Judge: Mrs D Stewart-Ritchie

A.V. PASTORAL, WORKING & TOY JUNIOR STAKES DOG (12,8)

1st: Pickup’s KILTONDALE HEAT OF THE NIGHT. Bearded Collie. Have judged this smart youngster before at one of his very first shows. I found he had great appeal then and in todays competition once again he caught my eye. He is very balanced, stands on quality bone and good feet and has a really lovely outline. His make and shape are excellent and he is very nice in type. Good head properties with good strength to muzzle with a strong underjaw. Correct eye shape and enough stop. Good reach and arch of neck. Good lay of shoulder and decent return of upper arm. He has enough fill in front. Good ribs - long, deep and with enough spring. Well developed in loin with strength there. He has a firm level topline and is good through the pelvis with correct low set tail which is carried correctly. Excellent rear assembly with plenty of muscling. Well presented in good coat. Moved out well with plenty reach and drive whilst efficient.

2nd Prescott’s GRAVELOUS FUSTOS FICKO. Hungarian Pumi. Well put together smart package who really put it all in on the move. Good in head properties. Pleasing in skull, foreface with plenty of underjaw. Correct eye shape, colour and well positioned correct, shaped ears. Very nice in front assembly with matching rear, complimentary and put down here in super muscle and condition. Nice square shape, and very nice for type.

3rd Snell’s SKIN DEEP'S MINT CONDITION (IMP NOR)

She has plenty of breed type and is good in head with large, dark eye, good expression, plenty of wrinkle, well cushioned, with open nostrils. Dark nose of good size. Small well-placed rose ears. Strong neck into good front. Well-developed moderate rear end with moderate turn of stifle and is good in width across thigh areas. Well placed tail, curl. Pleasing in bone and tight feet. She put on a great performance and kept her topline well at all times on the around, with enough reach and drive also on the go around.

2nd De Boo’s ZHORA-VIPER V.D.VANENBLIKHOEVE (NAF) Bouvier. Very nice all round - good shape and square enough. Stands on good bone and feet. Has plenty ribbing and strong in the loin. Good in width across the croup. Pleasing in shoulder line and straight and true in front. Strong yet feminine, pleasing in head and with muscular neck.
