Large Munsterlander
My first appointment in Large Munsterlanders, I would like to that the exhibitors for their entries and for such a sporting response to my placing. I had some quality dogs under me, it was a pleasure to judge today. My thanks also to my stewards who kept everything running smoothly.
My Dog CC came for the limit class and was Albadhu Wish Upon A Star JW (Miss E & F Logie & Braidwood), my Reserve Dog CC from the open class wants was Sh Ch Crumpsbrook Woodrush (Ms J E & Mr A E Powell & Murrell). My Bitch CC and BOB was Sh Ch Quilesta Simply Exquisite (Miss V Wilkins) and my Reserve Bitch CC Sh Ch Albadhu Pawsitive Vibes JW (Miss E & F Logie & Braidwood).
My Best Special Beginners was Quilesta Just Captivating (Miss A Shemming), sadly there were no puppies present today.

1st Place Sh Ch Wonglepong Wills Faramir (Mr P W Disney)
One I have met before, and he did well under me then I recall. Super head piece with a lovely eye. Strong neck into well set shoulders. He has good overall balance, stands on good straight legs and feet. Well made in body with ribs well sprung and firm in loin. Held his topline throughout. Quarters are well muscled, well-turned stifles and hocks well let down. Coat in super condition and well presented. Moved out well, slightly proud of his tail and just a shade untidy in front action as he came towards me which cost him in the challenge.
2nd Place Sh Ch Quilesta So Majestic of Rockfest (Miss S Miller)
Another good one, seven years old and so typy, and I was not surprised to read that he has his title. He has a typical outline, a good head and expression, personally I would like his eyes a shade darker. He has a good straight front, shoulders well laid back and stands on good well boned legs and tight feet. Ribs well sprung and of good depth. Quarters are well made with good muscle-tone. Good carriage on the move but wasn’t settled today and lost accuracy in footfall, which cost him the class.

Two smart youngsters who I am sure will trade places many times.
1st Place Elmer vom Blitzenbach at Amasffoy (Imp Deu) (Dr C J & Mrs C Middleton & Trowsdale)
Super type about this young man, just over the 12 months mark and progressing in all the right directions. He has a pleasing headpeice which is well proportioned, a well assembled front, clean reach of neck, shoulders well laid back and has enough depth to his chest for his age. Ribs well sprung, good in loin and holds his topline well. Decent quarters on him to give a balanced picture. Moved out well with a typical action. A smart youngster.
2nd Place Kamaze Dance in The Dark (Mr P W Disney)
I really liked this chap on the stack, he presented a super outline and balance. He was in super coat and condition. Heavier than the winner, his headpiece is masculine with a super dark eye. Clean neck in to well set shoulders and a good front assembly. Stands on well boned legs and tight feet. Good through the body, ribs well sprung and firm in loin. Quarters developing well. Good bend of stifle. He was not at his best on the move, his handler had to quickly swap from showing the veteran and he was just unsettled, which was a shame. Once he gets his act together, he should do well.
Post Graduate Dog Entries: 2 Absentees: 1
1st Place Vonstrahlend Kam Das Leben (Mrs N M & Mr I Griffiths-Rose & Griffiths)
In this class this chap stood alone and didn’t make the best of himself, he repeated in limit and was much more together there. Head is masculine with a pleasing expression, strong in neck, shoulders Ok, but I would like a little more layback and he needs to drop into his front. Good through the body, ribs need a bit more spring which they will do as he matures. Good quarters on him. In lovely coat and condition, moved well with a good action, just a shade proud of his tail today.

