Southern Counties

1st June 2023

What a marvellous day for the breed with so many wins in the Big Rings! Many congratulations!

Polish Lowland Sheepdog

PD (1): 1 BP, BD & PG3 Mottram’s Mybeards Sweep, absolutely cracking b/w pup, good height to length ratio, deep brisket with elbows close to the chest wall. Nice bone for size & excellent angles fore & aft, level topline, really moved well off strong rear pasterns. He is an exciting prospect – he is solid with nothing exaggerated. I couldn’t resist him for BD & delighted he went PG3.

JD (1): RBD, BJ & BJIG Burdett-Coutts’ Leon Astarte Gold Ama Me at Chrevle (Imp POL), w/b boy of nearly 18 months, head of correct size with open nostrils, moderate clean neck into well laid shoulders, good strength through the forearms, correct turn of stifle. Presents a pleasing picture in outline – robust - & moved well in profile. Delighted he went Best Junior in Group! Congratulations!

LD (1): 1 Hillier’s Mybeards Zip (AI), b/w dog of nearly 2 years. Appeals in head with correct nose & open nostrils. Good bone for size, moderate length of neck into well laid shoulders, correct angulation to front pasterns, coat of good texture, moved well with good power behind him.

V (1): 1 BV Churchouse’s Mybeards Violet, hard to believe this b/w bitch is 12 ½ years – she certainly belies her years & is in good condition. Appeals in head & outline with correct body ratios, good bone for size & in good coat too. She moved well if a little reluctantly at times but who can blame her!

LB (1): 1 Cole’s Acaviste Pon Cenna, b/w bitch nearing 2 years, appealing head with good open nostrils, moderate length of neck into well laid shoulders, excellent topline, she presents a good picture standing with correct leg to body ratio, just a little close behind going away today.

O (3): What a lovely trio of bitches all bred by the same kennel. 1 BB, BOB & G4 Mottram’s Ch Mybeards Hera, quality bitch, has a lovely front assembly, correct depth of brisket, good topline, & in taut condition through the loin with well-muscled quarters. Correct angles fore & aft with good angulation. Her coat is dense & fit for purpose. She went well in the Group and I wasn’t surprised to see her make it to G4! Well done! 2 RBB Shrieves’ Int/Ir/Nl Ch Mybeards Hope IR CENT CH AN CH 22 CW19/22 BW 22, b/w solid bitch of 7 years, appeals standing & moving, medium neck into well laid shoulders, good bone for size, correct ribbing & taut through the loin. Preferred rear angles of 1 for BB; 3 King’s Mybeards Dizzy at Grayona.
