My first time giving tickets in this breed and I enjoyed it immensely. By now it was very hot indeed so movement was kept to a minimum. My stewards, Graham and Pauline kept things running smoothly. I am very grateful to the exhibitors for bringing their lovely dogs for me to assess.

Class 587 VD NO ENTRIES

Class 588 PD (6 Entries) Abs: 2

1st: 1331 LOVELL, Mrs J & LOVELL, Mr MJ Clumbraise Your Song (Imp Nor) NAF. He headed a class of quality puppies because he was the cleanest in eye. He is long in body, has a square head with a square finish to his muzzle, well set ears, plenty of bone and substance, good angulation and short strong legs. He is a powerful mover and upped his game in the challenge to take the RCC. BPIB.

2nd: 1323 FENWICK, Mr A G & THOMPSON, Mr J M & LANGRIDGE, Mr BADGERSMOON THE MOST WANTED. He has a fairly long, thick neck, clean shoulders, firm, strong body and short, well boned legs. A lovely boy.

3rd: 1322 FENWICK, Mr A G & THOMPSON, Mr J M & LANGRIDGE, Mr BADGERSMOON IT HAD TO BE YOU

Res: 1321 FENWICK, Mr A G & THOMPSON, Mr J M & LANGRIDGE, Mr Badgersmoon The One And Only

Class 589 JD NO ENTRIES

Class 590 PGD (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1319 FENWICK, Mr A G & THOMPSON, Mr J M & LANGRIDGE, Mr BADGERSMOON MR BRANSON. He has a large square head, strong neck, well laid shoulders, deep chest and is well muscled all through. He was let down by his eyes which could have been cleaner and although moved well he didn’t have the head carriage to be considered for top honours.

Class 591 LD (3 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 1324 FURNELL, Mr Ricky Alan Vanitonia Rio Sonora to Bebecova. The standard calls for an abundant, close, silky, straight coat and this boy has it in spades. So much so that once I got my hands under it I gasped at his powerful build and tremendous bone. He has a terrific forehand with a thick powerful neck, well laid shoulders, fabulous return of upper arm, prominent prosternum and short, straight legs. He has big ribs and a wide and powerful bum with a well muscled flare over his hips. His head is large and square with a deep square muzzle and is completely without exaggeration. He has clean dark amber eyes and his vine leaf shaped ears frame his head beautifully. He moves with power and drive and has a terrific tail action. He was a very worthy CC winner and I was delighted to hear that this was his third and crowning one. His litter sister was on sparkling form today and so beat him for BOB.

2nd: 1320 FENWICK, Mr A G & THOMPSON, Mr J M & LANGRIDGE, Mr Suelynda Second Edition With Badgersmoon. This boy was not helping himself but I could see that he has breed type and carries a silky coat with plenty of feathering.

Class 592 OD (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1333 STOOP, Mr A.C and Mrs J.M & STOOP, Mrs D.J.M Dutch Badgersmoon Bright Future. He has a square head but could be cleaner in eye and stands on well boned legs and large feet. I would prefer a longer body but he has breed attributes and I liked his short strong hocks and well muscled quarters that he used to power round the ring. Although he had an abundant coat it was too woolly for my taste.

2nd: 1337 THOROGOOD, Mrs L J ANBROOK DON'T STOP ME NOW AT HARRIFIELD. He has the length of body to fit the standard but I preferred the head of the winner. His neck is powerful and fits cleanly into his shoulders, wide, well muscled quarters but he was down in pastern. He carries a silky straight coat.

Class 594 VB NO ENTRIES

Class 595 PB (3 Entries) Abs: 0

This was an excellent class and bodes well for the future. I’m sure all three have bright futures ahead of them.

1st: 1325 FURNELL, Mr Ricky Alan Bebecova Scarlet Witch. She oozes quality and breed type, has a beautiful head and eye, well sprung ribs and powerful quarters. She moved with style and purpose to win the class but in the challenge she had had enough (it was very hot by this time).

2nd: 1339 WILSON, Mrs S A & WILSON, Miss L Vanitonia Some Like It Hot at Winhampton. These two litter sisters who stood 2nd and 3rd were excellent exhibits with typical outlines, strength in body, strong bone and substance, beautiful heads and fabulous feet. They have such thoughtful expressions and gleaming silky white coats.

3rd: 1332 MATTHEWS, Miss E & MOON, Mrs A Vanitonia Song and Dance

Class 596 JB (1 Entries) Abs: 1

Class 597 PGB (2 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 1330 LOVELL, Mrs J & LOVELL, Mr MJ Abbyford Lady Merry of Ivale. What a lively mover she is with a fabulous tail action but today she was rather down in pastern and her feet tended to be long and flat. That said she is well made, long and strong in body with plenty of bone. Her head is square and well proportioned with heavy brows and a thoughtful expression.

Class 598 LB (3 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 1318 CROCKER, Mr B A & FROST, MISS A & CAHILL, MR S & C VANITONIA SECRET EPISODE. What an absolutely stunning example of the breed she is. On the stack she denotes strength and balance and is clearly fit for a day’s work and yet she maintains femininity and has an element of glamour about her with her flawlessly silky gleaming white coat. Her head is square with heavy brows and a deep stop and she has such clean eyes. Her expression is one of wistfulness and kindness. She is long and strong in body with plenty of heart and lung room and she has very powerful hindquarters with a good turn of stifle. She moves so effortlessly and shows a clean pair of heels going away. In profile she has an open side gait and carries her tail in line with her back. She was quietly handled and moved to perfection to take the CC and BOB. I see that she was recently titled and that this is her 4th CC.

2nd: 1338 WILSON, Mrs S A & WILSON, Miss L Winhampton Pandoras Box. She is not as mature as the winner and doesn’t carry the coat but I liked her very much indeed. She is well balanced with well laid shoulders, deep ribs, strong powerful quarters and low hocks. She has a lovely head and eye and moves very well using her tail as she goes. Pleased to award her the RCC.
