Thankyou to everyone for their entries. I found mostly naturally groomed dogs which I prefer to the new way of grooming., The breed standard calls for correct coat needs no trimming and is very specific about the coat pattern.

Correct movement is rare we are fast losing the distinctive front action of the affenpinscher. I have never believed the affenpinscher would excel at group level as they are not a glamorous breed despite some exhibitors trying to make them so. That being said I found some lovely typical affenpinschers today .

Smaller dog and very immature, Square body. Correct head proportions with good lip placement.Needs to gain confidence

2nd: 6386 CONWAY, Mrs J Affentude loony tunes for stormjac.Needs to gain more body condition as at the inbetween stage. I would prefer a more defined triangle on the head. A great showman

Love his head and expression. Correct triangle between eyes and length of muzzle. Good mouth withwell placed lips. Liked the size of this boy. Correct coat pattern . He is such a handful so excited

2nd Dennis Ms & MrsC&A Yorcrechi impossible Dream. I absolutely loved this boy. Had a true affenpinscher head, neat ears, perfect triangle. Short neck , straight front ,square body, hindquarters set under body. He just wouldnt cooperate with his handler so I couldn't assess movement sadly.

I have admired this dog from the ringside and wasn't disappointed when i went over him. He couldnt be anything other than an affenpinscher as he is moderate in all departments, Small neat ears correct length of muzzle with wide jaw and good lip placement. Short neck leading in to upright shoulders. Good strong loin ,square body correctly set tail. I hope this boy is used as he will be good for the breed.CC and BOB

A lovely old fashioned type of affenpinscher who has all the correct attributes if he would just give a little more. Balanced head although his ears could be neater. Really good quality coat, Straight front well placed shoulders and short neck. Moves with positive goose step.

What a lovely surprise this little girl was. Quite mature in body and outlook . Correctly balanced head with monkey expression, dark eyes wide nostrils good underjaw. Short neck leading to well placed shoulders. Moderate angulation throughout .Square body small with good bone.Finished with excellent coat beautifully presented. CC

Another favourite of mine . At 14 she moves in true affenpinscher style with a good front action. Positive movement behind. The sweetest and cheekiest of expressions. Dark sparkling eyes. Good width of jaw. For best Veteran she had to give way to the dog who was half her age.
