beautiful breed. I would prefer a more natural and lively character of the dogs which would be reflected in their exhibition attitude. The Bouvier is an intelligent working dog and its naturally proud temperament is an essential element of its overall expression. I am very glad that my decision of placement was positively accepted. I want to thank the club committee for their hospitality and especially to all exhibitors for very friendly atmosphere. I wish everyone the best of luck in their show careers.

11 month old male, good development of body with solid bones and good back, his chest is well deep but could be a bit wider. Well set of tail, good angulation on both sides of limbs, free and easily gait, but still loose in the hock at the rear. Correct proportion of head with dark eyes, correct teeth and good pigmentation. The texture of the coat is currently softer due to his age. Both testicles. He presented very well. BPD & BPIS

14 month old male in good condition, well developed body with a straight line of back, well set of tail, the chest well wide and deep, good angulation on both sides in stance and in movement, correct proportion of head with dark eyes, nice pigmentation and correct teeth, has a nice expression. The quality of coat texture currently related to his age. Both testicles. Very charming character but needs more self-confidence in his presentation.

Class 4. Veteran Dog (1 entry)

7 year old male of standard size, in very good condition for his age, with the well-balanced proportion of his square body,  well muscled, strong bones, well broad and deep of chest, excellent top line and still very strong straight back. Very well shaped neck with correctly formed head carried proudly. A strong lower jaw with correct teeth, dark eyes, good forehead and skull, very well styled hair on head without exaggeration or covering of the eyes. The forelegs straight and shoulders well placed, the angulation of the hindquarters almost correct and his gait is dynamic, full of energy, requiring a little more control in the rear, but free and easy. He has an excellent rough coat and both testicles. I like his self-confidence and natural pride, which emphasize his masculine expression and regardless of his age, he is still a typical representative of the breed. DCC, BV, BIS

Class 5. Post Graduate Dog (2 entries)
1st. No 10. (Lamberink-Vermeulen, Mrs. M.), GRAND VD NEVELHOEVE
2.5 yr old male with a good body to head ratio within the standard. Still a youthful appearance, a firm back line, even in movement and well set of tail. His neck could be a little better positioned. Correctly shaped head with nice dark eyes and good teeth. The angulation of the limbs on both sides is acceptable, but would be desirable a powerful drive in his movement. A full maturity will emphasize his masculine expression. The coat is in good condition and he has a friendly character. RDCC

18 month old male, with a well-developed body, but slightly longer in the loins, well muscled and strong bones. He has a well shaped chest but still needs more volume which will improve the placement of his shoulders and the shape of his neck. Has a straight back line and a well set of tail. Good proportion of head, dark eyes, well set and carriage of ears, correct teeth. Moderate angulation of the hindquarters, the feet are slightly turned out. The hocks should be straighter and firmer for a more powerful drive when moving. He presents very well.

2 yr old male, has a well muscled body,  slightly longer in the loins. Well depth and width of the chest. He could have a slightly better shaped neck and hold it more proudly. Firm back line and well tail set. Well proportion of the head with masculine expression, dark eyes, correct bite, well set and carriage of ears. The hair grooming of the head could be a bit better, less is more and the eyes would be visible with his typical alert expression. The angulation is good on both sides with strong hocks in rear, which is allowing a good drive and a balanced movement. He is good presented and has a friendly character.

Lovely female expression with excellent proportion of head, good eyes and set of ears, the pigmentation could be a little intense. Correct top line. The angulation of the limbs is good, but still a bit loose in the hocks and needs use more of power in the movement. The texture of the coat is currently in relation to her age. BPB

15 month female in good condition. Her body is still developing and currently well balanced but needs more volume in the depth and width of the chest. Straight back line with well shaped of neck and good proportioned head with a beautiful feminine expression, correct bite, dark eyes. The pigmentation could be more intense. The angulation is moderate in standing, but the hocks are still a bit narrow and needs more coordination when moving. The texture of coat is medium rough. She has a lovely character.

2nd. No 5. (De Boo, Mrs L.), ZHORA-VIPER VD VANENBLIKHOEVE (Imp NL)
15 month black female of good size and solidly built body, slightly longer in the loins. In the silhouette, the head appears slightly smaller in proportion to the body. The strongly muscled neck is slightly shorter and the shoulder could be a bit better shaped. Has beautiful eyes, good teeth and correct set of ears. Slightly more angled hocks in standing what causes a less of drive when moving. She could show more temperament. The texture of the coat currently related to her age.