1st Place Albadhu Wish Upon A Star JW (Miss E & F Logie & Braidwood)
Young dog just rising two and a very exciting prospect. On the stack he has a super outline. I thought he had a super head piece on him, which gave a kind masculine expression. He has a strong neck which led into a super front assembly, shoulders well laid back and a good return of upper arm. Stands on well boned legs and super feet. His body is well made, ribs well sprung and he has a well-muscled loin all giving a firm strong back. Moderate rear, correct bend of stifle and hocks well let down. In super coat and condition and handled to advantage. Won the class on his effortless free movement, in the challenge he just flowed, and I could not deny him the CC, his second I understand. I doubt his third will be far away.
2nd Place Vonstrahlend Kam Das Leben (Mrs N M & Mr I Griffiths-Rose & Griffiths)
3rd Place Ekkolander Dark Madness at Leriton (Ms C & Mrs L Simpson & Johnston)
Open Dog Entries: 5 Absentees: 0
1st Place Sh Ch Crumpsbrook Woodrush (Ms J E & Mr A E Powell & Murrell)
I thought this dog looked super on the stack, he had the square shape and stature I was looking for and captured my attention on my first walk round. A 5-year-old male with a classic head and expression, enhanced by super dark eyes. Strong neck into well laid-back shoulders, good depth to his chest and standing on well boned legs and tight feet. In body he is well proportioned, ribs well sprung through the loin and strong in back. He has super quarters on him with stifles well bent. He moved out well to take the class with a free action. Going into the challenge I thought he would be my winner, but he just lost his rhythm and coordination, on the final run off the limit dog just pipped him, so today he had to be content with the RCC. Not surprised to be told afterward that he already has his title, a super dog.
2nd Place Sh Ch Albadhu Walk On The Wildside (Miss E & F Logie & Braidwood)
Another impressive dog who presents an impressive picture on the stack. I like his head piece, masculine in expression and eyes of good shape. Good neck into a well assembled front, shoulders are well laid back. He stands on well boned legs and tight feet. He has depth to his chest and is well made in body with well sprung ribs, a tad long in loin. Quarters are well developed with stifles well turned. Excellent presentation and coat in super condition. Moved out very well, very sound, preferred the overall shape and outline of the winner today.
3rd Place Albadhu Hidden Potential (Mrs J Jenks)
Special Beginners Entries: 1 Absentees: 0
1st Place Quilesta Just Captivating (Miss A Shemming)
A pleasing lady, I liked her make and shape a lot, she is well put together with good angles front and rear and balanced proportions. Her head is feminine, eyes need to darken a shade. Good overall body proportions and quarters well developed. Needs to fill her frame to complete the picture which she will do as she matures up.
Junior Bitch Entries: 1 Absentees: 0
1st Place Albadhu Final Encounter (Miss E & F Logie & Braidwood)
A smart youngster with a lot of potential, very much at the growing stage. I liked her headpiece; she has a lovely expression enhanced by a kind eye. Good through the neck and a decent lay-back of shoulder, she stands on well boned legs and tight feet. Body developing nicely, a tad long in loin, Quarters are well made with stifle well turned. Moved out well, good drive about her, needs to tighten up in elbow which she will do as she matures. Should have a bright future ahead of her.
Post Graduate Bitch Entries: 5 Absentees: 0
This class was headed by two youngsters, both have great potential for the future.
1st Place Toberworry Little Lies (Mrs S J, Mr P & Miss H J Foreman)
A young 2 year old bitch but she is full of quality and very typy. I liked her overall make and shape; she has balanced proportions. Head is feminine with a good eye to enhance her expression, good tight lips. Her neck is strong and her shoulders well-set, good return of upper arm. Good through the body, correct topline and quarters well angulated, stifles well turned. Good well boned legs and tight feet. Excelled on the move. Pushed hard for the RCC but just needs a bit more maturity to complete the picture.
2nd Place Crumpsbrook Alchemilla (Mrs J Bargman)
Another youngster, this lady was just 22 months. I liked her type and overall shape. Lovely head on her with a kind expression, shoulders well set and stands on well boned legs. Well made in body, super quarters on her, stifles well turned. Coat in lovely condition. Moved out well, not quite as accurate as the winner on the up and down today. Should do well.
3rd Place Tureagh Crystal Cider (Ms J E & Mr A E Powell & Murrell)
Limit Bitch Entries: 2 Absentees: 0
1st Place Ekkolander Persephone Red at Leriton (Ms C & Mrs L Simpson & Johnston)
Good overall size and make on this lady, she presents a good overall shape and outline. Neck strong, balanced angles front and rear. Decent front assembly, needs to tighten in elbow. Good size, quarters well made with stifles well turned and hocks well let down. Moved out with drive.
2nd Place Ekkolander Dark Russian von Rockfest (Miss S Miller)
I like this lady a lot but today she wasn’t playing the game, she wasn’t happy and just wouldn’t put any enthusiasm in on the move at all, which was a shame. On the stack she presents a super outline, her head is pleasing with good proportions, giving a kind feminine expression. Strong in neck she has a super front assembly, shoulders well laid and stands on good legs and feet. Ribs well sprung, a tad long in loin. Well made quarters, stifles well turned and in hard condition.
Open Bitch Entries: 5 Absentees: 1
What a super class, some super ladies her and it was a real tussle for top spot.
1st Place Sh Ch Quilesta Simply Exquisite (Miss V Wilkins)
This lady looked very smart on the first walk round the ring and didn’t disappoint when I got my hands on her. She has the most super outline and good angulation front and rear. Her head is well made and feminine with a lovely kind expression. Clean in neck into well laid shoulders, tight in elbow and standing on well boned legs. Well developed through the body, ribs well sprung and firm in topline. Quarters well made; stifles well turned. Coat in excellent condition. Moved with drive and had carriage, the most accurate mover in the class. Pleased to award her the BCC and later BOB.
2nd Place Sh Ch Albadhu Pawsitive Vibes JW (Miss E & F Logie & Braidwood)
Another good one, impressive on the stack but not quite the front action of the winner today. She has a super head piece, feminine head and expression with a lovely dark eye. Strong through the neck in to well set shoulders, standing on well boned legs and tight feet. Depth to chest, ribs well sprung and quarters well developed. In super coat and condition. Great in profile movement, just not as tidy on the up and down. A quality bitch, not surprised to see she has her title. Today she had to settle for the RCC.
3rd Place Sh Ch Toberworry Breaking Dawn at Jendella's (Mr D A & Mrs B M Butler)
One who I have done well before and deserves a mention, she completed a trio of quality ladies.