Class 12. Veteran Bitch (1 entry)

8 year old, very impressive and well built female with a solid standard square body, strong bones and feet, but yet elegant and harmonious in appearance. Definitely excellent top line with a strong back, nicely balanced front and well sprung ribs. A noble, well proportioned head, elegantly carried on a well-shaped neck, nice eyes, strong jaw and good teeth, correct setting and carrying of ears, has a beautiful typical expression. The coat on the head has a typical grooming without un-excessive covering of eyes. Correct texture of the coat on the body. Balanced angulation of the limbs on both sides, that allows her to move easily with a dynamic gait regardless of her age. Excellent temperament and condition, she was presented perfectly. RBCC

1st. No. 11. (Lamberink-Vermeulen, Mrs. M.), GRACE VD NEVELHOEVE
2.5-yr old female of correct proportioned square body. She still looks very young and needs more bones and substance, but has a good straight top line and a well set of tail. Well shaped of head with correct teeth, good pigmentation and properly set of ears. She could have a little more of a feminine expression. The hindquarters are almost moderately angulated and the hocks could be a bit firmer, but the movement is free and easy with a good drive. The texture of the coat is medium rough and in good condition. She is presented well.

2nd. No 9. (Kennedy, Mrs E.), NIKOLAEV AIREN
2 yr old female, good substance of a strong but slightly long body and regardless of her longer loins, her back is firm when moving. Well shaped neck and straight top line, well set of tail. Correct proportion of head with good eyes and teeth, ears could be carrying a bit better. Moderate angulation on both sides, but she needs more drive in movement. The texture of coat related to her age. She has a very friendly personality, but she definitely needs more of self-confidence in her presentation.

Class 14. Limit Bitch (5 entries)

2 yr old, very pretty and well-built female has a self-confidence that well reflected in her typical movement. Muscled and square body with a good formed of shoulder, correct top line and firm straight back, good bones and substance. She has a nicely formed head with a feminine expression hold proudly on a correct formed neck. Almost perfect angulation of the hindquarters with a powerful drive, giving her a balanced, free and easy movement. An overall excellent appearance gives the impression of a good representative of the breed, she deserves an award BCC and BOS

2nd. No 7. (Jones, Mrs A & Jones, Miss H), NIKOLAEV ROUSSANNE AT ABBIVILLE
2-yr old female, of a generally good sized and muscular shaped body with a good substance and feminine expression, good top line with straight back and a well formed of neck, but the front could be a little better balanced with the shoulder. The almost correct angulation of the hindquarters with a strong drive gives her free movement and an pleasing appearance. She has the right proportion of the head with a strong lower jaw and correct teeth, nice expressive eyes. The texture of coat is a medium rough. More self-confidence would help her for an even better presentation.

3rd. No 2. (Bruintjes-Schaap,Mev.) WYFKE OPALE VD VANENBLIKHOEVE
2 yr old black and still young looking female with a good size of body, but slightly longer in the loins, strong bones and well set of tail. The width and depth of the chest needs a bit more development for a better positioning of the front and shoulders. Moderate angulation of the hind legs, but still a bit looser in the hocks and requires more force in the movement. The feminine and well-formed head has a correct eyes, correct teeth and set of ears. The coat is medium rough, related to her age. She could have a little more temperament.

4 yr old female, an excellent type with a good size and correctly shaped body with a correct top line, straight back, well set of tail. Perfectly shaped neck. Correct proportion of head with lovely feminine expression, good depth and width of chest, correct angulation on both sides and gait is free and supple with strong drive and good balance in moving. The coat is medium rough. A pleasing temperament and very well presented.

2nd. No 13. (Nichols, Mrs L.), NIKOLAEV ANUKE
4.5 yr old female, a very robust shaped of body with strong bones and a broad, well-dept of chest. Strong backline with a well tail set. Correctly shaped of head with the dark eyes and correct teeth. The grooming of the head could be a little better, the coat is too rich and covers the eyes which hides her pretty feminine expression. The angulation of the limbs is optimal on both sides when standing, but when moving it seems that the hocks could be firmer with a better drive. The coat is medium rough and the female is presented in a good condition.

3rd. No 18. (Simmons & Pierpoint, Miss W&Mrs Ca), CHEPAM QUEEN OF SWORDS
Almost 3 year old female with a sturdy and compact, well-muscled body with a good bones, correct depth and broad of chest and very well-shaped neck. Nice short back line with a strong croup, the tail set could be better. Correctly proportioned head with dark, expressive eyes, good teeth and strong lower jaw. She has a very nice expression. When standing, the angulation of both limbs are almost correct, but when moving, I miss a bit driving and coordination of the rear legs. She has a very good texture of coat, correctly groomed. Has a very lovely character.

Res. No 8. (Jones, Mrs A & Jones, Miss H), NIKOLAEV SERET AT ABBIVILLE
4.5 year old female, good size, but a little longer. Good depth and width of chest but the neck could be formed a bit better. Straight back line when standing, but not so firm when moving. The head is of good proportions, dark eyes and good teeth. Her nice feminine expression is hidden with the excessive hair on her head. The angulation of the hindquarters seems better in standing than in action, because the hocks are somewhat narrow and therefore gives a less of power when moving. The texture of the coat is medium rough. She has a friendly character.
